Below you will find details about our 2 bed/ 2 bath home, Pacific Paradise, located in Ocean Beach.
Our grand retreat in Ocean Beach provides the ultimate experience of relaxation, accessibility, and fun! Perfect for families and friends to come together in a spacious home with thoughtful amenities, and walking distance to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants and shops!
The reverse floor plan has an open flow and the space is light and airy with skylights and sun-soaked plantation shutter covered windows. All rooms have recessed lighting, ceiling fans, and Saltillo tile floors with area rugs. Cushy carpet is installed in the master suite and primary living area.
French doors open out to the furnished deck which extends out from the kitchen. Enjoy a fresh grilled meal on the balcony with ocean views!
The entertainment central part of the house in the living room includes a fireplace, TV/stereo, loveseat and queen size sofa/futon with a 10 inch memory foam mattress to accommodate additional guests.
The primary master suite is upstairs to the rear and has a walk-in closet, double vanity bathroom with step-in shower, and a queen size bed. A mirror on a large chest of drawers balances the room and provides storage in addition to the walk-in closet. Downstairs is the second bedroom that includes a closet with built-ins, tile bathroom, and shower. This room includes 2 full/double size memory foam beds and a dresser for additional storage.
The separate office and laundry room combo also located downstairs to the rear, gives you a place to browse the web in search of local events, and printer for airline tickets. On-site front facing washer and dryer is provided.
At the foot of the staircase are steps to the garage where the recycling container is stored. This is also a secure location for surf boards, bikes, golf bags, etc. The house sits back off of the street and there is parking for 2 vehicles in the front of the garage in the driveway. Street parking is available as well. Also around the house's exterior are places to hang wet towels and rinse off after spending time at the beach!
The white sandy beach is only 1/2 block away with Newport Avenue, (antique stores, restaurants, shops, boutiques, coffee houses, bars and more) just 2 blocks away. Within walking distance to the famous Ocean Beach Pier, Parks, Robb Field, amazing bike and walking trails, San Diego River Nature Preserve, Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, and so much more! Just minutes from Downtown San Diego, the airport and Mission and Pacific beaches.

What to expect after booking:
We manage properties on behalf of our owners. Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. This agreement reviews our terms and conditions, house rules and policies, and what to expect of your stay. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed, payment has been made, and the guest has connected with one of our guest services agents.
In addition to completing our electronic rental agreement, you will also be required to participate in our identity verification process. The Verify Hub service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Please note: for the credit card verification, a $2 hold will be placed on the card to run the report. This hold will never process and will fall off automatically within 7 days.
Property Appearance:
Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed)
Property Responsibilities:
If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. All of our homes offer similar amenities so you can expect the same experience whenever staying with us.
With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. Trash/Recycling, Check-out duties, Communication to management, Replacement of keys/fobs/remotes, and Care of the home all help us give each guest and family a home to feel at home in. We appreciate your assistance in making our homes and our business unlike any other!

Noise:
This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about your home!
Starter Kit:
We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a 'starter kit' to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store. Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and co2/fire detectors.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: 6 GUESTS.
Arrival/Departure Policy:
Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm)
Check out time is 11 am.
Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call!

6 night minimum AND Saturday check-in is REQUIRED during our holiday season (December 21-January 4). One reservation CANNOT take both holidays, unless it is a 2-week reservation. There are no arrivals OR departures on Christmas or New Year's Day.

Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy.
To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest's face and holding either a Driver's License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.
This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

Excellent Choice
We liked the property and location very much. Clean and comfortable coupled with a great location. Had to remind manager to send key code for entry. Also we found upon check in that while soaps and dishwashing liquid were supplied, there were absolutely no supplies in the kitchen except salt and pepper. Not a big problem just don’t expect a stocked pantry or coffee etc. Fortunately there’s a great coffee and breakfast joint around the corner on Abbot. Overall a very good rental and we would stay here again.

The house is in great shape and super clean with comfy beds, and two full bathrooms (one in each bedroom). This home was welcoming and roomy for our family of four. The kids had their own space and beds to sleep! Close to all, within walking distance and accessible to I-5 for tourist attractions. Clean home and deck was perfect for BBQing and beach watching. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was a perfect home! The second story balcony and patio is where we lounged all week! You can see and hear the beach from the patio and the neighborhood was surprising quiet. Being on the second story really makes a difference and gives you a greater feeling of privacy. Having a parking space is a must and you have ample space at this place. Everything is within walking distance and the plane traffic is less noticeable after the first night. The beds were so comfy and the tiled walk in showers were spacious and very clean. Even the closets were big! My fiance and I had a wonderful, relaxing week and will definitely come back to this spot. Thank you!

However with inquiries about early entry.. noon rather than 4 pm, repeatedly could go through to no one at Nancyproperties; was required to pay extra $60+ for noon entry though no one rented the day before; no mention of new access code until am of entry when we were on the road, no internet access or warning that door would be locked.. multiple Billings for $60 (after $1500 pt)...also multiple bills... vrbo and Nancy propertied....dunning messages during trips with grandson.. aggravating...finally Ashley took over to be polite and helpful... overall cheesy and greedy and unavailable management for an otherwise very nice property. Have rented often with vrbo, Airbnb...never hounded for $60 for expensive property for early entry when the place was empty the day before....cheap, gouging, I suspect the property owner could care less

This rental exceeded all of our expectations. Everything we needed was provided and then some. The location of the property couldn't have been better. Just a block or two from the sand, restaurants and stores. No vehicles needed. The large windows and terrace provides a perfect view of the sun setting on the water. I would definitely recommend this property.

Great location and house.
Ocean Beach CA is one of the most unique places and neighborhoods we have ever stayed. The house was perfect for our group and when we weren't downtown at the Trade Show we were close to our rental as everything we needed was within walking distance in OB. The guide book that homeowner provides was well done and gave us great recommendations on restaurants, bars, events and everything OB nearby. The Wednesday street market on Newport Avenue is a must and was one of the highlights of our trip. Our 4 mile walk each morning up to Sunset Cliffs and back is worth it as well, Lastly the National Park at Cabrillo National Monument is a must for a morning hike. Unbelievable views and vistas. Beautiful home. Perfect location.
Everything was lovely, even nicer than the photos, and spotless. It's a quiet, residential neighborhood. There was excellent communication and availability with the property management team. Ocean Beach is a great community. OB Surf Lodge restaurant is a few blocks away. They were very accommodating to spontaneous large groups- excellent food and service, on the beachfront. (Just a reminder that OB is on the flight/climb-out path for the airport. Bring earplugs; it starts at 6:30AM)

Unbeatable Location
Great house, amazing location! Rental company was extremely helpful and accommodating. We are already planning our next trip to the house. They have everything you need for the beach. Kitchen is well stocked. Highly recommend this rental.

Fantastic Experience
We had a wonderful experience at this property. The location is unbeatable and the home was comfortable. The property management team was welcoming, contacting us days before our visit to make sure that everything was on track for our arrival and was helpful/available throughout the stay. We love visiting Ocean Beach and will certainly be hoping to stay at this property again in the future.

Great location. Clean & nice.
We loved our stay there. We walked to see the sunset each evening. Nice kitchen, but also lots of good places to eat. The balcony gives a great view of the ocean. Accommodations were excellent. We used the washes/dryer. The kitchen island was a great place to congregate. The only problem we had was that the trash wasn't picked up. That was the City's fault, not management.

Wonderful Stay
Our family had a wonderful time in Ocean Beach and at Pacific Paradise! We had three generations in the house and were very pleased with it. I was very close to Newport Ave and to the Beach. The house was well maintained and we loved the use of the extra boogie boards and chairs provided. We absolutely loved the patio and view! Also the large open kitchen with big island was a bonus. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you for a lovely vacation home!

Loved this house!!
We're so happy we stayed at this house! The views are fantastic from the porch, the house was extremely clean, the master bed was so comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, you name it. We really enjoyed using the BBQ on the porch. This house has no air conditioning so it was stuffy at times but, with the patio doors and windows open, the beach air flowed really well through the house and that helped. The property management company was very accommodating and communicative, we appreciated that very much. Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely home, we really enjoyed our stay.

Loved it!
We only spent 5 days but had a wonderful time. The week before our trip I received information regarding our stay. Such as what would be provided for us - sheets, pillows, paper products, dishwasher detergent, etc. There was more than we needed for our stay. Parking is always an issue in Ocean Beach so it was wonderful to have a driveway that accommodated both our truck and car. Loved the keypad entry since this allowed all the adults to come and go as they pleased. One bedroom and bathroom were on the bottom floor which worked for the younger children who went to bed early. Balcony was wonderful for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Ocean views fantastic. We are planning on returning next year.
