Todo fue muy cómodo y muy bueno desde la comida hasta el servicio

The bar tenders
Honestly almost nothing, for the price paid, I would get a better place in Puerto Vallarta. Plus there was a big cockroach on the top of the wall near the ceiling and when I reported they didn’t even apologize instead they almost accused me of bringing them with me and offered me fumigate all my stuff to get rid of the problem, for all the money spent here not worth it.

We have been going to Cocos about 8 to 10
Years. The best staff in Mexico. Most of them we know. The sea and storms in summer months has been hard on the beach.
The increase in cost since covid is understandable. And still good value as an all inclusive. The mix staying there is half local families with children. Half expats like us and tourists from Canada. A handful of Americans and europeans. It is the mix we love.

All staff, without exception, were wonderful - from housekeeping staff to the omelette cook. I liked that the property provided a quiet, adult only pool area. Our room was large and quite comfortable. The shower was hot. The sit down dinner in Canoa was excellent.
Not great value for money. Because of my Booking Level 3, I requested an upgrade but they did not appear to know what I was talking about. The price quoted on Booking.com was originally in Canadian dollars. This price was converted to USD and again to Mexican pesos. Each time we lost money due to poor bank rates. Had I known, I would have booked using Spanish and paid with a Mexican debit card.
Our winters are spent in Mexico and we only travel with pesos. When I asked at the front desk to give me change for a $500 Peso note for tips, I was told they could not do it and that they would only change Canadian or USD. However, when I paid for a birthday cake for my husband at the front desk in pesos, they managed to give me change in pesos contradicting what I was told earlier.
Room furnishings in Block 4 (adult only) were old. I would not use the Rústico dressers. The sofa was worn and covered to make somewhat presentable. The room, 4312, had resident pigeons nesting in the AC unit making a horrible mess daily and, therefore, the deck was unusable. The cleaning lady did a great job cleaning it every day but one could not sit on the balcony because of the daily bird droppings.
The food was adequate in the buffet. The drinks were typical watered down all-inclusive unknown brand. The wine was barely drinkable.

Authentic and on the beach
Beds were not so comfortable

The staff was excellent. They worked tirelessly. The dining staff were literally running at times. New staff was being trained.
To begin with, no one from the hotel ever responded to any of the messages I sent through Booking.com. Especially after the hurricane/tropical storm just a few weeks before arrival.
It was next to impossible to find front desk staff that spoke English well enough to help us with simple questions (eg. Can we still use facilities after check out/while waiting for airport transfer). After shift change in the late afternoon, English speakers were gone.
The hotel is "tired". Beds are new and great; furniture not as much. Doors don't close well, etc. Towels are fraying. The elevator is building 1 was scary. Would the doors open again?
* We did see painters doing touch ups on the building exterior.
Food was mediocre. Seldom hot; usually warm/cool. We settled on omelets and fruit/yogurt/salads as most reliable food choices.
It appears as if there is not enough money being put into maintaining the infrastructure.
We understand how Covid has affected everyone. The hotel is obviously hiring new staff. And, as mentioned earlier, the staff is giving 150% . But based on our visit this past week, I do not think we would come back to Los Cocos.

Nothing
They didn't have spa open. They advertised 3 restaurants they only opened 1 the buffet one but they didn't have a good variety of food. They charged us more than it was supposed.

We loved the buffet. Fruit was excellent. Never disappointed with anything.
The room could use an update.

The entire staff was very nice.
Once we learned what not to eat (Chinese) or drink (wine) the rest was acceptable.
Guayabitos has the best beach for walking that I've seen in Mexico.
I was looking for a quiet place with internet near the water, but I didn't find that. Music was loud everywhere most of the time. Sometimes with competing speakers. Even way out in the ocean the music was pumping.
The internet rarely worked, even in public spaces. I used all my data in four days.
We would see a ten minute dance routine in the evening. I didn't see any other entertainment.
The place is too spread out.

The breakfast and lunch were good. The service was great! And the waiters were excellent! The beach front restaurant was amazing, super sunny 24/7 but fully shaded to eat and enjoy.
No bad reviews. Enjoyed everything and don't have any complaints.

Drinks are extremely watered down. Some of them taste nasty. No seafood on the menu. We are in nayarit. A sea food menu state.

This time around honestly the food not that good. But we mas the best of it eating basically the same thing for 4 days
The food wasn’t that good this time around. Lunch or dinner. Especially if you have children the don’t eat seafood... Seafood for 4 days for dinner not good and didn’t have anything eles to give the kids but Hot Dogs and burger not a good menu when you in vacation

People and staff were very helpful.
Not a huge deal but not a single English speaking channel on our TV
2.1
Closed enough to the beach and only 5 minutes walk to our friends who lives there during winter seasons and one reason why we decided to pick the resort.
The staff at the reception doesn’t know or understand a bit of English they always have to find someone who does and they are rude. We particular asked two months in advanced to have a room with king size bed and a room that is not too high upstairs due to my boyfriend being 6’2 ft tall and have some screws implants due to surgery a few years ago but they still put us on the fourth floor with two double size bed. The bed was hard a wood and it felt like there’s no cushion on it and my bf feet was hanging out it was too short for him, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned pubic hair everywhere and it smells disgusting. We decided to go back to the reception and asked again to be move to a better room that we asked for in a first place and of course we have to wait for 30 minutes for someone who knows how to speak English, we’ve been told that there will be a room with king size bed but not till next day so we decided to just stay in the room we got and waited till next day. They moved us to the better room next day with king size bed and on the ground floor but the bed and pillows are super firm my goodness., we woke up every day like someone beat us up with baseball bat.
We got mix up with our booking and shorted a day, so I got called in the reception to sort things out, although we admit that it is our mistake but I don’t think that it is fair that we should be over charged for one more night of stay, they charge us $296 just for one night, the room, service and food wasn’t worth that, we will never again stay at this resort ever again.
