room ok, restaurant terrible

I chose this hotel because there was an on site restaurant.

I was the only person eating there. The menu was old, crumpled and dirty. When I tried to order something from the menu, they didnty have it. Then I was told they arte changing the menu , so using up the stock of what they have. So, if y9ou don't order what they have you don't eat. I ordered the salmon, new potatoes and garden vegetables. Then told they didnt have the new potatoes or veg, but I could have chips and a 'nice' salad. Cheap chips and very basic salad with no dressing. The brekfast was even more disapointing. Never again

We will not return

we arrived on a saturday at 1pm hungry after a long journey . Only to be told the chef was not here a breakfast was provided by reception (nice). Room was dated bathroom had problems. Holes in wall water ( soil waste) damge toilet seat was yellow underneath too old. Carpets were heavily stained and need replaceing. Bar closed at 9pm ! Staff were nice and polite and helpful.

Good price and good location, staff very friendly. Dated furniture and not very clean.

The staff member was really friendly and helpful.

The room was not very clean, really dated furniture, splashes of some liquid up the radiator in the bathroom, carpet was filthy, stool very stained, kettle was unusable as it has scale and black bits inside.

I wouldn’t stay there again

Its location. Heating worked as did the hot water. They got my wife an extra blanket when requested.

It was tired and old fashioned. No USB points in the room, the shower was hopeless, people coming outside their rooms to smoke and talk until 3am. It was grossly overpriced even though booked through Booking.com. Restaurant was closed but you could bring in a takeaway.

The rooms are very dated but ok and just wasn’t happy with the food

The food was terrible supposed to be Christmas dinner turkey was so tough it was all over cooked my husband had fish and chips and the fish was cheap frozen fish and was over cooked couldn’t hardly eat it was served with fries which were so hard couldn’t eat them honestly I couldn’t believe that they would serve up food of that quality

Daughter did not stay there.

Room 106was fine. For my wife and me.

Room 111 very poor. Families above very noisy. Are they using refugees?. Daughter would not stay there on her own nor in the replacement room above as she felt insecure.

It’s a old property but goodly maintained.. I like the atmosphere and it’s a quiet area.. Pub is look like an old one, but staffs and good. The main thing is it’s a quit property out from the city.. enough parking place.

Nice, Would stay again.

Clean and comfortable and near Longton, where we were working. Staff were helpful. We were pleased to find they offered a breakfast. This is not included in the list of features and should have been. Also found a nice restaurant locally for dinner.

Filty Rooms not safe for families. Hotel is also used for homeless by council.. groups of men chatting outside all hours of the morning Broken Glass all over the car park Stay away from this hotel/hostel

Disappointing

This hotel charges you and extra pound for your creditcard details, may there be any damages in the room. Never had this before when booked something on Booking Lady at the reception was rude Not worth the money

1980s revisited

Friendly staff

Tired and scruffy rooms and main building. Worn out carpets in bedroom. Mould on tiles around Bath. Shower very weak and cool. Tiny breakfast.

location people staying there were noisy, rough and it was used to house people. facilities very poor.

Like staying in a rough half way house

Nothing I paid to avoid ending in a homeless hostel and felt like I ended up in one

The door looked like it had been kicked in more than a few times the key card reader was dodgy so everytime I tried to enter the room it took about 10 minutes until it would work and I could feel next door getting more annoyed and making pig noises toward me each time the sound proof in my car works better whilst parked in lay bys and the rooms look like they haven't had a deep clean in years I'd of felt more comfortable and safe sleeping in my car

Truly the best in stoke .beat the overated 5 star hotels.

Love how your need is catered too. No issue is a problem. Never met such a beautiful kind receptionist before (mel) ... Also Love the idea of electric charging for your vehicle plus a bar which is open from 11am for food hot drinks and whatever else you want or need.

Just being picky but showers are not very strong. But it's sufficient for a shower.

Nice big rooms and good value for money

The room was a very good size, with a very comfy bed! It had all the basic amenities, including a hairdryer, plenty of storage, and mirrors for getting ready. The staff were very kind and helpful on check in and check out, and the bedroom area of the room was nice and clean.

There was some mould on the shower wall and around the bath trim, and the bathroom in general could have done with some maintenance - the counters were bowed and peeling from water damage, and the toilet roll holder was broken.

Location was nice

Room services weren't impressive. Room wasn't cleaned on daily basis, toiletries weren't provided until asked for. I would have expected the room was daily clean supply of tea cups, tea bags, toiletries were provided as standard on daily basis without being asked for everytime.
