Location was great
Rooftop terrace with best view of old city
Clean
Comfortable
Staff friendly
The room we stayed in was extremely noisy, having no windows fresh air and open to stair well each side
Entry to the room unsafe.
As a foreigner was not advised what to do when air sirens were activated.

Prachtig uitzicht over de stad op het dakterras met vriendelijk personeel
WC en douche was een afgeschot gedeelte in de familiekamer. Met 6 mensen gebruiken is niet ideaal. Verdieping erboven wel voldoende ruimte

Air con worked well. It was in the middle of the old city, which was perfect as we could visit the sites. It was a 9 mins walk from the nearest light rail with our bags so if you don’t like walking with your bags in the heat, I would suggest getting a hostel outside of the old city. The staff were nice and the rooftop was lovely. There is a small communal kitchen and a fridge in our room.
It didn’t feel too clean. The bed sheets were thin and uncomfortable and the shower was in the bathroom so got the toilet seat wet every time.

Comfortable with amazing locations
The kitchen. It's falling to bits with what seems to be a selection of stuff just left behind by other travellers. The rest of the hostel is well looked after by hosts and as a result we'll looked after by guests. The kitchen is the one area guests aren't as respectful of because it hasn't been maintained by the hosts. All it needs is a basic renovation and a new set of crockery and pans.

The location and the staff
The bathroom - no intimacy at all and very small.

Everything. The room is very small. The private "bathroom" is a toilet with a shower. We left the hostel after a night. It's indecent

Amazing staff: shout out to James and Micah for their amazing work. Extra shout out to James who took his time after work to show us around the walls of Jerusalem!
It’s in the heart of Jerusalem with beautiful 360 views of the city in the rooftop area. Amazing views of sunrise and sunset. Close to everything!
There a bad smell coming from the sewer or ou own private bathroom. There’s no elevator but James and Luca helped us out with our baggage.
4.3
location fantastic, friendly helpful staff, small but functional room we were able to keep cool.
no mattress under the single bed as under the beds was the only storage space. better fitting blinds/curtains to keep out the early morning sun

Hospitality and communication are outstandingly excellent.
My flight got cancelled a day, and my mum and aunt's flight got delayed. Richard is an excellent manager. He made sure someone is there to open the door for them at 2am. He gave us instructions on how to get to the location with all relevant info needed to check in.
The location is superb, and only a few minutes walk away from the holy sites.
The rooftop offers an amazing view of the old city.
The coffee shop next to the hostel was cheap and offered a delicious breakfast.
Other staff members were very helpful and accommodating- Thanks to James and Sam too for looking after my mum and Aunt.
Thanks ever so much,
Venus

Our stay at New Citadel Hostel was excellent! All te staff is super nice, friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful, rooftop is magnificent and the hostel is situated next to all the most important sites in Jerusalem - BRAVO!!!
The only light in our room (no 8) was a super bright fluorescent lamp, so we didn´t really want to turn it on, when we were at the room in the evenings. Maybe the lamp could be changed into a softer one or there could also be a table lamp in the room :)?
