Would recommend a stay here

Everyone was so helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the beds were very comfortable

It was recommended by the hosts we leave some of luggage in Copacabana, we didn’t do this and struggled to walk up the hill with it all

Sehr nettes Hostel im Süden der Insel

Das neuwertige Hostel wirkt sehr gepflegt und einladend. Von den hilfsbereiten und liebenswerten Gastgeber wird man freundlich empfangen. Alles ist sauber und komfortabel. Das Frühstück am Morgen ist sehr lecker mit frischen Brötchen, frischem Obst, Joghurt und Eiern. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Un séjour délicieux sur l’île du Soleil.

Super séjour au Wara Uta ! Nous avons été merveilleusement accueillis par la famille. Les chambres sont très confortables et joliment décorés. L’Hostal est idéalement situé, sur la partie haute du village de Yumani. Au calme mais à proximité immédiate des restaurants de l’île. Nous avons pu apprécier une bonne bière sur la terrasse attenante à l’Hostal, la vue est magnifique ! Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et très corrects. Je recommande fortement.

La salle de bain est un peu sommaire mais elle fait bien l’affaire !

Notte in altura

Camera pulita, accogliente e con una bella vista sul lago! Doccia calda! Posizione un po' difficoltosa da raggiungere perché è in cima al paese ma merita tutta la fatica. I proprietari sono davvero gentili e simpatici. Ottima qualità prezzo... nelle vicinanze ottimi ristoranti.

Faticoso arrivarci con lo zaino da 20 kg! Ma ne vale la pena!

Lindo lugar

O atendimento da Sr Alice é ótimo. Café da manhã simples e excelente. Limpeza impecável. Linda vista e próximo de vários restaurantes.

Recomendo ir com pouco peso. Uma subida de aproximadamente 1 hora. No entanto, o melhor lugar da ilha. Linda vista. Tranquilidade.

Grande satisfação

Da acolhida, da beleza do quarto, do café da manhã, da localização que está bem no alida ilha e se tem visão maravilhosa do lago, 360 graus. A senhora Alice é muito atenciosa. Tem jardim.

Comfortable a un precio adecuado.

El desayuno muy bueno. El lugar ubicado en el centro del pueblo de Yumavi. La propietaria muy amable y gentil. El interior de la habitación familiar limpio y ordenado, camas y almohadas suaves y cómodas. Lámparas de noche graduables. En resumen es una habitación comfortable!!!

Está en proceso de mejora de la parte exterior, la fachada se ve un poco deteriorada por el clima, con rajaduras y daños que son reparables. Falta mejorar la ornamentación con plantas, éstas están descuidadas.

Posto molto carino e piacevole il personale è molto sorridente. Ho preso la barca e alla fine ho deciso di arrivare a nord e andare a piedi a sud attraverso l'isola. Posto molto pulito e carino colazione buona con bella vista

Really nice stay!

We stayed for one night and really enjoyed the stay. We were welcomed so warmly, had a nice and clean room, a warm shower and a delicious fruit salad for breakfast with an amazing view over the lake. Definitely recommend!

Hostal très sympa mais il faut être sportif pour y arriver

L'hostal Wara Uta est un endroit très sympa. La terrasse et le restaurant (pour le petit déjeuner) donne sur le lac. C'est tres agréable. La propriétaire est incroyablement gentille. Excellent rapport qualité-prix !!

Elle nous dit qu'il faut 20 minutes de marche pour aller du port à l'hostal. Faites attention si vous n'êtes pas dans une bonne forme physique. Nous avons mis 1h pour y arriver et c'était laborieux

Really nice hosts and a stunning view! Like mentioned before it's a good idea to come with just a (small) backpack because of the steep walk uphill. We were informed about that by the hosts before we came and loved our stay :-)

Great spot

Great location, just off the witch market. Breakfast and rooftop restaurant was lovely. Staff very friendly and willing to help where they can. Good value for money ended up having a whole room to myself and booked on an extra day with ease.

Beautiful place… a must see in Bolivia.

Property had an amazing view of the lake and mountains. Also close by to restaurants. Rooms were warm and very clean. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was also great!

The long walk up the hill was tough… so make sure to leave your big luggage at your hostel in Copacabana. While the walk was annoying it was totally worth it for the view.

Perfect!

Beautiful large comfortable rooms with large bathroom and hot shower. The lady that ran the hostel was friendly and made a lovely breakfast. Very close to lovely restaurants for watching the sunset. As other people have mentioned- this is a STEEP walk uphill to get to the hostel so only being necessary luggage for your time in Isla del sol, leave backpacks in Copacobana!

Great location! Steps away from restaurants on the other side of the hill to watch sunset from, and all we had to do in the morning was open the curtains to watch the sunrise. Breakfast was delicious and we were allowed to store our bags while we went exploring for the day. Lots of blankets to keep warm and warm shower!

Just a note to be aware that it is a bit of a hike so be prepared and take it slow!

Nice room. Clean and cosy. Its a small family owned place. They were kind but not talking so much. Almost at top of the island with a nice view, especially from the breakfast room.

As a solo traveller I would have liked some kind of common room to sit in the evening. But theres a lot of nice restaurants nearby, so not a big problem

Superb

Very clean, family run and they were very kind and helpful. The view from the dinning room was spectacular. I had expected to be cold at night but the room wasn’t cold and there were plenty of blankets to stay warm.

Just be aware the hostel (and main town) are at the top of a steep hill, gives you a great view and near to restaurants and 2 viewpoints but to bear in mind when bringing luggage!

Very helpful staff. Let us have late check out as my partner was sick, and allowed us to stay at reception for the day til our night bus. Free teas and coffee all day.

It's 15 minute walk from the centre, but there's a market nearby.

Hotel in the peaceful surroundings at the top of the island

The location of hotel is right at the top of the island with great views. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable, with nice beds for a good night's sleep. The breakfast is basic but includes a little bit of eggs and a fruit salad.

The room doesn't really have any storage space, so your clothes and bags are lying on the floor or the single chair. The wifi was not great, and the shower heater was not very strong.

Excellent view, very clean and comfortable, very kind family

Excellent view on lake Titicaca. Breakfast was delicious. We could leave our backpacks after checkout to go for another hike. The family is very kind and friendly :) The shower was warm and Wi-Fi was quite good. We enjoyed a coca tea on the terrace in the sun. 200m away there are several really good restaurants with a perfect sunset view (Las Velas, Pachamama). Advise: the walk up the Island (30-40min) is very steep! Better deposit your big backpack in a hostel in Copacabana and only bring the stuff you need for the stay on Isla del Sol! Also, the sun is really intense up at 4000m, don’t forget your hat/cap/sombrero ;) Also, it gets pretty cold at night.

Peaceful pearch of guesthouse

Although it is up high from the port, the views are beautiful. Another advantage is that it’s close to where the sunset bars and restaurants are. The owners and their daughter, Wara, are sweet and very attentive. The place is incredibly clean, with new rugs, sheets and good lighting. It has a fresh feeling. The breakfast is good and served in a room with big windows looking over the lake. I would have stayed sn extra day if I hadn’t already made other plans to be in La Paz. I slept like a

Bathroom was outside and around the corner. ps- would be difficult to stay here if you have a lot of luggage or mind walking uphill with many bags.

Some of the best views in Yumani from your room maybe ten feet from the top of this part of Isla del Sol. Spacious rooms, hot showers, good WiFi, a satisfying small breakfast, and a really quite lovely host. We regretted not being able to stay longer.

The beds were on the soft side but not a deal breaker for us. Mainly people should be aware just how high up the place is—try to pack light and be prepared for a climb but the views are worth it.

Nice stay but not convinced nicer than cheaper places on the Island

The rooms are lovely and clean, location is good, breakfast is good.

Very difficult to get attention of staff. They messaged us re arrival time then left us waiting outside with no one around for 1.5 hours. This wouldn’t have been an issue if they had said they wouldn’t be there until later but they specifically asked when we would arrive then I could not get through on phone or message. Finally their (7 year old?) daughter arrived back from school and let us in. Didn’t actually see the owners until breakfast the next day. Difficult if you need anything from them…

Idyllic stay with beautiful lake views.

Wara Uta is super cute. Our room was huge and spotless - the beds were cosy and the view of the lake was wonderful. it’s very quiet (apart from a couple of donkeys) and the breakfast was the best we’ve had during our time in Peru/Bolivia.

We didn’t have any hot water but our host did explain it’s hard to come by!

Lovely place to stay on La Isla del Sol

The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was made to order. I had a great view of the lake from my room, and I especially liked it that my room had donkeys next to it. If you arrive from the Sun temple, it’s not bad to get to, but of course, like all properties, coming from the Yumani port, it’s a an uphill adventure against altitude. If you want to go to Las Velas, it’s the perfect location because it is the closest accommodation. Since may be walking through the forest on your way back and need a flashlight, it’s very easy to find your way back. It’s also on the way to one of the lookout points from which it’s about 10 minutes to get there. The path to it continues past Las Velas.
