Tia and Mike were easy to reach when we had questions. There are 4 bedrooms (1. queen, 2. queen with a futon, 3. single over double bunk, 4. queen bed with 2 couches in the basement) and 2 extra cots, and 4 full bathrooms, which was so nice for our extended family of 11. There were extra linens - sheets, blankets and towels. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed: dishes, glasses, pots, pans, utensils, even full ice cube trays. We really enjoyed the kayaks and the paddleboat. There's plenty of seating inside and out. It was a fun time for our whole family!

We were very happy with our stay. The house was clean and had plenty of space for our family. The kitchen was stocked with everything you may need and the deck outside overlooking the lake was the best part of the stay. We were out there with our morning coffee, evening dinners and visiting with family at night. It was very peaceful and quiet in the neighborhood. Although we didnt have time to use any of them, there were kayaks, pedal boat, and a fire pit available for us to use. We will have to visit again and spend more time on the lake! Thank you for the great family memories.

The house was perfect for our needs, well stocked kitchen, updated bathrooms, lots of outdoor amenities, access to boat rental, etc etc.

Check in was very easy, the communication with Tia was top notch, the kitchen was well stocked with gadgets and cookware. Beautifully tree lined road for morning walks and deck with plenty of seating for sunsets. Great layout, plenty of games and movies and a huge tv for watching Sunday football! We will revisit if in the area.

Excellent communication with Tia. My family and I enjoyed staying on the lake, and there was plenty of room for our guests to visit. Quiet neighborhood and close to coffee shops, groceries and restaurants.

It served our purpose well! We needed a place to stay close by the night before and the morning after my daughter’s wedding. It was a perfect retreat from the stress. Very relaxing.
My only suggestion for renters is be aware and find out your TOTAL cost before you lock in because there is no refund once you pay the full cost at booking.

Thanks for letting my family stay at your wonderful place. We celebrated my wife’s birthday and this spot worked out beautifully! Highly recommend.

This house was perfect for my sister's and our daughters. There were just a few problems, but did not damper our time spent at the house. The worst problem was not having a lighter in the house for the firepit or grill. We just had one of our daughters bring one.
The house was large enough and had sleeping space for all of us. Text messages to the property owner were answered in a timely manner when we were on property.
Good option for larger gatherings.

The online listing looked great, but this was a very disappointing property. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The laundry machine had a warning about poor water quality and potential damage to clothes, so we couldn’t even use the laundry. The coffee pot was terrible and made a sludge. The patio was filthy and we had to clean all chairs before sitting on them. The kayaks had water in them, were dirty, and essentially useless for our trip. There was a sign on the neighbor’s property that they were watching the house. The house had almost none of the basics that we come to expect with VRBO properties, such as basic cooking materials, tin foil, paper towels, travel shampoos, etc. The owner needs to do some serious investment in this property in the little things.

Lakeside cabin
Very spacious and clean. Wonderful place for a quick getaway. Close to many restaurants and grocers. Parking is spacious but road leading to property is narrow, unlit and somewhat bumpy. Very accommodating and communicative host. Thank you for having us Tia

For the prices, I would expect the house to be better stocked… simple things that really add up
Had to stock house with soap dish soap kitchen essentials paper towels toilet paper soap… the house is very expensive already. Wish it had been properly stocked.. also air conditioning was very uneven. HOT upstairs… quite uncomfortable for sleeping

Just what we needed
The house was just what we needed for my sisters and my families to stay together while we were in town. We appreciated having lots of seating and also the small details that made it an easy stay—especially fans in the bedrooms. Owners were great! Communication was excellent. Would stay here again!!

Great Thanksgiving Getaway
The house was great for our group of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids under 12). There was plenty of room to spread out but still be together for the holidays. The property was clean and the hosts were very attentive. Also, it is tucked away in a nice quiet neighborhood but very close to everything! We were able to got to the mall, iFly in Novi, and the Henry Ford Museum.

Perfect Home For a Group Gathering
This is our second stay at this lovely home. Several family members and friends were gathering and having 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was just fabulous!!! The kitchen , dining, living areas are all open with sliders to the large deck. It is a bright and comfortable space. The fire pit area is large and accommodates several people. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. We will definitely return on our next trip to the area if available. Thumbs up!!

Great family getaway!
We had a wonderful time staying at Mike and Tia’s property. The accommodations were exactly as described and we would highly recommend renting the pontoon boat as it makes the lake experience even better! We ended up having a storm and power outage and they were immediately available to provide various solutions so it did not impact our trip too much. We look forward to staying at one of Mike and Tia’s properties in the future!

Beautiful Home Away from Home
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful lake house! The pictures do not do the property justice! It is clean, well maintained, and fully stocked for cooking and cleaning. Tia and Mike could not have been nicer and I highly suggest renting from them! This house made our trip so perfect!

Lovely Home!!
I needed a home for a very sad occasion, however, this was such a comforting place to stay and my family (even the furry ones) felt welcome and extremely comfortable. The open layout was great for a group of folks with lots of stools and large dining table. The kitchen had many amenities, the beds comfortable and the living area was open and inviting. We were able to enjoy the fire pit around raindrops. It was great to have 4 bedrooms and an unheard of 4 bathrooms!! Thank you Mike and Tia for having us and for being so easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

Debbie's Wedding family Time
My first impression of this property was Lovely and Peaceful!
the kitchen is very large and the table is big enough for all 12 of us. There were enough glasses, cups, dishes, and silverware and pots and pans. The living room also was large with comfy love seats, sofa and chairs. This room was big enough to play games, we brought board games and card games there is also a large supply at the property. We had great fun! We had coffee and breakfast outside on the deck. The view outside the deck in the back - BEAUTIFUL!! A lovely lake with geese, ducks, and a swan. We had a campfire out in the fire-pit and we had yummy s'mores!
The bedrooms were all nicely decorated and the linens and towels were very clean. There were even extra sheets and towels if needed. This house was so well stocked. We had a wonderful time reconnecting with our family. The owners are very helpful answering questions.
I highly recommend this house. it was wonderful!!!

House hunting
While we looked for a residence in michigan we felt this would be a great place to entertain the kids for all the trouble and stress. The fished every day , we had a bon fire smores, paddle boating and kayaking. Kids didnt want to leave. View was amazing and i had everything i needed for home cooking. We slept great and tia and mike are great hosts. We had it all. Neighborhood was so friendly. We were here 8 days and it was a dream vacation. Cannot complain about anything. We even left things for the next guest to enjoy!

Had a great stay and many relaxing moments on back deck. Communication with host was great, very flexible on pet policy (we had a dog).Pros:- Lake access right off property, easy 5 min paddle to sand bar (2 kayaks and 1 paddle boat available with rental).- Tree coverage provided nice shade while sitting on back deck. Sun bathers could access direct sunlight on back half of property near water/sand.- Dock was great to fish off, caught many blue gills and bass.- Gas grill looked relatively new, half had propane, half for charcoal. - Many life jackets available for various ages- Ample parking for visiting guests - Pontoon boat available to rent with house and parked at dock...saw no reference to this in listing, $350/day (I think). Cons:- Four of five indoor dining chairs were close to breaking; sixth was in trash from prior renters. Overall, furniture pretty worn. - master bed comforter had a lot of pet hair upon arrival. Was able to swap out easily. Downside of pet friendly rental but worth the trade-off for us. - A/C available 1st floor & lower-level only. Upstairs had vents but no airflow for whatever reason. We opened windows, which had screens, for airflow at night. - Neighbors have installed permanent sign telling you to be quiet or they’ll call police. Not very friendly to interact with, but understandable if you live next to renters who party late. - Cooking pans could stand to be replaced. Some were warped and wouldn’t lay flat on electric burners, non-stick material flaking on many. - Lake access doesn’t allow swimming directly from property. Property is directly on muddy canal. But, easy paddle to sand bar, which is knee-deep and sandy.Overall, closer to 3.5/stars than 4, especially relative to cost, but enjoyment of rental well outweighed the minor inconveniences.

Great/Safe Summer Getaway
Mike and Tia were great hosts, and very accommodating. The house was super spacious for 6 adults and 2 dogs with a great kitchen for cooking your own meals and a deck for dining out with a water view. The kayaks, paddle boat and access to a pontoon made the lake fun, low water level a bit of a bummer but that's nature. Thanks !

A week of happiness on the lake
The location was beautiful. There were 7 of us and the house never felt crowded. Plenty of choices to sit on the deck too! Kitchen was well laid out making it easy to cook all meals except the day we arrived when we did take out. Would rent again for sure

Overall, great stay
Positives
Large house that has most of what is needed
lots of front lawn
sandy by water which was great for kids
good fishing off pier
not many boats in the water besides ours
access to rent pontoon boat
negatives
Can't swim off the pier.
There weren't many negatives but this was kind of a big one. From what I saw, none of the reviews/descriptions mentioned this. It worked out fine because we rented the boat and were able to swim because of that.
Overall, we had a great experience.

Family Getaway
The house was nice and the bathrooms have been completely remodeled. If you plan on cooking bring yourself a knife for cutting, the one or two provided are dull. The refrigerator door compartments are taped together so items placed there are not secure and could possibly fall off. The roll away beds were nice to have for the kids but the mattresses were rather old and offered little to no support. When parking in the driveway, park in the bottom half, there is a Mulberry tree that liters the top half with berries.
We loved the paddled boat and kayaks. The outdoor furniture and landscape appear to have been neglected. The outdoor seating is well worn and with holes (I am assuming other renters used them by a fire). The landscape is taking over the deck area. The vines blocked the view from the basement window and are starting to creep onto the upper deck and stairs.
If you plan on fishing, it will be easy to catch a fish, they are plentiful. Keep in mind that the dock is in water that is about two feet deep.
Overall it was a nice trip, Tia was quick to respond to any questions. The price was a little high for what the home had to offer.

Great place!!
First thing is Tia is great answered any and ever question I had. Second is great location easy to get to. Third my self and my family had a great time with easy access to the water and playing cornhole with a fire going!! We had 16 ppl and never once felt crowded. So if you’re looking for a good place with a good host this is the one we will definitely be back!!!!

Awesome beach Great Lake for kids!
We enjoyed our time at the house. However there is very limited comfortable seating and the furniture is very warn. It’s priced a little high for the interior. The exterior Back deck stairs is missing railing which is a little unsafe for kids and older adults. Owners are very responsive and the lake and beach are perfect for small children.

Family vacay
Tia was a great host, house was comfortable and the lake was awesome! Make sure you go down to the sandbar, it was a highlight of our trip. The kayaks and paddle boat were a nice thing to have, we really enjoyed time on the water. The grill was not in working order...bummer. Overall would recommend this home and Tia as a host👍🏻

Great place for fun in the sun without the madness of larger lakes and all the lake traffic.
