Could have been better!

The villa and it's location was stunning. The pool man went out of his way to try and appease the disappointment after having being told that we could not use the pool for 3 out of 7 days.

Unable to use the pool for 3 out of 7 days and the customer service from the management company was rude, and did not offer any form of recompense when, one of the main reasons for choosing the property was to be able to go swimming each day. Why no pool cover is used to protect the pool which would have prevented the damage to the pump, still begs the question! Inside the property, you can smell the drains, the toilets do not flush properly due to poor design and had to fiddle with the flush mechanism to get it to work 3 or 4 times. If you are accommodating international visitors, most would welcome making a coffee with a family sized cafetiere or filter machine rather than expensive pod type coffee maker.

Madera jest cudowną wyspą.

Obiekt bardzo ładnie położony na klifie. Dom ładny, duży taras, czysty basen, wszystkie pokoje z widokiem na ocean. Gospodarz (osoba przekazująca klucze) bardzo uprzyjmy pan, zawsze odpowiadał na pytania i udzielał wskazówek podczas naszego pobytu w sprawie zwiedzania Madery.

Wyposażenie domu trochę skromne, brak szafki czy wieszaków w łazience, żeby móc powiesić ręcznik czy szlafrok. Mrówki w kuchni.

Amazing view, modern house, and the communication with the staff is totally easy and well organised.

The view is fabulous! Both from the terrace as well from any room! A well-equipped modern house, beautiful showers, modern kitchen, and many useful products are already there (shampoo, dishwasher tabs, oil, vinegar, coffee cups, sugar, spices, towels, ) The house is really spacious with lots of storage places.

It is just a note, not a negative point: The swimming pool was beautiful, very clean, and with an amazing view, really great. (Just note that the pool is not heated and mid-April the temperature of the pool water is around 19-20C, same as the ocean temperature. The use of the pool is therefore very limited in April.)

Exceptional

Excellent apartment! Excellent location and view! The host was always helpful and available through WhatsApp, and the overall communication was esay. We also had no problems recieving the keys. The house is also well equiped and has everything one might need, it is also well adapted for cooking and even barbequing. It is also the perfect location for relaxation in the pool or on the lounge chairs! You might just spend all of your time in Madeira here!

A small inconvenience was that the WiFi could only be accessed in the living room.

Cleanliness should be much more important

The view was fantastic. The house was spacious and fully equipped. The host was kind and helpful.

The house was dirty, we needed to clean it to be able to live there. The car entrance was so steep that our car hit the bottom edge of the entrance, so the car had to be replaced with a higher construction. It was very annoying. We were lucky to have full insurance, so nothing worse than annoyance and loss of time happened because of this. Usually, the host announced when someone came to do something in the house, but once someone stepped over the fence without being noticed.

Villa was excellent. Best welcome pack ever received. Great to be given all towels needed, cleaning products etc. Only 10 mins to village and 20 mins to Funchal. Definitely need a car. Quiet location, amazing views and not over looked Would definitely recommend the villa and would happily return.

Very minor observation , the villa could do with more crockery and mugs.

Exceptional

We had an amazing stay at Villa Amplitude and I would 100% recommend it to anybody looking for place to stay during their Madeira vacation. The house is located high up above Camara de Lobos which is a nice small town with a harbor dedicated to fishing and a couple of good restaurants in the area. From Camara de Lobos it is very easy to reach all destinations on the island by car in 15-60 minute drives. The drive up to the house is a bit of an adventure but if you are a competent driver you'll get used to it quickly. The drive is also absolutely worth it since the view is even more breath taking than the pictures suggest. The deck is extremely spacious and the pool is large enough to properly swim in. Especially since Madeira doesn't offer many sand beaches we were glad that we decided renting a place with a pool like that. The modern interior of the house is very tasteful and more on the minimalistic side which we appreciated. The beds are comfortable and the wifi worked reliably, even when streaming shows on Netflix in the evenings. We'll be booking the house again the next time we are visiting Madeira.

Perfect property, perfect location, stunning view, would definitely recommend!!!

The location is absolutely stunning. The villa has perfect design, is very spacious, literally really huge. The villa hanging on a 150m high cliff, the view to the ocean and Camara de Lobos town is absolutely breathtaking. Lots of space in both indoor and outdoor part of the property. The villa has a private infinity pool to relax when enjoying the view. The area itself is quite hilly, as usual on Madeira, so prepare for quite challenging driving or climbing steep hills when going from the beach uphill to the villa. The host is very welcoming and helpful. He gave us a lots of tips and advices for local activities and attractions. There is a welcome pack on arrival with food and local products, wines, fruits and sweets, which is very nice when you come tired and hungry after a long travel. There is a cable car down to the ocean just in walking distance and Cabo Girao reachable with medium hike or short drive.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The only issue was with air conditioning. Only 2 out of 4 AC units were working during our stay. We were told so in the beginning of our stay by our host but the repair was not done although promised (with apologies - we were the first guest in this villa after a very long time due to corona situation). We stayed for 1 week and this was a little annoying during for the a couple of first nights. There was an exceptionally hot weather without a single cloud for the whole week of our stay. The second half of the week was OK, as the normal Madeira weather is not as hot even during summer. So we think not working AC might usually not be a big issue.

This was our first time in Madeira, and the villa and island exceeded our expectations. We loved it!

The view was magnificent, the pool was fabulous (although may need heating in the cooler months) the villa was top quality with large light and very well equipped rooms, the bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were superb, the bbq area was great, the outdoor decking area with table and concrete stools were a great area to eat and drink while admiring the view. The host (Tiago) was exceptional and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was as comfortable and informed as possible. We loved the villa and Madeira and will be back! Thanks Tiago!

Nothing that springs to mind. If driving, ensure you have GPS as the villa could be hard to find.
