Beautiful home that is well maintained and recently upgraded with some features. Very quiet inside. Very quiet outside in the off season. Can’t wait to come back next off season.

Spacious clean house with great kitchen. Enjoyed the wonderful dock for morning coffee and afternoon reading by the bay. Quiet neighborhood for morning walks. Overall a great rental.

The house was great! There were a bunch of loose tiles in the hallway, some urine stains on the curtains, and there wasn’t enough toilet paper in the house.
Everything was perfect!
The WiFi information wasn’t provided. I reached out to the owners a few times for different things, only received a (delayed) response for one item.

Lovely house, very comfortable. We spent so much time on the dock enjoying March weather. Lots of room for a large group with terrific reading areas, comfortable places to relax inside and out. Would definitely stay here again

Nice quiet location, fishing was not good but dredging work was being done to the entrance of our Bay Area, thinking this probably messed up the fishing. There was also crab baskets in the water and we did catch one crab.
Need a sign on the refrigerator/freezer “NO FISH IN THE FRIG OR FREEZER” Take some baking soda with you.

When got there freezer smell like fish needs to have baking soda to keep it fresh thank you

As always- wonderful location and facility. We always enjoy our stay here. A lot quieter than Orange Beach, AL- where we work. Dauphin Island is more like Gulf Shores many many years ago. You might have to do without some conveniences you are used to in the bustling tourist town- but the laid back and quiet community more than makes up for it! Not to say there’s nothing to do here- you have the Sea Lab, Ft Gaines, nature walks, beaches and more! Good food like Lighthouse Bakery, Pirates Bar and Grill, Pirates Pizza- etc. Come explore for yourself!!

We LOVED this property! For us, we prefer fishing over beach so the location on the bay was absolutely perfect. It was well appointed with everything we needed and then some, including a dock, 2 boat slips and a KillerDocs fish cleaning station. One of the best things about the house is the layout. I sat and enjoyed my coffee and watched the bay every morning from the sun room while the boys went out fishing. If you are a group that has a family with smaller kids, the King Suite with the attached bunk room is perfect for them! For us, we had Teen Boys with us, so we “sacrificed” the king suite to them and it was the BEST decision, they could night fish and come and go through the in room doors to the backyard/dock or sit and play video games on the the TV and PlayStation they brought all night and us old folks NEVER heard them from the bedrooms on the other end of the house! I can definitely see us returning to this property for years to come!!

We stayed for one week, and literally only went to the beach once. It was so convenient for the boys to walk out the back door, onto the dock for fishing and crabbing adventures. Swimming and exploring at the little sandy beach took up hours each day. The house was very roomy, we loved that we could each escape to our own rooms if we needed privacy. The kitchen was great for preparing large meals, and the beds and furniture were so cozy.

This was such a sweet place. The sunsets were great, the atmosphere calm and peaceful, and plenty of room!!
We will most likely try to get this very one again!!

The location of this property couldn't have been better for our family's spring break vacation.
The property has lots of room, a fishing dock immediately behind the house and a small public beach area (perfect for the younger kids) on the lot next door.
Upon arrival, we were a bit dismayed by the lack of cleaning detail. Our communication with the host/owner was easy and well received. One of those situations where the cleaning contractor had not been closely monitored and had allowed things to slip. We would, however, definitely consider this property again on a future trip to the island.
One point to be aware of for anyone flying their own plane to the island: There is "NO" transportation available from the airport "4R9" to town, so be sure to figure out and make arrangements for some kind of transportation prior to arrival. We were extremely lucky in that a local "Airport Bum" happened to be out watching a landing plane and offered us transportation.
Along this same vein, the island is inhabited by some incredibly welcoming and gracious people. Literally everyone we met was incredible. Can't recommend Dauphin Island highly enough. "We Will Be Back"

My family, other family members and I stayed at this beautiful house! We greatly enjoyed our stay! My 8-year-old daughter uses a power wheelchair and was super excited about the house being single level and her being able to access the house! The master bathroom is big enough that she was able to fit her power wheelchair and that and having close access to the beach made our trip and stay memorable and amazing! We were a group of 10 and had plenty of space in the house. We also enjoyed having close access to the many amazing restaurants on the island! Our host, Stacey, made sure we had everything we needed and communicating with her was very easy!

I really recommend this house, the place was spacious for my family to get together something for everyone without being on top of each other. The place was clean and had everything needed for a great time. The deck was very relaxing as well as the room overlooking the bay in evening and early am. The owner was easy to contact also. Would definitely stay here again as well already have recommended to several friends.

Just as we remember it!
Even though we are local to coastal Alabama, it’s nice to be able to sneak off to this tranquil little island community to relax, fish, participate in local events- and more. We originally stayed here last year because of my wife’s knee surgery- I didn’t want a “beach house” with a bunch of steps she would have to constantly climb. Buy, what a jackpot we hit. Pass Drury is a great vacation house- big enough for the family to tag along, or friends- with a small private swimming beach area- you can bring your boat or fish right off the dock. *And I love the new fish cleaning table! It’s not far from the ferry, fort, and Sea Lab - and the Mexican Vanilla shake at the Billy Goat concession is the bomb!
Pass Drury is a nice, clean, roomy house that’s got a great location on Buchanan Bay with amenities that are sure to please. I wish I could say a “Not worth it/ stay away” - and save this little piece of quiet paradise to ourselves- but it’s a really nice home to stay at! We do plan on coming back soon!!

The house was perfect for our family. It was all one level which was great for my dad that has trouble walking. We had plenty of space, the kitchen was stickers, the views were wonderful. I would highly recommend this house and will book it again when I return. I grew up in dauphin island and love the location of the house.

Perfect location
We stayed at this house during the fishing rodeo. It was the perfect location because it was close to bait house and direct access to the gulf and bay. House was plenty big for 6 adults with room to spare. Kitchen was also well equipped.

Best Stay on the Island Yet!
Everything about this stay was amazing! The check-in and check-out was so easy, the home is beautiful and very well maintained, the beds are comfortable and linens were so soft and fresh. We have been coming to the Island for years and this has by far been our favorite place to stay. The dock is so nice sitting on the canal and the view is beautiful, there is even a little Sandy beach for the kiddos. This is going to be our go property for future stays.

Fun for all
Boating, fishing and too much kitchen activity that required an excess of eating. The family had an exceptionally great week.

Perfect family spot in Dauphin Island
The location is great! This is the second neighborhood rental we've used on Dauphin Island and the access to water and the pocket park with the beach are a big plus for families. Our two 10-year-olds spent their mornings at the small beach while the grown-ups enjoyed coffee from the nearby dock or sunroom.
The location is just blocks and an easy bike ride away from the bird sanctuary, Estuarium, Fort Gaines and other parks. It was close enough (about 2 miles) to ride to restaurants and beach access as well.
There's even a bike and kayak rental contact just around the corner on Conde.
The house offered plenty of living spaces to relax, play games, etc., and four bedrooms and two and a half baths. Check-in and door access were easy and had no issues.

Family Christmas
Having a wheelchair accessible property allowed us to have a family Christmas. The view is nice and the kids loved the park next door. My parents enjoyed the sunroom.

Nice home at end of beautiful cove
Trip was primarily business but enjoyed the evenings at this location.
Plenty of room. Nice location. Great restaraunts nearby. Good fishing. Looks like a new dock. Water does fluctuate by 2 or 3 feet depending on tides but still deep enough on low tide.
Home was great. Queens in every bedroom. A bunk room off the master was good for storage during my stay.
Spent most evenings fishing and grilling after a long day of work. Really quiet neighborhood. Slept like a rock.
Thanks for a great stay.

A gem of a find!
This was a jewel of a home and location. It was perfectly located on a quiet cove with a deck, easy walking around the neighborhood and to the beach. We loved the spaciousness of the house and old trees.
We will plan on returning and highly recommend it.

Delightful on Dolive Street
Lovely property, excellent location, and the island is such a laid back joy to experience. The house is very spacious with plenty of room for family and visitors- as well as “sunroom”, patio area, and large “deck/ pier”. The grandkids had fun catching trout, croakers, and pinkish- and we even caught a few redfish right off the dock. This is usually better achieved using live shrimp- although fresh dead shrimp can work also. *Be careful of wet algae on the sidewalk/ concrete bulkhead- it’s real slippery. We only brought kayaks for the kids to play with, but it can accommodate a boat- and with a bay boat, you can cross the channel and catch trout, redfish, and flounder with no problem. *Make sure you have a current Alabama saltwater fishing license- and follow current creel/ size limits. There’s also a very small public beach area next to the house you can use. The dining area of the house has a large table, then the bar nearby has 3 small “bench style” seats. It’s a clean and rather modern property. Nothing is very far away- including Ft Gaines, Dauphin Island Estuarium, Billy Goat Concession and Bait Shop. Ft Morgan and Tacky Jacks 2 is a 30 minute Mobile Bay ferry ride away- an experience in itself. Just to the west, back on DIP, is a couple connivence stores/ gas stations as well as the Ship/ Shore hardware/ tackle/ boat supply and modest grocery store. *If you want any “specialty items”- bring them with you. It’s bare necessities at these stores. However- on Sundays, there’s usually a couple “farmers market” type vendors with some fresh produce and preserves- you just have to see and taste.
If you have never been, a couple “must do” places are the Lighthouse Bakery- includes some delectable breakfast pastries, desserts, and breads- Captain Snappers serves some nice fresh seafood- and Island Rainbow has Pizza, snow cones and ice cream- and right next door the Real Deal BBQ has good BBQ, Seafood, hot dogs, and hamburgers- a couple of nice “dine in” places are Pirates Bar & Grill, and Islander.
To sum it up- for this time of year, this is a great laid back place to relax, fish, and/ or enjoy the family. We loved it!

Was supposed to check into this place at 4pm. Got a call from the property owner 15 minutes before I arrived saying that they had a trench in the front yard because they were tying in a sewage line. When I arrived I discovered they also were doing work inside the house. The owner then told me he should have all repairs done by Monday and continued to tell me I would still get some good days at the house. This property was advertised as a 4 bedroom 2 and a half bath. One of the bathrooms was completely unfinished sinks and toilet were laying on the ground. One of the bedrooms and an additional bedroom they were adding had no electricity, outlets had not been installed wiring was exposed and breaker boxes were exposed. Owner never offered a discount or refund and didn't seem to think it was a big deal. VRBO then put me up in a doggie motel in gulf shores were I spent the next 3 days trying to find somewhere else to go since they couldn't find anything for me. I finally found a place in Destin FL were I spent what was left of my vacation. I'm sure I will be on the phone for the next few weeks trying to get reimbursed for all of this. I wouldn't suggest this property to anyone the owner does not care about the people staying at this property they are just trying to get over on people. I have never had this bad of an experience anywhere I have stayed.

This house was absolutely amazing. Perfect for our family of 9, ages 2 to 78, and room for more. Lots of space, beautiful dock to sit and relax or fish from. You could truly stay at the house your whole vacation without leaving! Owners are fabulous! We I’ll be back!
