You can’t beat Sea Colony, Ocean or Tennis side. This particular stay did suffer from a lack of attention to some maintenance issues, the most serious involving the AC!!!

Vacasa is a nightmare to deal with. The unit was filthy (cobwebs, old food in the carpet, broken curtain, mildew on balcony floor and furniture). More importantly, we arrived to a unit with a balcony door that was broken and with a screen that was fallen down. When I called to ask for a fix I was greeted with a rude representative who told me the part was on order and that if I wanted a functioning balcony I should cancel and leave. Two days later a vacasa repairman showed up (unannounced with no notice) and fixed the door. He confirmed that no part was needed and wasn’t sure why he hadn’t been sent sooner and why I fed with lies. Vacasa reaches out constantly asking how everything is and promising to engage (to give an appearance of caring and being competent) and fix things but they don’t. Great location and great beach…everything else was a disaster.

This unit is in a great location with easy access to pools and the beach! The elevators were quick and the large rolling bins provided by the community for loading/unloading were very helpful. The furniture in the living room is a bit dated but still in good shape and served its purpose. Kitchen well stocked with flatware, dinnerware, and glassware. Pans/knives were present but more limited (though I tend not to expect much from rentals in that regard). Would recommend bringing some extra kitchen towels from home. AC worked well and provided good cooling. Our only complaint was that the numbered parking spot was difficult to find initially, but a Sea Colony staff member was ultimately able to help us locate it. Overall, this unit seemed well cared for and I would stay here again.

Would have been 5 star but wife missed having a TV in the bed room and at check in just a little clue on where your assigned parking spot is over all the place was nice with no problems. Should have been a heads up about the activity fee for each person the was charged after booking especially when they closed the pool at the house two days after we checked in. Would stay again but have to pay more attention to the dates of closing pools in Sept.

The place we stayed was clean but not spotless. It could use some updating and new appliances. View was nice and a lot of pools available onsite. Some of the amenities are spread out and you need to take a trolley to get there. Nice beach and town is within walking distance. This makes it a nice place for families. For a short stay.

We have been staying in various units for 25 years. This was one of the best we have stayed in. Here are the pros that are important:
- Very well cared for. Lots of extras that show how much care went into the unit. Nice carpeting, ample storage in bathrooms, built-ins in second bedroom were beautiful.
- Very high quality beds/pillows. Mattresses were excellent.
- Exceptionally stocked kitchen. One of the best I have seen.
- Decent deck furniture - this is important because most people spend a lot of time on the deck. The netting for child safety is also good.
- Washer/dryer were great. Quiet and the dryer works quickly. We have been in units where they were terrible, and it is a major inconvenience.
Improvements:
- Need more blankets. There were no extra.
- Recommend stocking some board games for rainy days/nights. Our kids are older so we watched TV but would have enjoyed a game of Monopoly. Most units have board games.
We will definitely rent this unit again. Thanks!

Awesome week in Bethany Beach
This property was awesome - perfect for my husband, three adult children and me. The view was beautiful - watched the sunset over the ocean from our balcony this morning. Loved having a washer and dryer in my bathroom. It was .8 mile walk to the town which we did 4 or 5 times. The State park was a 10 minute ride and good for fishing. Ocean City was a 20 minute ride. Kitchen had everything we needed!

We loved the condo. Very clean and uniquely decorated. We really had a great anniversary. We will have future interest in staying there again soon
