About this house rental

'The Cottage' is a cute, well equipped mountain cottage. 5 minute drive from Lake Arrowhead Village. Everything you will need for a fun, relaxing getaway is there for you. Enjoy the mountain air, and weather. Maximum 4 people, no children under 5 (except 'babes in arms'. This is NOT a 'party house'. Two night minimum stay except for Thanks Giving, Christmas, and 4th of July. These Holidays require a three night minimum stay.

Everything from start to finish was just perfect. The cottage is so cozy and the location is so peaceful and relaxing. The yard could not have been more perfect for our dog, Franke! Gail has provided everything you need for your stay. We want to go back at least once every season!

Cozy little cottage was perfect for a quick getaway for our family of four plus our pup. Close enough to Arrowhead yet far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle there. Fenced yard, plenty of kitchen items and other amenities. Cute antique touches. Small space, but quaint. Walk to breakfast in town (Cedar Glen Inn). Owner very communicative and easy to work with.

The host was incredibly welcoming and the cabin was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking equipment. The yard was great for our dog to explore. Would stay again!

We found this gem last minute in looking for properties that accept dogs. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and comfort of this cottage. The bedrooms are upstairs, and the bathroom is downstairs, which is a little challenging if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but we made it work. The cottage was supplied with all the cooking utensils and other comforts of home. We enjoyed our 2-night getaway and would definitely consider renting this place again. Our host, Gail, was very communicative, helpful and answered all of my questions. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

We visited The Cottage in late March, just as a storm was brewing. We found it spotless and totally cozy for two and our dog. I also appreciated the subtle “cowboy” touches and updated furnishings. Downstairs is all living area and the only bathroom. Both bedrooms are up a somewhat narrow staircase. The kitchen has just about every utensil one could need, including knives that cut food! It’s well stocked with coffee pods, tea, and other condiments, and everything works great. We grilled one night, and BBQ made cleanup easy. There’s also stacked laundry and soap, and in the pantry are dog toys, bowls, games, lanterns, some skis, and I don’t know what else! Both bedrooms are upstairs. The main bedroom is really cozy, and bed is very comfy. There’s a great big ceiling fan that I’m sure comes in handy in summer. I loved racks are there to stow our luggage. There’s plentiful drawer space. The second bedroom is full of jungle/travel themed decor that would be great fun for kids. Our dog was particularly fond of the bed leopard! A favorite spot was the sunny side patio and yard during the day, and we really enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. The neighborhood is very nice for walks- each house is cuter than the next. The only thing that could use improvement might be an additional lamp for nighttime reading. Gail was great! She was able to share traffic updates on road construction, recommended dinner spots, and even went to the trouble of leaving a celebratory bottle of bubbly for us. All my questions were promptly and thoroughly answered. To sum up, we’re already planning a trip up before summer gets too busy. Rent it!

This cabin is awesome. My husband and I and our 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the appliances are updated and the backyard is perfect for the doggies. And we can't forget about our lovely hostess Gail. Very kind and eager to help. Highly recommend this gem.

Pefect Getaway!

Pefect Getaway!

The cottage was very clean when we arrived. Gail was extremely friendly and made sure both my wife and I were happy. She had informed us on weather & road conditions before we left and advised us on alternate routes. Though the power did go out our last night, we still had everything we needed to make us feel safe and at home. Our neighbor even took the time to stop by to make sure we were OK and gave us hot chocolate and fire wood. Her son stopped what he was doing to help me put on our snow chains! We absolutely loved our stay in Gail’s cabin. We had everything we could need on the property for a long weekend. The location is very close to Lake Arrowhead Village and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Gail was easy to communicate with, and we highly recommend her cabin!

My husband and I and or pups had a nice time. Gail is such a sweet lady so easy to communicate. She is open and honest. I meet the neighbor next door to the cottage. her name is Lisa and her pup, again very kind. . The cottage is super cute and cozy. Has a fenced yard for the pups to run and play and play and play. The cottage is close to the lake but you will have about a 3 min in drive to the town. Sky Park just about 3 min from the cottage as well. The cottage was very relaxing, heck i did not want to leave just sit there and relax. I cannot thank Gail enough for her hospitality, I loved working with her on my plans. For sure we will be back to stay in her home. Thank you for letting us stay in your home. See you again. The Drakes and pups

Small cabin in quiet neighborhood. We chose this property as it allows dogs. It is a wonderful small cabin with a fenced yard. Beds are comfortable. The cabin is walking distance to Cedar Glen and 10 minutes to Lake Arrowhead Village. Shower is small - a little tight for my husband.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time. The cottage is really cozy. We were there in July which was really hot, but I really want to stay here in the winter with the fireplace and all! Location is about a 3 min drive to the village and the owner was great to communicate with. We even met a neighbor who was really nice. Overall, I'd highly highly recommend this property. Just read the well written description, then come and enjoy.
