Good value hotel
Having read some negative reviews I was a bit worried before the stay, however I was very pleasantly surprised when I got there. The parking was fine (we arrived at 4pm at the end of October and had the choice of a few parking spaces). The arrival/check in was easy and the beds very comfortable. Loved the free hot drinks from the machine on the 2nd floor with a huge jar of very tasty cookies. There are a couple sofas in the drinks area and it was great to chat to other guests. The breakfast was a cold buffet but plentiful and enough variety. Location wise, it was a 10minute walk to a food hall, and a 20/30 minute walk to central Reykjavik. 30mins walk to the Perlan museum. Overall, great value.
There were a couple of things in the bathroom that could do with repair (light over the mirror didn't work and the toilet was wobbly!!) No staff available, except the person replenishing the breakfast buffet, but they do give you a number to call if any issues. We didn't call as we had no need so not having staff available was not an issue at all for us.

Schoon
schoon, efficiënte check-in, goed bed

Check-in nightmare
The check-in proces was a shitshow. The employees don't speak english nor icelandic, and they were therefore impossible to communicate with (they spoke polish). Their online booking system was down, so noone could pay or get any information about the self checkin proces. It took like an hour.

Good for a layover, but not a destination
Easy to get to. Nice complementary breakfast. Loved the original art everywhere. A little bohemian :)
A little shabby. Rooms are small and painted dark gray. When we arrived, I hadn’t been sent any codes yet, so we had to troubleshoot a bit and text the WhatsApp automated number. But it all worked out in the end

Lovely modern and cosy hotel in Reykjavik with a good free breakfast.
Really surprised at this hotel for the price - really cosy, good selection of continental breakfast and scrambled eggs in the morning. Free hot drinks. Rooms were nice and warm and toilets were clean. The shared bathrooms are on each floor, our floor had 3 x toilets and 1 x shower, we never had to queue. City centre about 20 minute walk.
Slightly further from the main bus terminals than we were expecting (30 min walk). Had issues with self-check in as they had send two lockbox codes and I was using the wrong one but no real problems.
