The property manager was more than helpful.

Reviewer Comments:
The location is great...and that's what you're paying for. The unit was clean, but the furniture was in bad shape (one of the stools was falling apart) and the blinds were dysfunctional (an issue when you're right next to the ski lifts, which are lit up all night long). The kitchen and bathrooms were marginally appointed (we ran out of toilet paper, but fortunately were close enough to the lodge that we just used the bathrooms there on our last day). BUT we'd stay there again because of the location. It's literally spitting distance from the slopes.

The rental was good. Incredibly close to the slopes and very convenient. Amenities were clean but slightly dated. This was evident from the pictures, so it was not a surprise. We had issues with water temperature and pressure during our visit, but that was the only negative. We would rent again.

While the unit was adequate in meeting our basic needs, it was anything but comfortable. Nothing has been updated; the pots and pans were barely usable because the finish was eroded. We will not be staying here again.

The condo location was excellent and the property management company was very professional and extremely helpful. There were some issues with the condo when we arrived and they promptly took care of it for us.

Ski out, without a Doubt!
Ok, get the hard stuff out of the way: The cable (DSL) and internet were a problem, but no fault of the owner or property managers. Frontier was contacted several times to fix it and it just didn't happen. They were very responsive to our calls nevertheless. This is just part of the Mountains in the Winter!
Now the EASY stuff:
You just can't ask for much better of a location to ski at Timberline! I think it was 10 or 12 steps (as in stairs) to the parking lot and maybe another 20 - 30 paces or so to get onto the flat for the lifts. Not having to lug gear around to ski - priceless.
The condo was beautiful! Clean, inviting, and warm! Warm was very important: Our first day skiing, temps hit a high of 6 degrees, and that's not "C" degrees that is "F" degrees! The linens and beds were very comfortable, even the fold out was reasonable, according the younger one in our group. The dishes, appliances and other kitchen items were in great shape. Note: be careful not to hit the Self-Clean button on the Range. Even if you turn it off, you won't be able to get the oven opened for about 90 minutes. It did not have much of an effect on us, but I would recommend a smaller dining table and more chairs, but we were able to actually take advantage of the large table as we settled in.
Overall, I am looking forward to staying here again! We love Timberline and the area (Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods, etc). I have been bringing my boys to Timberline since they were CubScouts. This is probably the best value and best accommodations we've had! (Ask me about the bunkhouse...) I hope my boys will continue this family tradition and bring their family to Timberline as well!

Slope Side vacation rental
Although we were here for hunting season, the property is "literally" slope side, as in "step out your door and you're on the slopes!" This would be great for anyone wanting to ski. The slopes opened earlier than usual this year, so we actually got to see the Timberline Ski Resort in action. Very interesting. Great property and location, clean and at a reasonable price.
