Recently spent a week here with my wife, son, and his friend.
House was as described in other reviews.
Pros:
Plenty of space for the 4 of us - would be easily comfortable with 6
Kitchen was well very functional and well-equipped.
Location was great: Great views, beach/water access, 3-5 minutes from Hooper's Bay (and turtles), less than 10 from George Town (groceries, alcohol, shopping, boat rentals, restaurants).
House was well-equipped: beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, plenty of bath towels. Kayaks - although we didn't use them - were a nice option.
Cons:
Slightly more wear and tear in the house than expected, based on photos. Nothing major, but worth noting.
AC in adjoining bedrooms was not functioning well (Note - owner sent out someone to work on them, which improved for a day or two but then were deficient again - owner was EXTREMELY responsive and, again, sent someone out).
Beach could be tough to get to for small children or adults with any mobility issues (have to climb down some rocks).
Other Suggestion/Recommendation - use the grocery service (including alcohol - if it's important to you) before arriving. Many stores and restaurant were not open (even contrary to web site information, etc.). We debated it but ultimately chose to use the service. Our concierge was great with the groceries - well worth the money and time.

This property was ideal for a mom/son getaway with 2 mom friends and16 year old boys. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies, the boys were delight at the surprise a kayak to use during the stay, the view from the backyard was beautiful and we loved sitting on chairs (also supplied by property owner) out by the rocks.
Other visitors have commented that the house has some wear and tear but this is somewhat to be expected with the constant conditions of sea/salt air and wind.
Travelers with young children may want to know that there are a lot of rocks to climb down before accessing the sandy beach and it may not be an ideal location for little ones but for 2 teens and us, that aspect was not a negative and it was fun to have two vantage points of the water.

What a gorgeous preserved example of mid century, modern architecture, the layout was fantastic, spacious, well, equipped, and on a well vegetated private large lot, and in a convenient location.. We loved staying at this house.

An older house that has been worked on but still needs some more upkeep. I would not rent again, specifically because of the lack of a#

Absolutely gorgeous location and quiet.
The cottage is older and there have been upgrades done, the living areas have beautiful furnishings. Believe owners are still upgrading/restoring the house. Owners very responsive and our (small) problem was solved rapidly. I would for sure return.

This place has great potential but there are things that could be done to improve comfortability. Aside from just overall being outdated, there are no lamps in the master bedroom, an overall shortage of towels (although there is a washing machine), the a/c doesn't cool enough, and the coffee maker is the most ridiculous coffee maker in the world. On a positive note, the beds are comfortable, the master suite is spacious, light, and airy, and the ocean is JUST RIGHT THERE! What a view from the back deck and then you just walk right out to the sea! We were part of a large group (6 in this house and 16 in the house next door) so convenience to each other was key. Overall, I'd stay here again, but would love to see some of the above mentioned amenities considered.

Great property - looked just like the photos. Greeted by Ayana at the airport and she had the groceries we requested waiting for us at the house. Would definitely stay here again

Beach Front Cottage with Great Floor Plan
Our family had a great stay at this wonderful cottage. The kitchen is brand new and open to a large living room. It made cooking and sharing family meals so easy! The concierge greeted us at the airport and was available to answer questions and assist with reservations throughout the week. They even provided a mid week clean ! The location is close to the airport and grocery stores. There is some construction going on in the area but that didn’t interfere with the comfort of our stay or the beauty of this area.

Disappointing
When we finally arrived in Exuma we were greeted by the rental manager at the airport. She was on the phone and showed no enthusiasm for greeting us. It was a bit uncomfortable. The house. When we pulled up it was like pulling into a construction zone. It was dusk & the property became dark quickly. The entry was dangerous to navigate. Many lights did not work. When we went in we encountered dark space as many of the lights and fixtures were out. We tested the TV/Internet...not working. The house was definitely not prepared for guests to arrive. The house manager was of no help. The owners were responsive when we called, but first impression damage had already been done. So we loaded our things and went to a hotel where everyone felt more at ease. The following day we went back to the property and the owners had contacted their local handyman & got the lights and TV/internet working. Apparently nobody has been to to this place in a while & a breaker had tripped, but there were many lights that were in need of replacement. The daytime image of the construction debris out front was less than desirable (I am in construction & not what I really want to see when on vacation). The kitchen was the only thing that looked newer, but the rest of the house needs updating. Bathrooms are stuck in 70's and sliding doors and worn tracks can be tricky to open and close. Two of the three bedrooms I had to clean off all the insects (mostly dead, some alive) off of the kids beds. Again, this was a problem as my kids felt very uncomfortable. It's about 150 feet to the beach at mid tide. At high tide there is no beach, it is rock which can be dangerous to navigate if you're not careful. The waters around Exuma are all spectacular and this was no different. It's very unfortunate in getting there you have to deal with poorly kept grounds and piles of debris in all areas of the property. So with the constant disappointment of the property we booked the hotel for the week. Again the owners of the property worked with us and were able to apply a credit to our account which was helpful. Unfortunately the house has many flaws that need remediation. From the greeting, to the uninviting home and property, renter take note. Do not arrange rentals through manager Ayana, they are sub-par, especially do not book jet ski rental with Island Concierge or "Matthew". You'll receive a broken unit & he'll threaten you to pay for repairs. He was very aggressive. We will not return.
