Welcome to your charming historic retreat in downtown Kansas City! Step back in time and experience the rich story behind this beautiful three-story Queen Anne-style home, built in 1887 by David Slater, an Irish tailor with a vision.

Perched on a 200-foot bluff, this house offers breathtaking views of the Missouri River and the historic West Bottoms. Imagine waking up to this picturesque scene every morning!

This house sits less than 1 mile from the Power and Light District as well as the T-Mobile Center, 1 mile away from the River Market, and less than 1 mile away from the Crossroads. The streetcar is also less than a mile away!

The Space
You can uber anywhere you want downtown for less than $10 and Bird in less than 5 minutes. In addition, the best wings in Kansas City are located a block away.

The unit includes high-end-furniture, fully equipped kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, large Samsung TV, washer, dryer, and two sofas available for sleeping if needed. Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms with one king-size bed and one queen-size bed including luxury bedding down to the mattress, renovated bathroom with tile shower, and a high-end showerhead. In addition, the second floor also offers plenty of closet space for all our ladies who like to overpack!

The house is just wonderful. And the location is fantastic. You can walk almost everywhere and the free tram is close. A bonus is the patio overlooking a green space and half block away you have a vista of the Missouri river and Kansas river.

We loved this property! As a KC native who usually stays with family WAYYYYY South, it was amazing to be in the heart of the city for our visit. The property is clean, well appointed, and has such a fun, funky vibe. The off- street parking is a huge plus in this part of town.we also loved the book of suggested things to do that the hosts pulled together. My only suggestion would be to hit the door hinges with a little wd40, because the squeaks really carry. That said, we had an amazing time and would 100% book again. Thanks for the oasis!

The home was exactly as listed. The exterior of the home is well manicured, secure, and pristine. The interior was stylish, immaculately clean, and had all the room we needed. It was a relief to come back to a comfortable and organized home at the end of a busy few days at a conference. It is clear that the owner cares about this property and really goes out of his way to value opinions which are clearly documented in a guest book. There were ample towels in the bathroom, comfortable beds, washer/dryer, and we had most of what we needed to make great meals each night. We had a lovely time and we thank Lance for thinking of each detail and ensuring we had a comfortable stay. If I ever came back to Kansas City, I would most definitely stay here again.

We had a great time and enjoyed the space. I truly appreciate good communication and timely responses. I felt safe and comfortable in this property. We loved the location and appreciate the attention to detail. The only issues we had were minor resolved. One suggestion we have is a large “water hog” door mat from LLBEAN to catch all the salt, snow and debris from outside to keep those floors in good condition. If you aren’t comfortable with stairs this space is not for you. I say this only because we are used to stairs at home but we have friends with mobility issues. The kitchen is spacious and you have all the tools you need to cover the basics. This place is close to a lot of things to do and we want to come back and stay longer.

Location is awesome just a few minutes from power and light district. The loft was beautifully decorated in all amenities you would need. Just a short drive to the plaza and on to crown clater and even closer union station. Everything you'd want to do just a few minutes away. The master bedroom is great and slept wonderful.

This property was a great find for a weekend in downtown KC. It was easy to get to and close to where we wanted to go. It’s in a historic building, which gives it charm but it’s been updated throughout. There are a lot of stairs, so be prepared. 2 parking spots are available in a private lot which worked perfect for us. Would definitely stay again!

The location was absolutely wonderful!! Enjoyed walking the hills of the neighborhood and going to the market for groceries. The finishes IN the apt are 5star! Gorgeous!! It was fun looking at all the quirky artwork and decor they used in this house, love the history behind it. The owner was quick to answer any questions and make suggestions for dinner or entertainment. Loved the ‘conversation starter jar’ left in living room for guests to utilize if entertaining. Reading the guest sign book was also fun and thoughtful. The amenities are more than you’ll need, huge walk in closets to boot!! The neighborhood is fabulous and you’re within walking distance to a lot of entertainment. Loved it!!

We had a great sisters’ weekend at this property. What a beautiful apartment! Pretty easy walking distance to downtown attractions and the free KC tram around the downtown area. Definitely recommend it!

This is a beautiful property in the Quality Hill neighborhood. It provides easy access to downtown attractions. It is very clean and the decor is fun - it definitely feels like you are staying in a friend's home. It was great to have a full kitchen and two well-appointed bedrooms. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay! The parking lot was hard to figure out how to get into at night but we figured it out. Beautiful scenery and architecture. One of the floor fans didn’t work and we could never get the television to connect to the internet so we were never able to watch anything despite following the owners advice to turn the TV off and on again. The TV in the kitchen didn’t even have a remote. We were pretty busy sightseeing and didn’t spend a ton of time there so it wasn’t a big deal but those small details do matter and if my kids had been with me both the fan and the TV would have been more important. The decor was very interesting and felt very comfortable and homey.

We were in town for an event in the West Bottoms, and this location was absolutely perfect!! We booked the entire property with two other families. We all had plenty of space, and enjoyed cooking out in the evenings in the darling courtyard. For nights when we were too tired to cook we ordered ClusterTruck and delivery was so fast. The homes were all artfully decorated, very well appointed with laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, and toiletries, and were meticulously clean. The host was wonderful about responding to a light not working, and it was promptly taken care of the next day. We have recommended this to friends already, and will definitely book again if we are in the area! As an added bonus the private gated parking lot easily fit 4 large trucks and an SUV, and was very safe. We absolutely loved this property!

Quaint and stylish. Well maintained. The loft is part of a beautiful, old, 3 story brick turn of century home. Lots of stairs and only 1 full bath (which is up). Patio furniture would have been great, to enjoy the perfect mornings and evenings.
