The location is not the best. Next time I would prefer to stay in the modern part of the city.

The staff here are so lovely, when we got lost because we didn't have internet they came to find us and helped us check in seamlessly. The room in lovely but the space upstairs was my favourite, it was so nice looking out over the water and the ambience in the room upstairs is lovely. Breakfast is yummy too.
There is a smell that comes from the drains I think but we shut the bathroom door and it was ok.

The property is on the edge of the old medina overlooking the port area.
It is spotless and unique. The bed comfy and room quiet. I cannot believe how clean the room was. Breafast is traditional morocan breakfast everything fresh. The host Ahmed was so helpful, for a solo traveller he was wonderful. Thank you
There are some stairs but easily accessed.

Lovely host who took great care of us. Atmospheric hotel with lovely terrace overlooking Tangier port.
Lack of air conditioning made the nights a little uncomfortable. Hotel is on the edge of the medina, so quite a climb to get there with luggage.

Our family of four was traveling with the grandparents for total of six of us. The best room was given to the grandparents, on the side facing the bay, it had air-conditioning and was very bright. The other room upstairs had a large bed, and a comfortable futon. That slept three. It had air-conditioning, but no personal veranda. It was comfortable. The final room on the lowest level had no air conditioning, no balcony, and the only way to get fresh air was to open the window to the street which was noisy all night. I slept in that room and needed air plugs. I think it would be easy for them to put air-conditioning in that room and then it would be fine.
The view is quite nice and it is not as busy as the other we were considering, the continental hotel.
Others have mentioned that the breakfast at €10 each is a little expensive for what you get. On the other hand, nothing is open before 9 o'clock, or even 10 o'clock locally, and the attention is quite nice, and the view up on the veranda is nice, so we thought it was a good option overall.

Great, AMAZING view. Very clean. They sent our laundry to get cleaned. They called a car service to take us to the train station which was a big blessing.
Nothing. Everything was great.

There was a lot of dust and the room is very small. It was not value for money.

A bit noisy during the night

Great location, great facilities, great for adventurous people, excellent services, manager (Mr. Abdel) very friendly and helpful.
The location is fantastic but uphill (need to get there by foot). So, be prepared for some health exercising.

The hotel is clean and modern, with a great view of the sea. It is on the northern edge of the medina, and so is close to the main tourist attractions, as well as a 25 min walk from the city beach. There is a nice balcony to relax and have a beer / coffee on and watch the sea. The staff are helpful (though not available 24 hours).
The hotel is a little hard to find, amongst the maze-like alleyways of the medina. This is in a sense charming, but unfortunately there are many people on your way who will try to ‘help’ you with directions, whether you like it or not, and seek a tip or beg for money. My wife also unfortunately suffered racial remarks from one of these people.
Any extra services at the hotel are pricey, and watch out for hidden extras. The breakfast is €10, which is pricey for the area, and they added a €2 charge to our bill for printing two boarding passes without telling us at the time, which won’t break the bank but left a bitter taste in the mouth.
They add a premium for calling you a local taxi, which in our case arrived about 15 mins late when we needed to get to the airport - better off hailing one from the main road for a more reliable and cost effective journey.

Le Balcon de Tanger has a great location. It is situated by the edge of the walled medina which was convenient for getting in and out. We had quick access to the main road where we could take transportation to the different sights of the city. The hotel room was very comfortable and clean. The building has a common living room with a fire place that Abdel, the host, put on for us in the evenings. He was very welcoming and made our stay in Tangier very special. The living room has a terrace that faces the coast of the city from where we could see the coast of Spain!

Excellent location at the edge of medina and close to the port, walking distance to the fortress and most places of attraction. The lobby and floor landings throught hotel are well equipped and decorated, excellent views from the room, awesome terrace where breakfasts are served; checkin and checkout were fast enough, the staff (younger guy) was helpful and cheerful.
Pretty humid in the room which can be expected right by the sea though, and is fixed eventually by the AC.

The location is great and Adbel is so amazing. He was very helpful and super friendly. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. We had a lovely time.

Good location, very close to Medina and right in front of the sea, with a great view. Staff was really helpful and responsive.
The furniture in the rooms is quite old and some furniture was rusty as well. The room also had a rust smell because of old furniture.

Everything!
The best stay in my life.
The hotel is amazing, the view, the rooms, the furniture.
Very clean and elegant.
The most important thing was the staff, they gave me the best travel experience ever.

Amazing staff who are very friendly to introduce you the scenary and tour buses. The view from the terrance is wonderful to see sunrise.

Beautiful location, in the middle of the medina. The house is very nice, with big rooms. The rooftop terrace has great views. The staff was friendly.
It is very pricey for what it is. There were stains on the bed linen. There was a weird humid smell all around the building. We paid very expensive for the taxi they arranged and for the tourist tax.

The location was on the edger of the Medina so very close to the ferry port. Breakfast was fruit salad, breads, eggs, juice and coffee. I think it would be good to ask the guests what they would like for breakfast or simply provide a menu.
Although the accommodation was a hotel in many ways it gave you the feeling of a large private apartment. There was a kitchen are adjacent the the sun terrace which was stocked with water, food, coffee machines, wine and beer. It was not immediately obvious that this was a private area (there was no door for example) and so when we bought our own snacks and drinks we were not that this was not allowed and that we were meant to ask the staff for anything that we wanted, which subsequently we did.
4.5
The view cannot be described, hospitality of the staff was outstanding.
it is difficult the first time to find them when you are coming from inside the Mdina - gps will not work. but once you know that you can easily access the property from the Corniche - no problem!

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Very helpful
The room and bathroom were a bit small.

Such a beautiful hotel on the edge of the medina, right near all the attractions but also easy to get to from the ferry and it has a spectacular unobstructed view of the water. My room was big and comfortable. Most importantly, Abdel was extremely nice and accommodating, helping me out when an ATM ate my card and I was freaking out (he helped me get it back!) Would highly recommend!

Beautiful place - the decor is immaculate and you can sense that the owner has great artistic taste. The location is also pretty strategic and has beautiful views of the sea. It is located on top of the medina so be ready to walk up the stairs with your luggage, but it's actually not too bad! And they have aircon - which is a must during Moroccan summers. The staff's English wasn't the best but we understood each other and could still communicate fine
Breakfast was not included and was a bit pricey. The room also had a faint smell, I think it was from the bathroom or piping but it didn't bother me as long as I kept the door closed.

Amazing host, Abdel was very thoughtful and provided good recommendations. The hotel was nicely decorated and the common areas are very comfortable. The hotel is well located, in a quiet street but only minutes away from the activities.
The sea view from the window is actually on the industrial harbor and there is noise from the cars express way.
