About this house rental
Welcome to the Mystical Beach Retreat, a modern coastal style house! Clean, modern and sunny 4 bedroom, 2 bath home with a NEW private HEATED saltwater pool. Perfect for couples and families! Contactless entry system and located on a quiet street. Free Wi-Fi! Vaulted ceilings in living room with over-sized windows, giving a spacious feel. The house has a large smart tv located in the living room. 4 BR each with a king bed and ceiling fan. Off the kitchen is a laundry room with HE washer/dryer. Open floor plan with fully equipped kitchen with island, granite countertops, stainless appliances: dishwasher, microwave, glass top electric range, refrigerator with ice maker. Dining and living area with sliding doors opening outside to our brand new heated pool with a paver deck that perfect for sun bathing! Comfortable king sized mattresses in each bedroom and quality linens. Parking for 4 cars is available on the driveway.
A short distance from the soft white sand beach (no cars section). Take Surf lessons from 'The Pit Surf Shop', rent surfboards or join their surf camp activities. Rent bikes from A1A Cycle works. The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought. Further south is Marineland where you can swim with dolphins!
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself!
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
The pool heater thermostat is set to a temperature between 78 and 85 degrees F, depending on the time of the year. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.

We had a wonderful stay at Mystical on our recent getaway to St. Augustine! The house was extremely clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood close to great food and activities. The pool in the backyard was perfect for our family to cool off and relax after a fun day sightseeing. Communication with owner was great and we will definitely come back again!

This was an amazing place to stay for a break for work and all the struggles we go thur in life. The property was great very nice neighborhood and the host was awesome. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great and relaxing vacation. The town is awesome and the private pool at the house is wonderful. Thank you for giving me and my family a wonderful experience and memory’s that will last a life time. Can’t wait to come back.

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much! The owner was wonderful and responsive when needed. The location of the property was wonderful and quiet. The neighborhood is family friendly and during walks we were able to see ducks and even deer. The beach was close and downtown Saint Augustine was just a short drive away. Our favorite place to be was in the backyard and pool! Amazing space to enjoy the sun and the kids enjoyed the little lizards. We highly recommend this property!

Excellent home but noisy since there are no area rugs. Sound bounces off floor, walls and ceiling. Would like the ability to put ones feet up.

Once again I was overly satisfied upon arriving at our vacation home from Mr David. The pictures did not do the home justice. The home was very clean. Check-in was easy as always and communication with the host was fast and direct. Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to anything you may need I would recommend this for friends, business or family getaways. We can't wait to schedule our next gathering here.

Unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to medical issues but this was an awesome place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood and clean and comfortable!

I can't say enough great things about this property. The property was clean and spacious. It has an amazing open floor plan, great for families. The beds were comfy and kitchen had everything we needed to make a meal. The pool was so nice to have and is a vision along with the entire backyard space. The location is great. It's nestled in a great neighborhood, great for walking, and we felt extremely safe. It is about a 5 minute drive to the beach and a 10-15 minute drive to food and Historic St. Augustine. Communication with the property manager was prompt, super easy, and a great experience. This was an amazing choice and we will be back.

The house was amazing. With king sized beds for all couples and an open concept, made it comfortable for all and easy to spend quality time together. It was only 15 minute from old town St. Augustine where we attended a wedding, went shopping, and visited one of the local distilleries. It was located close to Grocery stores and many wonderful restaurants. Although we didn't have much time for the pool because of all the other festivities we needed to attend, we highly recommend this property.

Friendly, quiet neighborhood with beautifully appointed bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms. Private slated pool and deck with fill table for outdoor fun. Felt like we were living in a dream house. Thanks for a fantastic weekend, I should have booked it for longer and we hated to leave!

This property was even better than pictured and described. The shots of the pool area do not do it justice. It is a lovely area to relax, swim and hangout.
The home is beautiful. The rooms are spacious. Decor is coastal.
One evening we had a severe thunderstorm that blew out the air conditioning system. The owner, David, responded immediately to our text and the system was working before we came home from dinner.
I highly recommend this property and these owners.

When we first stumbled upon this house on Vrbo, it seemed almost too good to be true. House was very clean, the pool was amazing; kitchen was compact and contained everything we needed. Pet friendly, great location; walking distance to the beach, and some outstanding restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay, this neighborhood and house is it.

We come to this area 3-4 times per year. This was our first time at this property but won’t be the last. The house is well stocked, close to the beach, and big enough for a large family to spread out and enjoy. Loved it

House is exactly as pictured in listing. Clean and comfortable, open LR/DR/kitchen. Big master with huge closet and bath. Pool and back yard are excellent - you may not want to leave for the beach! Note that beaches are a short drive away - not really walkable.

This place was amazing to stay and just relax with family and friends. We had a great time swimming in the beautiful and clean salt water pool! I highly suggest staying here, you will not regret it!

The house exceeded our expectations, which were already high given the pictures. The pool and patio area were the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon relax after a day at the beach. The fully fenced in backyard meant the dogs had somewhere safe to play. The house is in a lovely neighbourhood and is an easy drive to the beach. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to St Augustine. Thank you David and Patti for the wonderful stay and for always being just a phone call away.

The house is beautiful, very clean and updated!! Loved having four bedrooms with a king bed in each, definitely a luxury for our family of seven! Great communication with the property manager, too. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to St. Augustine.

This was greT for our family trip! We had 5 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of space! Very spacious. The backyard was not available to enjoy as there was pool construction during our stay which was not mentioned to us it would be ongoing, but understandable as a few of days there were weekdays…Would book again!
