This bed and and breakfast is quite unlike anything you will have experienced before. It is like stepping back in time. It was exceptional in every way and Paul took time to answer questions about his extraordinary collection. This is a passion that he generously shares with his guests.

We received a warm welcome into this authentically Victorian residence , set in very pretty gardens. A good English breakfast (with vegetarian options)was provided .One could spend hours investigating the rooms , which were furnished with museum standard décor- so hopefully we will return to investigate further. Recommended for those seeking a unique and immersive historical experience, with modern conveniences of course

The atmosphere was very pleasant, impressed.
Amazing breakfast, never had like this before.
Everything was good

An extraordinary, very interesting house, a piece of art. In walking distance to the seaside, the center and several restaurants. Friendly service, big room, clean. Good breakfast. Easy parking.
The service at the breakfast could have been better. Breakfast is prepared for all three rooms of the house at one big table. However, our breakfast arrived with some delay and dishes of guest having had breakfast before us were not arranged in order to have a clean table.

This B&B is absolutely unique. It feels like stepping back in time and experiencing the Victorian age. The details are amazing. Although it is an old house it is very clean and comfortable. We had a great night sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Again in the most amazing dining room. Besides the unique setting Alexandr and Paul are very welcoming and perfect hosts. They are kind and were open to all our questions about the house. We will forever remember our stay here and hope to come back.
Nothing. Although if you are a modern human being in need of all modern comforts this B&B will not be for you. Otherwise we recommend to all!

The property itself is absolutely amazing, really has the wow factor from the minute you walk in. As an atheist I’m not particularly ‘into’ religious iconography, however, it’s still interesting like a museum. We stayed in The Old Nursery which is a beautiful room overlooking the garden and with a sea view. The bed was lovely and comfortable and there’s tea and coffee facilities in the room. In the morning we chose to have a full cooked breakfast which was absolutely delicious (only missed some baked beans but not a bit deal) I don’t know how those tomatoes were cooked but I could have eaten a plateful of those alone! All the staff we met are lovely, very gently spoken and calm which makes for a very welcoming environment.
Just wasn’t expecting the religious aspect but each to their own 🙂

Our stay was a once in a lifetime memory, like time travelling. We were greeted promptly and with kindness and the stay was magical and we had a try at the beautiful piano in the front room. Breakfast was superb and really - just go.
Nothing - it was all great and also so refreshing not to see ANY plastic for a whole 24 hours.

The host gave us a very friendly welcome and gave us a choice of rooms which was great as we were able to swap a double room for a twin room which was better for us. We are not big on breakfast but no complaints as there was plenty of food laid out in the cold buffet which suited us fine. Very interesting property full of antiques which was a pleasant change from our usual choice of staying in chain brand hotels. I would stay again if in the area.
The only thing was that the property was very dark inside but, I don't think there is anything that could be done as this was due to the style and interior which was very interesting.

St Benedict's has already been announced as a very special accomodation. It was great to stay there in the historic
house which has been furnished with so many lovely details. The visitor really feels to be in another century. Even the bathroom is historic and it was a bit surprising but it was absolutely perfect and extremely clean. The breakfast is great as well. It was an extraordinary stay.

The location is superb, close to the sea with plenty of parking spaces. The garden is amazing. Breakfast is very nice with plenty of choices. The place preserves original Victorian features & objects, which are delightful. My wife and I took some time to explore the place – It was like going back in time and you suddenly felt yourself in a different era. So much to look at! It's like a museum. The hosts are amazing - very attentive and polite
Nothing to dislike about this place - we enjoyed every minute of our stay!

This place was amazing! Cannot fault anything. From the minute we entered the b&b we were overwhelmed with how authentic it was. We were greeted by Paul who was extremely welcoming. Our room was fabulous, clean, and very comfortable. Will definitely visit again!

Very original atmosphere and decor. Fine breakfast. Very hospitable hosts.
An en suite bathroom would have been preferred. Our toilet flush was a tad violent!

The accommodation is outstanding. It is like stepping back in time. Amazing place! We were offered tea and homemade cake on arrival, which was a real treat. The bedroom was large and beautifully furnished, with a view over the garden. The area is very quiet and only 15 minutes walk from the high street. We were made extremely welcome.

The most wondrous place! It was like stepping into a different era, the whole house is lovingly decorated in the Victorian style with incredible attention to detail and full of treasures to discover. Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. There was so much to see, I wish we could have stayed a bit longer. The garden was also magical and a great place to sit and relax! Breakfast was served in an original Victorian dining room and everything was fresh and tasted great (really good coffee too). And our host Paul was lovely and helpful! We will be back!
Just that there wasn’t a shower a available in our bathroom (just a tub), but it definitely adds to the charm of the place that the facilities are also kept in the old Victorian style and it wasn’t really a problem!

Breakfast was very good. The real fascination with this B&B is the full-on Victoriana, which is outstanding. Everything was very high quality and the hosts very friendly. We loved it.
The bed was a little hard, but that’s a personal view.

Very well decorated. The owner’s clearly out a huge amount of work into it. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast.
