Great apartment to have a s a base
The air con unit was very noisy in the bedroom - needed one similar to the living area - this was minor and the only issue of the whole stay

Excellent location in centre of city. Staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. Very old building that had kept many features it was a beautiful building. The room was spacious and had everything that you would need. We only stayed 1 night due to onward travel but we would have been happy to stay longer at this hotel. Comfortable bed, toiletries supplied were a good quality, coffee available. Excellent hotel would recommend.

Great location and friendly, helpful staff.
Room was not clean and needed updating, smoke from courtyard came directly into our room (with no air conditioning, so no options to avoid the smoke), shower was cold, utensils and glasses were clearly dirty.

Excellent location for exploring the city. Room and sitting room were lovely and large. Bathroom was clean and Shower was nice. Extra sofa bed was handy. Kitchenette was also cute.
Bathroom had an unpleasant smell (typical of old buildings in Europe). Bed and room could be updated. As we had a street facing room we couldn’t open blinds to change as pedestrians could see in.

basically everything was superior from the check in to check out. the staff went above and beyond. the room was the most comfortable of all. the shower was perfect as was the bed. the mini kitchen was well stocked. there was a tiny French press but we would have preferred a Nespresso instead.
there was smoking as we entered the corridor/hallway right before you open the door to our apartment. it was all 3 nights. we thought that was strange.

The hotel has an individual style and authentic period decor, which makes it distinctive and different in a good way. The location is excellent, and has the added benefit of the tram stops very close at hand.
Some might see it as old-fashioned in some respects, but that is more than compensated by its special character.

Location. Friendly, helpful staff.
Run down room. Peeling paint. Broken lamp with sparks coming from cord when moved. Room looked nicer in the pictures.

location, quiet rooms over inner garden

great location, pretty building
no lift (terrible for luggage), & no staff to help. An okd building limits what you can do to make rooms practical - eg rooms were spacious but the bathroom was a real squeeze, & some of the furniture & fittings are getting tired.

Very nice and caracteristic villa with independant appartments, perfect location, clean and comfortable. You feel straight away at home with the friendly welcome from the staff. Slept very well, quiet area and wonderfull bed. Nice to have a small kitchenet as we took some local things from the Marché des Capucins. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast from the hotel as well as we could prepare some wonderfull breakfast in the appartment with fresh bread from the bakery close by.

Clean and spacious.
Our room known as ‘Parlement’ on L1 was above a street bar and noisy, but expected in the central city. what was totally unacceptable was the noise from upstairs - we could hear EVERY movement from the person living upstairs from our room - this was totally unacceptable and we could not sleep - the room should not be made available until this is rectified. Our stay in this room was the worst of any hotel we have been in.

The central location stepped outside of door to the city centre and shops.Facilities in the room had everything you could need to be self sufficient. The area in the centre for sitting, etc very pleasant and secluded seating outside my room where I could eat, read, etc.Very good for solo travellers
The light from the centre area was a touch bright throughout the night through the curtains

The location is good. The bed was comfortable.
The photos are misleading. The room was poorly decorated and maintained with a tiny kitchen in a cupboard and an uncomfortable sitting area (high table and bar chairs). The shower enclosure was broken (the door did not close, so the floor flooded). The toilet door handle was coming off and the basin tap closed automatically before you finished washing your hands (reminiscent of a public toilet!). Noise could be heard from neighbours. Overall very disappointing.
