About this house rental
Lake, Wine, and Relax with the whole family. This 5 bedroom elevated A frame house includes 4 king beds, 2 twin beds, and also 2 queen sleeper sofas. The large kitchen and open eating area can accommodate a small or large group. The private dock with direct access to the lake provides fun for everyone. This home is perfect for a weekend or week long getaway with family and friends. Ten minutes from Seneca Falls, nestled along the Cayuga Wine Trail with private and peaceful water front views.
Setting the coffee maker for just before sunrise, you will be looking forward to getting up early at our Cayuga Lake House retreat. As the sun’s rays break the horizon to touch down on the water, all your stress will simply melt away. While you sit on the deck sipping your fresh coffee overlooking Cayuga, you begin to contemplate what activities the day has in store. Whether you plan to explore all of the Cayuga Wineries, jump over to the Seneca Wineries, or take a boat or kayak out on Cayuga…your day is going to be amazing.
If your previous night included fun at the del Lago Casino and you need a little more rest, every room has blackout shades to extend your slumber. A recovery day at the house is inviting. The well stocked kitchen holds a large island with seating and is a great place to gather as meals are being prepared. The dining area opens to the deck by large french doors, allowing for family board games to be played and memories to be created. For those wanting to sit back and relax, the living room contains a sectional sofa and a pull-out queen sleeper sofa. Moving back to the sun room, there is another pull-out queen sleeper sofa, TV, and convertible gaming table that has foosball, minipool, and table hockey. The sun room is also the main entry point for the home.
With three of the five bedrooms having lake views, everyone will feel “at the lake”. The other two rooms have their bonuses as well. The second upstairs room, being the “kids” room, has a low loft twin bed with a rolling trundle twin bed and TV; the kids will have a space of their own. The main floor bedroom is the other room without a direct lake view. However, it is also one of the largest, again with its own TV, and most accessible as it is on the main floor with the main floor full bath and walk-in shower just across the hall. A perfect room for those that have difficulty navigating lots of stairs.
Going down one more flight of stairs, you enter the walk-out basement level. This area contains two large bedrooms, each with views of the lake. Both bedrooms have king sized beds, large closets, and a TV in each room. There is also a full bathroom on this floor with a walk-in shower. This level is where you will find the full sized washer and dryer as well.
Walk down the driveway and cross the road to your own lake access and dock. Sixteen steps down to the lake and you are ready to jump in your kayak to explore. The north part of Cayuga is shallow and does freeze in the winter. Thus, during these months, the dock is pulled out of the water. Also something to keep in mind if you plan to bring your boat is your boat’s draft. Make sure to check the depth chart! There is a boat launch just 1.5 miles away at the Cayuga State Park for easy access to the water.
We love our Cayuga lake house due to its proximity to Seneca Falls restaurants, the Cayuga and Seneca Wine Trails, multiple colleges and universities, shopping at the Premium Outlets in Waterloo, going to hike in the Fingerlakes National Forest, exploring the sight and sounds at the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge or simply hanging out at the house. During the college bowl season, every room has a TV. With BYOSS (Bring Your Own Streaming Service) and >200GB download internet speeds, you can choose your game by walking from one room to another.

This Lake House was the absolute perfect getaway. The house was beautifully decorated and clean, all the beds were so comfy with pillows and blankets to go around! There were 3 large bathrooms making getting ready easier for 11 girls! Location was perfect right near the water and close to wineries and the town! Not to mention the absolutely perfect view to wake up to every morning! We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!

Spacious home with beautiful lake view. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us with beds to spare. Great location for hitting the Cayuga wine trail. A great time was had by all.

House is great for big groups. Full bathroom on each floor also a plus. I’ve stayed at many Vrbo properties and never have had towels laid out on bed for each guest and toiletries in bathrooms for use, it is such a nice touch! Our whole group enjoyed the property!

Pictures of the place on VRBO are just as the place is. Beautiful views of the lake, and the kitchen was nice with modern appliances and amenities. There is nice privacy on top of the hill, and it is close to Seneca Falls, where we found a few great restaurants. We also did a winery tour with a boat picking us up right from their dock! Very special.

We were a group of ten longtime friends visiting the Finger Lakes for a Wine Tour. The house was perfect for us with many spaces for gathering, spacious kitchen, comfortable living room, sunroom and a great deck! Views are spectacular, even with a little bit of rain!

When you look at the pictures, you get the impression that the home has lake frontage. However, after you are locked in to the stay with just a day or two, you receive an email that you have to cross a busy highway to get to the dock of the property. It is a very busy highway indeed. Heavy trucks, pick up trucks and all other kinds of vehicles are passing through on the highway. There is no sense of tranquility that you expect from a house which charges such premium. The bedroom on the main level was hot throughout the night during the summer week we rented this house since it has a common HVAC with the entire main level leading to uneven heating and cooling . Certain fixtures like the oven and kitchen cabinet doors were broken. In my opinion, this house should not command the lofty premium it charged us

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION
This house is absolutely amazing!!! From the incredible views, to the extremely comfortable beds, the spacious layout & the gourmet kitchen.
The only negative was that we only stayed 2 nights.
We were a group of 11 for a girls weekend.
Wolfy’s is right across the street. A fun atmosphere and great food !!! We did the wine trail on Saturday which was FABULOUS.
Ordered dinner in from Parker’s Grille on Saturday night. We could bare to leave the house or the view. Jessi and Jonathan were kind, thoughtful professional and attentive. We will DEFINITELY be back. I’d give 6 stars if I could.
