Nice big suite - loved the big balcony, big windows ! - room service daily - fridge, hot water kettle and coffee maker(bring your own coffee ) fabulous views from the balcony - filtered water for drinking - helpful staff with some good local suggestions - about a 10-15 min walk to town
Cold shower (which they are very clear about and it is true ) the many stairs to the beach are steep with no rails but the owner said they are fixing that - we could only see the ocean from the balcony - the room is situated so that you see the palm trees etc from the bed but not the water - the bathroom had a chronic smell but with incense and some cleaning fluid it was ok -

The bed was great, amazing views, very peaceful, & convenient community kitchen. I’m a walker, so while it is close to the town, you go down to beaches&town & back up to the Hotel. Many people rent scooters or taxis but I wasn’t in a hurry to go anywhere😊
Mid-June is very, very warm, but Arigalan has AC! Or just use the fan. And the pool is sweet, also has a great view of the ocean below.

Room was comfortable and clean.

The location was perfect! Beautiful view of the ocean and right next door to the yoga school I was attending. The A/C was amazing in that heat and the huge bed was very comfortable. It was also very nice not to have to navigate mosquito netting to get in and out of bed.
There was quite a bit of construction going on and there were lots of men working everywhere that took away from the peacefulness of this visit.

Great views
Would not go here without a car as it is on top of a hill. The rooms are very dated and filled with insects and mini lizards

My room had an ant infestation and I found a scorpion in my room on my last morning. Whilst I know it's Mazunte and surrounded by nature, it could have been handled better.

I liked the views and the staff.
When booking my room I expected a private balcony but we got the worst room in the whole hotel. We did not have a balcony but we were told to share the neighbors balcony, but if you sat on their balcony you were right beneath their windows which felt very uncomfortable. Every other room in that hotel had a balcony, except ours. Our room was very very tiny with the toilet and shower behind the bed with no doors. There was one tiny table and two chairs. One chair could fit a 4 year old child and the other maybe a 6-8 year old child! The views were spectacular but you could not sit outside (no balcony) and the areas outside had no shade whatsoever. There were small balcony sections that didn’t even have railings up so that was dangerous. If booking this property, be aware of the hike uphill to get back to the hotel and the roads are in very bad condition so be careful when walking.

The pool and view were lovely. The people working there were really friendly
There were ants coming out of the sink. Water was always cold and the kitchen was filthy

The view is spectacular ✨️
The staff is constipated and entitled.
I used booking.com and when we got there, we realized quickly that there had been some false representation as far as the definition of "deluxe double room". Let's just say the room did not match the pictures used to sell us this hotel 🤔
The staff was quite unconcerned with this, i believe: "sort it out with booking.com" was their response. And, in the same breath, they preceeded to tell us that this was a cash only operation and that we had to pay our 6 nights ASAP (which is a tad ridiculous because the Mazunte ATMs are notoriously empty most of the time).
Later that evening, as we were relaxing on our little terrasse area, one of the property managers came up to us and:
1) Pointed towards a sign above our door [Silencio] 🙄 and asked us to be quiet
2) Exciled us to the darkened parking lot area to smoke a joint (in Mazunte... lol)
That's when we decided to cut out trip to 2 nights instead of 6.

beautiful seaside view, hamaka, on a nice place in freeminded village of Mazunte, close to center, close to turtoise shelter, close to beach. complimentary drinkable water and common kitchen. available dark rooms for meditation stays
we picked the cheapest room with bathroom connected with bedroom, which is not a good choice for young couples especially when we sufferred with serious stomachache. the room doesnt have AC and it has nets instead of windows. small bed for two. I would recommend to pick a better room from their offer

Absolutely stunning place - photos don't do it justice! Private path down to a beautiful beach. Cute kitchen for use. Pool was perfect for a dip in the hot afternoons. Also so great to have an airconditioned room. Nice distance away from the town so that it felt private but also close to food etc. Saw a few huge iguanas and lots of great birds from here too.
Paradise from top to bottom.
Tip for mazunte - get money out before you get there. Cash machines don't always have money in them and have a massive charge
Also grab some food beforehand too - prices in mazunte even at markets are huugeee markup.
Honestly nothing.

We had a large room with it's own bathroom, aircon and a fridge. We had a great view down to the beach of San Agustinillo, which was a short walk from the hotel. Generally, we enjoyed our stay and found the room comfortable.
Quite a few times there was an issue with the water meaning we were unable to flush our toilet, which was frustrating.
3.5
The end of town is very peaceful. The atmosphere is also calm and quiet due to yoga school next door. Kitchen well equipped. Super lovely staff. Clean pool. Private beach (almost) is beautiful and has swim spots.
Theres no wall around the toilet! Not a place for new couples or shy people to use the bathroom! Fan was very loud. Steep climb to beach.
4.5
The location and the views are exceptional and waking up to the sunrise is an absolute privilege. Just a few minutes from the beach, even if you have to go up and down some stairs, it is excellent for exercise. The place is very quiet and private.
I had a nice welcome and a very good service but the staff who maintain the place would gain to be a little more courteous. The common kitchen and some of the cooking equipment could use some updating. Even with these exceptional views, in general, I find this hotel to be too expensive for what it offers.

it had very nice and relaxing vibes . the beach is very close and it was very well situated ! very easy to walk to town
it was a little outdated and run down . Hippie Style
to reach the beach you have to climb 120 steps up or down. The communal kitchen could be cleaner , better organised! they do not take credit card . Bring lots of cash !

fabulous vista looking down from high on the hill to the lengthy San Agustinillo beach. Also liked having a shared kitchen and potable water.
1. The property says they have a swimming pool, but it is only tub, it is too small for a swim stroke.
2. It is close to the beach, but it’s 153 steps on a very steep staircase.
3. No hot water.
4. Shared kitchen could use a microwave

Beautiful location. Lots of options for different budgets on rooms sizes. Nice communal kitchen. Staff were lovely and helpful.

The view, the patios around the property, especially outside our room.
The communal kitchen was a mess. No one seemed to do their own dishes, and they were just left in the sink.

Pool, many shady, comfortable lounging spots, spectacular views, quiet.
Kitchen not clean. Not the fault of the property but of those staying there.

good view
very rundown. ceiling looked like it might come down on us! never managed to get WiFi. plunge pool not cleaned first day there. refilled on second.

the quality of the wi-fi network was very unstable

Florian and Azucena were incredibly kind and helpful. They did everything they could to make my stay the most pleasant possible. It was also nice to have access to a little swimming pool as well as a communal kitchen. And the view from my patio was absolutely spectacular!

beutiful view and a great location! comfy rooms.

Great location. 5 minute walking distance from both Mazunte and San Agustinillo. Room was clean, aircon worked fine. Nice pool to cool down. Very friendly host.
There wasn't a door between the bathroom and the bedroom, which was a bit weird.
