Clean and comfortable! Close to grocery stores and metro station. The walks to the waterfront and the metro felt a little long, but that was more a result of the 100 degree heat than the distance. AC worked great though!

The home was as advertised, very charming in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to churches, shops, restaurants, and museums. It is well served by Uber; we kept getting the same driver. The house was very clean and well stocked with all of the essentials. I would stay here again when visiting the area.

This is a great location to visit DC. The home is clean and cute. Couple of things you should be aware of: there is only one and a half baths, sleeping 6 would be a ridiculous effort, both bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are challenging for anyone not in tiptop shape. Recommend if you are young and fit.

We enjoyed our stay very much, particularly the little back yard which was a great place to enjoy morning coffee. The house had everything we needed and was super close to the Metro Station. We’d stay here again.

We hope to stay here again in our future visits to Alexandria.

This house was great for our weekend get together in the DC area. It was small, but in a great location and exactly as described. It was an easy walk into the heart of old town Alexandria, and an easy walk to the Metro to get into DC.

We had a great time in DC on a family trip staying here. Walked to metro and restaurants daily. House had new appliances and fixtures and most everything we needed. Great fenced in yard for the boys to run around in. The beds were comfy.
The only things I wish I had known before I booked:
- it’s big enough for 2 adults and 2-3 kids. we had 3 adults, 2 kids, and an infant. There was a pack n play for the infant, but no other baby amenities.. we ended up bathing the baby by holding him in the shower - would’ve done it in the kitchen sink but there wasn’t a mixing bowl big enough. Also, for some reason I misread the listing and the sofa is NOT a pullout - our au pair ended up sleeping on the sofa in the living room, which was a biiit less than ideal. Wish there was at least a set of sheets to place on top for him. The other bed is a rope cot in the master bedroom on which you can put a twin air mattress. But since we wanted to sleep in separate spaces, we didn’t end up using that.
- it can get a bit warm upstairs during the summer. Even with the AC on 72, it felt hot upstairs. When the AC is lower, it’d be freezing downstairs and comfortable upstairs.
- a bit of an ant problem in the kitchen… they seemed to come in under the backdoor.. maybe the weather seal needs replacing.. we kept things pretty clean and still found new ants everyday.
Overall, we had a great time!

We had a great stay exploring Old Town Alexandria, Northern Virginia, and DC. The owner was very responsive and the home was clean and well equipped. Parking on the street was easy and the walk to the Braddock Metro was short.

Our family of 4 stayed here and it was a perfect choice! We truly enjoyed calling this "home" for a week.
The residence was clean, well stocked, the neighborhood felt safe, and we loved the proximity to grocery shopping, the King Street shops and restaurants, and the metro.
We do wish the kitchen had a few more items (tea kettle, wisk, and a wider selection of knives) but other than that - it was PERFECT!
We truly appreciated the prompt response from the owners for any questions that arose.
THANK YOU for making our visit to DC WONDERFUL!

Main bed was plenty comfortable. Water pressure (shower) is terrible. No soap, only body wash. I didnt watch tv but helped my kids connect to it - very tricky

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable home! It had everything we needed including a pack n play for our infant. The rooms were a good size. We could fit an inflatable toddler bed in one room and the pack n play in the other. We loved that it had a backyard. The home was very clean. It was an easy walk to the main streets with shopping and dining. It was also easy to park in front of the home. It was nice to be able to walk around the corner to Chewish Deli for bagels and Starbucks for coffee. The hosts were easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to visit the Alexandria/DC area!

Great communication from the owner throughout our planning and stay. The property is small (consistent with the neighborhood) but well appointed. The location is top notch with easy access to Old Town Alexandria, Downtown, Del Ray, and so forth.

The property is very much as advertised. It is small, but very clean, well equipped, and in a great location. Our party was only 3--my husband, myself, and our adult son, so we had enough room. Very short walk to restaurants, grocery and liquor stores, etc. On-street parking was easy to find within a couple of houses of the property with the pass provided. The host was extremely responsive to the one issue we had (wanting to stay one extra night). I highly recommend this property.

My husband, 17-year-old son, my son’s friend, and I stayed here for four nights. To save money, we were able to eat breakfast each morning before we left to tour DC and Alexandria, and we cooked dinner two nights. I loved drinking my coffee on the porch each morning. The kitchen was well-stocked for basic cooking. We loved the location because it was an enjoyable 15 minute walk to Kings Street in Alexandria and a 10-15 minute walk to the metro to get into DC. It was perfect for us! I highly recommend staying in this cozy, beautifully decorated townhouse.

At the onset, pre-booking phase, Carrie was very responsive with our questions. Property is exceptionally well-kept and located in close proximity to restaurants, coffee shops and the centerpiece, King Street. Thank-YOU for making our stay pleasant. We will seek this property in the future. A. Torres

Family stay long weekend
Spent Memorial Day weekend here. We flew into dca airport and picked this house based on location from there. House was one metro stop from airport then about 5-10 minute walk with 2 kids. On the weekend we took the metro into Washington which was easy. House was overall clean and exactly as advertised. Location was overall good for us but if you’re looking for a place with nighttime activities you have to go one metro stop further into Alexandria.
Owners set up prior to check in was easy and had no issues (so had no contact with owner other than that). If you have a car you need a parking pass which owner would supply if necessary

Super property, location & hosts
We so enjoyed spending our Alexandria holiday in this very recently remodeled house (I.e., new appliances, new bathroom fixtures, newly painted, etc.). Great location, much quieter than King St and within walking distance of the river, good restaurants, Trader Joes. The mall in DC was a 15-minute drive away. And, Carrie was the most thoughtful host I’ve experienced on VRBO. Highly recommended.
