Great view of Mt Rushmore
4.7
The house location was great and convenient to the Black Hills attractions. The house had plenty of room, and I enjoyed the deck and the view. I was disappointed that there were not enough towels for a 5 night stay, and some of the towels were stained. Also, the showers were small!
4.7
We selected this property for the view of Mt. Rushmore and it was exactly as we hoped for. Quiet neighborhood with beautiful view of trees and wildlife on the property. Having a garage with garage opener to park our car was a really nice option. Especially during the times when it rained and hailed.
4.7
This property was amazing! Perfect location, right down the street from main Keystone shops and so close to Mt Rushmore. The backyard is right up to a forest of trees that our 3 boys (9, 9, 11) could play in. The deck faces Mt Rushmore and we watched the lights go on and off every night. The location. Was clean and had all the appliances we needed. We would recommend this to Everyone and if we ever come back we will stay there again!

This house was beautiful - views of Mt Rushmore were great! So much to do in the Keysone area - we could have stayed for another week trying to fit it all in! House is a great "home base" for all the exploring that you want to do and even for days to just relax!! My family made so many priceless memories, and with my husband having brain cancer, we realized that life is too short to wait for "some day" .. America the Beautiful is an understatement!!
4.7
The property looked exactly like the photos. It was very scenic and had a great porch. Plenty of room for our entire family of six. Great location.
4.7
a wonderful home with lots of personal touches. spacious and well appointed and located.

We did enjoy our stay. Property manager responded right away when I notified him we were a bit early. The place was clean. It was very nice to drive into an enclosed garage to exit into vrbo. the location was great. wonderful porch however it was very cold while we were visiting so we did not use it much.. It snowed! The downstairs bedrooms are very cold. The downstairs bathroom could use a heater/vent/light. It only has a vent/light. Besides the cold situation, we would all stay there again. thank you for a wonderful memory
4.7
The property is a bit rustic but very clean with a clear view of the side of Mt Rushmore. Many sitings of deer in the yard and surrounding area. Entry from both the street and garage are from the lower level and the main living area is up several stairs. That would only be an issue if stairs are a challenge for you, after all it is on the side of a mountain!
4.7
Wow! What a great location! We were able to sample many pertinent sites! Daily hikes, lovely picnic every day! Great September weather! Cool afternoons on the sunny porch! The view of Mt Rushmore in the distance was a perk!
Thank you for hosting us!
4.7
Everything about our stay was fantastic! The place was exactly as described and very clean. Plenty of space and the deck with the view of Mount Rushmore was amazing. Great location with short drives to many of the local attractions. We had a fun relaxing time 😃

We loved our stay in Keystone. The house was centrally located to everything we wanted to do and 5 minutes from Mt Rushmore. You really can see Mt Rushmore form the house, which was pretty cool, especially for my (obsessed) 5 year old!
The house was also very clean and they provided just about everything. They provided, or previous renters left - shower products, laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, plenty of extra blankets, plenty of washcloths and towels, coffee, and kitchen dishes and utensils. We grilled mostly. There was even a folding table and chairs for extra guests.
Like other reviews said, 2 bedrooms are downstairs while the primary bedroom is upstairs. My kids (4 and 5) didn’t want to sleep downstairs at first but they eventually warmed up to it. The basement was pretty cold though. Beds were okay but pillows were kind of flat. Bathrooms are outdated but very clean so it didn’t bother us. Showers were small.
It was very nice to be able to park in the garage. Check in and check out process were very easy.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this house and if we come to South Dakota again, we will definitely be staying here again.

This house was perfect for our multi-generational girls trip of 5. Thank you!
4.7
We had a great time. We liked the view and good location to get to many of the great sights and attractions.
4.7
This house was great. View from the deck is the real bonus. House had everything you would need for a comfortable stay and was spotless. Within walking distance to the historic district of Keystone and easy drive to Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park. We enjoyed cocktails on the deck at night looking at Mount Rushmore - it was so quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.

This cabin is in a great location. Close to almost everything that we wanted to do.

Three siblings and spouses from Utah, SD and MN met for Thanksgiving weekend. This rental property location was perfect! The view of Mount Rushmore added to our reflections of the many blessings we have as a family and the country we are so fortunate to live in. The property was clean, warm and inviting. The contact person was readily available to discuss a couple minor issues. Thank you for sharing your home, and hopefully we can return sometime in the near future.
4.7
Stayed for 3 nights- the location is in town but still secluded and has a great view!! The 2 living rooms areas are great people to have space. We loved the deck areas, goose ball table, grill and having a washer and dryer!! Would stay here again!!
4.7
The house was as advertised and conveniently located. All of the surrounding touristy area is a bit run down and very dated and this rental was much nicer than any of the hotels and other accommodations nearby.
4.7
House was well kept and had all of the amenities we needed. Beds were comfy. Wi-Fi worked great. There were lots of books and games and puzzles for entertainment but we were too busy trekking around the beautiful trails looking at wonderful scenery. Kitchen had all that we needed along with a view of Mount Rushmore from the kitchen window. This home was a good central location for all of the sites.
4.7
We loved this house and the location. The house was nice inside and out and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, dishes, etc., even a view of Mount Rushmore looking out window over the sink. It must have been updated and the furniture was nice and beds were comfortable. The deck was awesome and we used that everyday, looking at the view of Mount Rushmore while sitting on the deck both during the day and at night when it was lit up. We saw deer everyday by the deck. It was not right on main street, but up in the hills, which worked out great because it took just 5 minutes to get there from main street. Everything about our stay was good. When we come back to this area, we will certainly want to stay here again. We appreciated the fact that the owner shared his house with us.
4.7
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was an awesome location. The deck was our highlight and we sat out there every night. You can see Mount Rushmore from the deck, day or night. The neighborhood is quiet and we saw deer there every day. The house has been updated and was nicely done. The furniture was nice. We thought the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of dishes for cooking and anything we would need for our stay. There were quite a few steps to get to the main level, but fine for us and our Dad. The garage was a bonus while staying there. The house is a good location for doing all the things the area has to offer, Custer, Mount Rushmore, Badlands, etc. If we are in the area again, we would rent this house again.

very nice property. excellent view of mount rushmore. enjoyed the deck area very much and kitchen set up was great.

This property was perfect for our weekend . Check in and out was super easy. The house was clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again.

Our whole family of 5 enjoyed our stay. The view really is as described. It is in a great location, not too far from all the fun attractions.

My first bad review ever
2 /5
To say property is a Premier quality rental is Definitely misleading. Would definitely rank this rental in terms of cleanliness, outdated features, well below average.
The whole property does not look like they take pride or care in maintaining the outside appearance or interior . The landscaping is overrun with weeds, even the entry door is surrounded by cobwebs and dirt. Once you open the door we really understood what Our family hadgotten yourself into
The main entry comes is extremely dated small interior entrance was not shown on advertised photos. carpeting looks has been barely cleaned and are very much end of life!!!
The downstairs has two bedrooms plus a tightly packed furnishings and a foosball table all of which occupy a tiny common space.
The two main bathrooms were poorly cleaned, when you open the cabinet drawers are line by old vinyl wallpaper that his peeling off and as much as adhesive curled up along the edges. Within the cabinets you will find a limited Hodgepodge of old towels mixed ages, colors and various thread Bear status. The bath towels were such poor quality I would be apprehensive To even call them poor quality cleaning towels.
Each of the showers are roughly the size of a telephone booth with a stained shower curtains. The lower level of the house had an abundance of various insect infestation including at least 40 spiders which my niece, nephew for terrified, spiderwebs in almost ever corner of the ceiling. Cobb webs Have now been cleaned thanks to my mother, prior to that the kids wanted to leave The rental and find a hotel.
The upstairs master bath has a Jacuzzi tub. I tried to fill the tub with an adequate amount of hot water the water tank was able only to fill the lower 1/3 of the tub before it ran out of hot water.
My nine-year-old nephew and 11-year-old niece best describe the property probably most concisely as “gross, filthy and disgusting”
My nephew and niece wanted me to give the property A total score of zero out of five. I am being more generous when I provided with an overall score of two out of five
MY advice is to anyone who has made a reservation at this property, seriously reconsider or verify that this property has been more adequate cleaned updated Towels and linens updated with contemporary quality carpet. My family will not be staying at this place ever again. I have rented from lots of rentals over the years of which I’ve given fives.

Black Hills
We all enjoyed the location & the great view from the deck. The kitchen was good for all our needs, though a regular dining table & chairs for 6 people rather than the one that really only seats 5 would be a good change. We also needed more towels to be available. We enjoyed our Black Hills vacation.

This cabin was in a quiet neighborhood minutes from downtown Keystone. The location is a great base for exploring the area. The house has good space with an enjoyable deck we used to eat our meals outside. The jetted tub needs maintenance since the jets didn't really do much and spit black stuff into the water. My family members staying downstairs said it was significantly colder in the bedrooms. They had to use all the extra blankets. Overall the cabin could use some updates but it really does have a view of Rushmore. We saw deer everyday! We really enjoyed our time there and spoke about wanting to return. Thank you for sharing your cabin!

Great cabin and location
This cabin was clean, well taken care of, quiet, and as described. You really can see Mt. Rushmore from the deck!
The location was centrally located for everything in the Black Hills that we wanted to do. We could come back for lunch/naptime mid-day and not feel like we wasted a bunch of time driving.
My husband and I traveled with a newborn and an almost 4 year old. So, from that standpoint, you should know that there is only one bedroom on the main/upstairs floor where the living room and kitchen are located. Given their ages, we weren't comfortable putting them on the lower, entry level floor where the garage and laundry room is located. It worked for us--baby slept in a pack n play in the bedroom, and the toddler slept on the couch. But, for parents who like to stay up after kids go to bed, you may want to consider that. There is a downstairs TV/living area that would probably work for you if your kids are just a smidgen older than ours.
Overall, it was a fabulous location and cabin. We certainly recommend it!!

Perfect Vacation
What a great house! Location was perfect with easy drive to all attractions and restaurants. House was super comfortable and clean. We had 4 adults and had plenty of space with bedrooms and bathrooms up and downstairs, we all had plenty of privacy. The deck with the view of Mt. Rushmore was what attracted us to this property and it didn't disappoint. Although it is in the distance, you could still see it and especially at night when it is lit up. Lots of wildlife right in the yard. I would highly recommend this house.
4.7
We found the house very clean and fully stocked with all the essentials. Very close to the downtown and a wonderful view of Mt. Rushmore.

The property was great and exactly as described. We had no issues with anything while at the cabin so other than the check in process we didn't have a reason to reach out to the property manager. The only recommendation I would make - more towels would be nice. Part of my vacation is not doing laundry and to have fresh towels it was required. No crowds this time of year - if you don't mind the cooler days and nights, and are happy to cook rather than eat out - late October is a dream. The aspens were golden, the animals were out and about, and the hairpin curves on Needles and Iron Mountain were less scary with limited travelers. Keystone was a great base camp, and this cabin was wonderful. Sunrise on Mt Rushmore as seen from the coffeepot each morning was an amazing site. Thanks for a great trip.
