About this house rental
Bishop’s Villa K is as beautiful as the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo Mountains visible through its many windows. So luxurious is this three-bedroom, three-bathroom condo, you may be tempted to spend your entire stay within its pampering confines—even though Santa Fe Plaza and the rest of the downtown area are only 15 minutes away.
With its vigas (rounded ceiling beams), kiva fireplaces, carved wood furnishings and wood-plank doors, Bishop’s Villa K offers classic Southwestern style at its most elegant. In the living room, a wall of windows allows you to admire the mountains while ensconced in a comfortably cushioned sofa or settee. Once you turn your gaze back indoors, you can watch a movie on the flat-screen TV with cable or surf the web via the complimentary Wi-Fi. When you return from a day on the slopes (Ski Santa Fe is only 40 minutes away), you’ll love gathering around the fireplace, hot cocoa or Irish coffee in hand.
Two of the three en-suite bedrooms have fireplaces as well, ideal for creating a romantic ambience. These suites also boast sumptuous king-size beds; the 3rd has a queen bed. All three bedrooms include a flat-screen TV and direct access to a patio. Wake up to watch the sunrise cast a rosy glow over the mountains; point out the constellations in the star-studded night sky before slipping into the cozy comfort of your bed.
Each bedroom has its own private bathroom as well. You’ll be able to indulge in a lengthy shower or bath without a line forming on the other side of the door. The primary bathroom is especially pampering: It features a jetted tub. After a day of hiking, skiing or sightseeing, your weary muscles will welcome a long soak among its massaging jets of water.
Given how close Bishop’s Villa K is to downtown, you could easily eat out at a different restaurant for each meal without driving more than 15 minutes. Once you see the condo’s spectacular kitchen, though, you might want to prepare at least some meals yourself. Sparkling stainless-steel appliances, expansive gleaming counters, and a bounty of cookware and tableware encourage you to try those elaborate recipes you never have time for at home. There’s a gas grill on the patio as well, should you want to cook alfresco. You can also dine outdoors, at the patio table; there’s even a sun umbrella to provide some shade during the heat of summer. Of course, you can eat indoors as well. The dining room table seats six; adjacent to the table is a breakfast bar with three stools, should you have additional guests or simply want to grab a snack.
As you look out at the mountains, the brush, and the seemingly endless sky, you could easily forget that the attractions and excitement of downtown Santa Fe are only minutes away. The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, Santa Fe Plaza, Loretto Chapel, the Palace of the Governors and San Miguel Mission are just a few of the top attractions you can drive to in 15 minutes or less. Equally close are the acclaimed galleries, shops, and restaurants of Canyon Road. If it’s hiking you want, the Atalaya Mountain, Dale Ball and Dorothy Stewart trails are less than 20 minutes away.
No matter how you spend your days, one thing is certain: You’ll love returning to the beauty and comfort of Bishop’s Villa K afterward. Book your stay today… before someone else beats you to it.
Please note, the community pool is seasonal from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

We absolutely loved it here! The house is large and spread out; perfect for couples or an extended family. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. We will be back next year!

What a beautiful property in a quiet and peaceful setting. Everything was as described with the pleasant surprise of the large bedrooms size. It easily accommodated our group of three. After a day spent sightseeing, it was a restful retreat that allowed us to unwind and recharge for the next days adventures. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family.

Easy and close to downtown Santa Fe and yet not in the middle of everything.

The house is roomy but warmly decorated, and tucked away in a beautiful and quiet area overlooking fantastic scenery. The special touches are what made it for me and my sister, including a pantry stocked with oils and spices, lots of counter space, sharp knives and gas burners (if you cook, you know), and track lighting with dimmers and padded hangers in the bedrooms. Oh, and the Jacuzzi bath in the master! Score! The AC/heating was somewhat wonky, but management responded immediately and worked it out. Spent a restful, restorative week here, and skiied twice. Note that the drive to Ski Santa Fe is about 45 min from this location. If I come back to Santa Fe, I'll definitely stay in Tesuque, it is just lovely.

Villa is gorgeous and very well maintained and stocked. Really enjoyed our two week stay. Weather was hot the first week so we took advantage of the beautiful pool just a few yards away. AC worked great and kept us very comfortable. Parking right in front of unit was a real plus.
It is about a 10 minute drive down to the city and all the restaurants, but we found it very easy to Uber from the Lodge so we did not have to drive back up later at night and no need to worry about parking downtown. Really worked out well. Overall, a perfect place to stay that provides access to the city, yet is peaceful, quiet setting up the mountain a bit. Also, the property management company was terrific to work with. Easy check-in and they provided us with lots of information about Santa Fe. They also do a great job maintaining the property. Highly recommend this property.

Charming and nicely decorated. Parking spaces are narrow but sufficient. Bedrooms are spacious. Outside spaces accessible from the rooms are just ok. Living, kitchen/dining, and bedrooms are separated by two steps.
Overall a great unit that was close to our wedding venue at Bishop’s Lodge.

conveniently located between town and Tesuque village AND access to Bishop's Lodge, this is a great place for a short or extended stay in the Santa Fe area. the house is clean, well taken care of and kitchen has all you need to stay home and cook any meal.

Peaceful Getaway above Santa Fe
This property is very serene and tucked away high on the hills outside Santa Fe. The Plaza is less than 10 minutes away, and you're above the larger Bishop's Lodge resort. There are ~35 separate condos/villas in this area, but this one is right by the pool. If it wasn't for some construction and issues with A/C this would have been perfect.

Fabulous
We loved our stay here! Great views-beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean property. Each bedroom was wonderful. The kitchen was really well stocked with cooking items and even fridge/pantry items. They also provided small shampoo/conditioner/lotion and laundry detergent. Make sure to press # before entering the gate code. And the pool is only a few steps away. Our A/C did stop working towards the end of our stay, but the mornings and evenings are so cool, it was fine. Loved the Cowgirl BBQ restaurant and La Fogata’s horchata!

The home and the area around it were amazing! 3 very good size bedrooms and amply room for a larger family. Pretty much everything you could need for your stay (except a hairdryer). The property mgmt. company was very easy to work with as well! Can’t wait to come back.

A beautiful home with 3 very nice suites that could each be called a master. Great well stocked kitchen. A few minutes out of downtown Santa Fe but totally worth it because of the views from the patios. Next door to the remodeled Bishop’s Lodge with a great bar and restaurant. We would totally come back!

PROS: Stayed in late March. Very spacious property which allowed our family to have separate quiet spaces when needed. Hot water was crazy good which was nice because the weather was a bit unseasonably cold and snowy. While wood-burning fireplaces were available, we didn't use and are not sure of the rules on using.
The view out the front is really quite lovely, nearby hills then snow-capped mountain peaks beyond.
The beds and linens were nice and comfortable. Plenty of space to unpack clothes in bedrooms if wanted. the luggage racks and hamper were nice touches.
We did't cook but there is a nice gas stove. The microwave worked well. Lots of counter space and dish ware available.
Check in was easily and directions to property were easy to follow.
There is a washer an dryer (not sure these are listed in amenities but was great to have.) And there were a few pods left for us to use.
The main living spaces are tiled while the bedrooms are carpeted.
Overall it was really quiet inside which is wonderful. No noise through rooms and no real noise from outside.
We joked a lot that everything was 15 away, whether a great restaurant (like Dolina's) or grocery store, or museum, 15 minutes got you almost everywhere you may want to be.
(potential) CONS: The drip-coffee maker was slow and didn't seem to keep the coffee warm. So if you are a heavy coffee drinker, just note start it early. Uses cone filters.
On our third day, ants showed up in the kitchen. We didn't leave food out, or have open doors/windows but had put some food in trash. We wiped them away a few times. I'm not sure if it was weather related or not. Read another review that said same so something to note; maybe take food trash to dumpster every day.
There are about 10 steps outside leading up to the property entrance then three from the living room to the kitchen then three more to bedrooms and baths. If you have difficulty with steps this could be an issue.
We parked near the villa, if more than one car coming, parking may be a concern so ask owners/managers.

The property was great. A few maintenance and suggestions: the 3rd bedroom with patio door would not lock, all fans in bathrooms needed cleaned, the drain in queen bathroom tub drained slowly and the all bathrooms needed a grab bar for ADA compliance in the tubs.

What a beautiful stay!!! Amazing house!

The property is as advertised. Beautiful views. I was able to catch the full moon setting from the living room at 6am. On my morning walk I went down the horse path and encountered 2 deer. I would definitely stay here on a return trip to Santa Fe.
The host was responsive when I had trouble getting the access code to the gate to work. It was my fault as I forgot to punch the # key first.

Property fully met expectations. There was a problem with heating system which was addressed promptly. Location is quiet and nice views of area. Beds were comfortable, sufficient cooking utensils, sufficient towels. Short 10 minute drive into the center of town. No complaints and would definitely return.
My only comment of a negative sort would be having to return the key to management in town when checking out. It would be nice to be able to leave key in a lockbox on the property itself.

Two couples here for a week to see Santa Fe for first time. North side of town which was perfect location and access to day trips. Fabulous spot - clean, light, nicely equipped, comfortable beds, good bbq - everything was Really Nice. Had a glitch on our part getting to the place and their 24 hr emergency service was there to help us. Management was quite responsive throughout. I will say this trip was rescheduled 4 times (!) due to Covid and they could not have been nicer and more helpful in accommodating changes. Great spot to stay. Highly recommend.

Good communication with the property manager and check in/out was easy. Three 'master suites' and each had a private outdoor space. Lots of room to gather and the kitchen had everything we needed. Outdoor gas grill. Very quiet area with some expansive views and an easy 10 minute drive to downtown Santa Fe. Six adults had a great time.

There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Furnishings as pictured online. We were not disappointed.
