We had a great time during our week at Highland Lake.
The property was just what we were looking for. The host was great to work with, quickly answering all our questions.
The lake and area are beautiful.

My three grandchildren went swimming and sun bathing and kayaking every day! My son in law brought his small boat and he and my grandson went fishing on the lake! All the adults hung out at the fire pit after dinner and we roasted marshmallows with the kids! We also went swimming! Water is so warm! Hope to rent again next year!

Great location, lake views, and beach area. Plenty of room inside. Kitchen updated and amenities plentiful. Bedrooms comfortable and clean with amazing views from the front 3. Air conditioning in the back 2 bunk rooms. Bathrooms updated and clean. Air conditioning downstairs thankfully!! Hot and humid for the entire week! Bridgton is a quaint town with everything you need within a short distance, including a hospital close by for medical care.

We absolutely loved our stay on the lake -- it was one of the most relaxing, low key family vacations we've had to date. The property itself was wonderful (the views are unmatched!) and the ability to walk right out the back door to our own private beach was amazing. The amenities were perfect for a family with young children -- a few that weren't mentioned in the listing were guard rails for the wooden bunkbeds, a permanently-installed baby gate at the top of the stairs and pool noodles/floats for the water. We also rented a crib from Casey Allison of BabyQuip, and recommend her as well for anyone else with young ones. We highly recommend this property, and can't wait to come back again.

This was what my family described as a perfect weekend. The house was amazing - so much room for my family of 10 (6 adults and 4 grandchildren 4 and under). The kitchen was big, updated, and full of everything you need. Two beautiful full bathrooms. The views of the beautiful lake from just about every room on the first a second floor. Private beach, life jackets for all sizes, sand toys, kayaks - I could go on. An absolute gem. My family wants to make this a yearly event. I’m in!!

We were in great need of an all-family get away after a really challenging year. This place had everything we needed: large beautiful yet sturdy house next to a gorgeous lake; peaceful and cozy; close to cute towns and outdoor activities; good for our dog; nice games and indoor amenities; lovely property owners who helped facilitate everythibg. We left feeling very restored!

Everything was great about this property. The house was clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed and more when we arrived. Highland Lake was the highlight of our trip. The lake is pristine and was great for swimming, kayaking, and boating. Bridgton and Naples were close by and offered great restaurants, shops and things to do on rainy days. Ben was communicative throughout the booking process and made everything easy for us. There had been a big storm in the area the week before our stay and Ben made sure that all was well with the property. If he had not told us before our stay, we would have never know. Overall it was a great experience and we'd definitely stay again

Overall this property was amazing. We had our extended family here for a week and there was plenty of room for all of us. Many updates throughout, and the home is stocked with many convenient extras from kitchen and bathroom items to life jackets. The kayaks were a bonus and used many times by us. The sandy beach area is perfect for swimming, and the firepit was great. The only perceived negatives, which aren't anyone's fault, were that the next door neighbors on the right side of the beach are extremely close, and there were people there all day every day. Also, as stated in the listing (but we didn't catch it), there are no laundry facilities in the home available for use. This was fine, we just had assumed there would be and should've packed adequately. Other than that, the place is awesome. Close to town, but didn't feel the busy-ness of in town living. The lake was also pretty quiet as well. We were able to rent a pontoon boat in town which was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great experience, Ben and family!

Highly recommend
6 adults, 6 kids between 4 and 8 years old, and 1 dog stayed at this property for a week and we loved it. Everyone just kept saying what a great spot it was. The beach was nice and sandy and prefect for the kids and dog to play and swim. They loved to swim out to the swim dock and jump off. The boat dock was plenty deep deep for my 21ft bow rider. We fished from the dock and caught some of the biggest bass i've seen on a daily basis. One of the kids alone caught over 20 fish (catch and release). The yard was a good size for some yard games, playing catch and those types of things. The house itself was updated and spacious. All the utensils, pots, pans, etc. That you could need was there. The water heater kept up with all 12 of us, good water pressure too!
Could have used a washer and dryer for cloths and towels, and maybe a few ACs in the bedrooms for warm nights but it certainly didn't take away from the wonderful experience we all had. Would 100% go back.

Perfect family vacation spot on Highland Lake!
My family and I rented this property for a vacation and it was perfect! The house was immaculate and very spacious. The property itself was amazing, with plenty of outdoor space for all. We especially enjoyed the backyard and sandy beach area. Ben was a pleasure to book with and helpful with any questions we had. I would highly recommend renting this property, it did not disappoint! A great time was had by all, including teens and elders!

Picture perfect lake house
We just spent a week here and it was such a wonderful stay that we’re already planning our visit for next summer. The lake was beautiful and warm. The sandy beach made for easy swimming and the dock was great for fishing. There were plenty of kayaks and a nice flat lawn to play on. The house was well stocked and super clean. We comfortably fit 8 adults and 2 children with room to spare. Ben was very quick to respond and extremely helpful as we planned for our trip. Thanks for a great stay!!

Family ski trip
This home was much better than expected. The rooms were large and spacious and accommodated our family of 9 adults. The kitchen and bathrooms were beautifully updated and had everything we needed. The view of the lake from the Kitchen, dining room and living room were spectacular! The 5 bedrooms, with beautiful updated bedding, provided more than enough space for our large group. The home provided privacy off of the main road, but close enough to local restaurants, Shawnee Peak Ski Mt, snow mobiling, and North Conway, all of which we availed ourselves to. We would definately recommend this home and hope to go back.

18th Annual Friends Pond Hockey Trip
Overall this was an excellent property for an annual friends pond hockey trip. The listing was accurate and the house was clean and well equipped. Our rental criteria is typically good access to ice for equipment, lots of beds and parking for vehicles and trailers. This house met all criteria. Ben was an excellent host and very responsive to questions. I would not hesitate to rent again. Thanks! -Mike
