Lugar cómodo, bien atendido y económico

La amable atención del dueño de casa. La ubicación. Me aconsejo sobre recorridos para hacer me consiguió translado a Guatemala sin que yo tuviera que preocuparme. La terraza desde donde se ven los volcanes.

Todo estuvo muy bien y de acuerdo a mis expectativas.

Excellent guesthouse with friendly owners, great value for money

Casa ELA was clean, comfortable and the owners were extremely friendly and made us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious and we organised our Acetenango hike through the guesthouse. It is just a short 10 minute walk into central Antigua. Nala the dog was very friendly!

A perfect place to stay near Cerro de la Cruz in Antigua Guatemala

The house is sparkling clean and the kitchen well-equipped. The shared living room and dining room space is beautifully arranged so it feels cozy yet spacious. Also, the rooftop has an amazing view of the three volcanoes (Volcán Agua, Volcán Acatenango, and Volcán Fuego). It is situated right below the Cerro de la Cruz so you can quickly walk up and down before breakfast. We stayed for three nights and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast every morning before we ventured out for the day. Alvaro and Lupita are truly wonderful hosts. Their dog Nala is adorable and greets all the guests with a friendly tail wag. Alvaro is very kind and extremely informative. He goes out of his way to help the guests with any needs or requests. The room is quiet and the bed is comfortable. We stayed in a private room with a spacious shower. Everything is taken good care of and it made our entire experience in Antigua very pleasant and memorable. If I'm even in Antigua again, I'd stay at Casa ELA without giving a second thought.

The shower in the private room was weak on the first night, but I don't know what changed, it quickly became much better pressure for the rest of the stay.

Muy buen alojamiento

la habitacion estaba muy limpia , todo bien organizado , el desayuno ligero pero muy bueno . Don Alvaro muy atentamente nos consiguo un tour por el volcan ; las zonas comunes muy limpias, sin duda volveré.

話し声がまる聞こえで、騒々しい宿だった

部屋がおしゃれ。とても清潔。屋上からの景色が良い。

部屋がキッチンやリビングに近いので、話し声が筒抜けに聞こえる。夜に複数人が大声で長時間話しこんでいて、騒々しかった。一番うるさかったのは、混ざって話していたオーナーの笑い声だった。宿では静かにリラックスしたい、という人にはおすすめできません…。朝ごはんは少し量が少ないです。

Antigua zum Wohlfühlen

Außergewöhnlich freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber! Es wurde bei sämtlichen Touren, Transfers, Restaurant Tipps und Fragen zu Antigua und Umgebung geholfen. Die Unterkunft hat eine traumhafte Dachterrasse mit Blick auf alle drei Vulkane. Die Zimmer/Bad sind sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Das Frühstück ist frisch, lecker und liebevoll zubereitet. Die Lage ist am Rande der Altstadt die mit einem kurzer Fußweg erreichbar ist perfekt (nah zum Aussichtspunkt mit Blick über die Stadt gelegen).

Great stay

Great accomodation, beautifu and clean room, lot opportunities to put your stuffs, hot shower, amazing view from the shareable balcony to the volcano's. very tasty, traditional breakfast. and good option to get in contact with other travellers. Super friendly and helpfule stuff. Alvaro was great, he help us for everything we need, even for things not connected with the accomodation. He offer us the best tour guide for Acatenango hiking, he organise for us and reservate shuttle service... even after we check out, he check on us how we are doing. Big thanks to Alvaro and his wife.

A beautiful property in a great location.

Great location. Hosts were excellent and so helpful. Breakfast was perfect. A really lovely place. Make sure you get up to the terrace for a cuppa with a view.

Shower wasn’t great but it didn’t bother us.

Es war so eine gute Erfahrung.

Das Haus war so schön, ich hab mich durch die nette Begrüßung sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt. Und der Preis ist unglaublich. Tee zu frühstück, perfekt zum Kochen und für längere Aufenthalte in der schönen Stadt Antigua.

Beautiful, peaceful guesthouse in Antigua

I loved my stay at Casa Ela, I can't recommend it enough! There's a beautiful terrace on the roof where you can see the surrounding volcanoes, you might even be able to see lava erupting from El Fuego on a clear night. I worked from the terrace most days of my stay, the wifi is stable and the views incredible. Alvaro and Lupita are the most kind, gracious hosts who go above and beyond, always ready to help, answer questions, or sit for a chat, and their dog Nala is an adorable sweetie. The location is great, it's quiet and very close to the walk up the hill to Cerro de la Cruz. Antigua is a safe city and I felt comfortable walking from the house through town, everything is within a 15-20 minute walk. The house is kept very clean, the beds comfy, there's filtered water available, and coffee, tea, and breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend!

Super recomendado

O Sr Álvaro e a Sra Lupita são excelentes anfitriões. Álvaro nos ajudou com passeio e depois do checkout ainda guardou nossas mochilas sem cobrar nada e depois que chegamos do passeio do vulcão ainda nos ofereceu banho. Indicou uma empresa muito boa e barata para subirmos ao vulcão. Super recomendamos a todos.

Maravilloso

Tenia una terraza increible , cocina muy bien equipada y limpia. Alvaro, Lupita y Nala son los mejores anfitriones!! Piezas comodas! La verdad perfecto. La verdad nos sentimos muy acogidos. Todas las dudas que teniamos Alvaro nos ayudaba. Incluso despues de irnos de Antigua, seguimos en contacto y cuando tuvimos problemas por un robo en Ciudad de guatemala , el nos ayudo muchisimo!! Muy agradecidas!

Relaxing beautiful stay

Great relaxing stay, rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. There was a great view spot on the balcony. Most of all, Alvaro and Lupita were so lovely and helpful, in particular Alvaro who helped us book a day trip to Acatenango and help us with a miscommunication with our shuttle

It was clean

You could hear everything, they only take quetzales not dollars and only transfers not debit or credit card, room was ok I didn’t like to share bathroom and it was difficult to find the place and it was far from the main attractions in the city.

Enamorados de Antigua y Casa ELA

Hemos estado realmente bien en casa ELA, ha sido como estar en familia con Alvaro y Lupita. Nos ayudaron con todo lo que necesitamos, tours, traslados, restaurantes, etc Se preocuparon por mi marido que se puso enfermo. El alojamiento es muy cómodo, muy cerca del centro de Antigua pero sin estar en las calles con jaleo. Tiene al lado una pequeña tienda de comestibles y el punto de pick up La Candelaria para los tours. Si volvemos a Guatemala repetiremos sin dudarlo

Een echte aanrader!

Wat een gastvrijheid bij Casa ELA! Ondanks onze late aankomst werd de tafel nog speciaal voor ons gedekt, zodat we nog wat konden eten. Ook konden onze tassen hier blijven tijdens de Acatenango hike en heeft Alvaro ons geholpen met onze verdere reisplannen. De bedden zijn ook comfortabel. Maar het beste is dat de familie je gelijk thuis laat voelen en super vriendelijk is. Niets is teveel. Echt een aanrader!

A traveler’s

The hosts- Alvaro & Lupita - go above & beyond. As a traveler, I look for comfort, safety and peace and found it at this place. There are tons of places to stay in tourist-oriented places like Antigua but I doubt if the the level of sincere hospitality comes close to what I received here. The view from the rooftop deck was dramatic. I prepared meals in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed it there. In addition, the house is well-furnished and tasteful. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice place to stay in Antigua

Nice house with everything working as advertised. Kitchen worked well and particularly liked the containers to store food in, and bathroom/shower was good.

It would be better if there were fly nets on the windows so that you can cool down the room without mosquitos entering. Bedsheet kept coming off the bed.

Great value for money with a super friendly host!

Not the place if you're looking for a 'boutique hotel' vibe (you'll find plenty in the rest of Antigua) but perfect if you're looking for a no-nonsense place close to the city center with a very homey feeling. Alvaro and his wife were so helpful and friendly troughout our stay (general info, transportation,...). Room and breakfast were basic but decent, bathroom's a bit run down but overall great value for money. Views of erupting Fuego volcano from the roof terrace!

Breakfast is rather basic with some bread, banana and coffee, but then again you can use the fridge and kitchen to complement your needs.
