Come find rest and relaxation at River Haven. Our beautiful new cottage is located directly on the banks of the Chauga River and is secluded within 10 acres.

The cottage is light and airy with large windows and high ceilings throughout for viewing the river and surrounding area. The cozy, well appointed living space provides a complete kitchen, master bedroom, living area with sleeping sofa, and bath. In addition to the beautiful indoor space, two porches and a hammock area are available to enjoy the rushing river sounds. A riverside firepit and sitting area will also provide an excellent opportunity for relaxation.

Visitors of River Haven, will enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking, and swimming in front of the cabin or simply curling up with a book listening to the river. Also you may experience the thrill of Chattooga White Water rafting just 15 minutes from the cottage.

If you enjoy hiking, nearby waterfalls provide for wonderful hiking opportunities. Boating and skiing activities can also be enjoyed on nearby Keowee, Jocassee, and Hartwell lakes. Other areas of interest nearby are Chattooga Belle Farm Distillery & Vineyards, Clemson University Tiger football, Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, Duke Power World of Energy, antiquing, and shopping just to name a few.

Loved the house and the view. The river was very soothing. The only drawback was the ruts in the road which my car couldn’t navigate so I got stuck. The owners kindly called a tow truck for me.

The property is literally just how it’s pictured. So cute very modern house with so much privacy and an insanely gorgeous view. We only left the place once to go see some waterfalls and the Stumphouse Mountain Tunnel(I highly suggest checking it out) and the rest of the days I floated on a float and my boyfriend fished right there in the backyard. We spent the evenings by the fire pit and enjoying listening to the creek on the swing and hammock. Will absolutely be returning. Just a heads up the driveway is pretty steep and I would suggest doing what we did and just bringing a couple coolers with groceries. 10/10 29th birthday trip.

My husband took the kids here for a little getaway before starting back at school. They thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids were able to spend most of their time in the river either floating or fishing. They caught several fish every day.

The property was absolutely beautiful. It was the relaxing getaway we were looking for. Went white water rafting about 20 min away and just down the road was a 1 mile hike to falls and swimming hole. Also fished and played in the river on the property grounds. Phone service/wifi was hit or miss on the property, but disconnecting was not necessarily a bad thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

The property was breathtaking. No matter which window you looked out you were surrounded by the forest and some directions you could almost reach out and touch the slow flowing river. I am one that loves to cook however, on this trip, I did not but the kitchen had everything you could imagine .Utensils, dishes, pots, and pans , bottle openers. The bathroom had plenty of towels and face cloths. To side porches were fantastic citronella candle to keep away the bugs in the evening Floor to ceiling windows in the living room and the bedroom. You were so secluded that it felt like you could almost reach out and touch the stars. They were so brilliant you could lay in bed and look out the top windows and see the moon. I cannot say enough about this property. I stayed in many VRBO’s. it took a while for me to get the television to work. That was not a drawback for me because I wanted to get away from the city and social media. There were plenty of information sheets supplied be sure to go to Steph’s steaks. Owners originally from Philadelphia this place had the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had in South Carolina and I have been living here for 10 years shout out to them. This contemporary cabin, a Clayton Homes i-house, is the perfect size for a couple and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. A gated private road through hilly woods leads to this peaceful, private, and secluded property on the banks of the Chauga River. The setting is very quiet other than the sound of water rushing over the shallow rapids. River Haven is a relaxing, romantic, enjoyable vacation.

This is a quiet location and so peaceful! My teens had a great time exploring the river and we were close enough to all sorts of other great adventures to visit many places. The house was super clean with amazing views.

We were looking for a quiet spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and this was exactly what we were looking for! We spent our days exploring waterfalls and relaxing in our hammocks along the river. We really enjoyed the coziness of the house, the campfire by the river, and a quick trip for rolled ice cream. Would highly recommend!

My husband, our youngest daughter and I came into town for a lovely Easter getaway from the noise of Charleston. We have a lovely time enjoying nature and the sights and sounds of the river. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again! Many thanks!

This was the most adorable and peaceful place I have ever stayed. I loved hearing the river and the large windows with such a beautiful view. Everything was cozy and clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed I had ever slept on. I truly enjoyed every minute I was there and wish I had been able to spend more time. I didn't get any phone service while at the property but it was actually nice because it forced me not to use it and I could just relax and be at peace. I hope to stay again.

We loved the cabin! Was so quiet and scenic, many nice touches to make the cabin feel like home. We saw a lot of wildlife, including deer - drive slow! Would definitely stay here again :)

We were in town visiting our daughter at Clemson and going to the football game. This cabin was very nice. It is a quite secluded and next to a small river. It is located down a long gravel driveway with curves and steepish grades. We didn’t have cell service their on our T-Mobile phones but the cabin did have a cell booster so we could have some data. The cabin was very well designed and furnished. It was about 30 minutes from campus and 15 minutes from a main town with shopping and dining. We didn’t have a lot of time in the cabin beyond sleeping, but we would have loved to spend more time there since it was so nice and there were many places outside to enjoy sitting by the river, on the two porches or by the fire. I would recommend this getaway for anyone.

This place is perfect. Secluded, yet close enough to anything needed. We enjoyed the quiet and calm, the river felt amazing and the grounds of the entire property in and out are well kept and beautiful. A real treat for anyone looking to stay in the area. We were here for our daughters drop off at Clemson University and it was approximately 20 minutes to the college from this house. Couldn’t ask for a better or more convenient spot! Fantastic all around 5 stars!

This property is a hidden gem! We had state championship over the weekend in Clemson and decided to stay at river haven instead of a hotel. The cabin is small but perfect! The property is very clean and secluded. The kids had a blast playing in the river! We cant wait to book it again!

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay here. You drive in and it is absolutely serene. The cabin is thoughtfully decorated and appointed. The property is beautiful and private. The host was responsive and prompt. We spent time on the river and watched people kayaking. It was so peaceful. If you are looking for somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle this is your place! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Two adults, two children. Ages seven and 11. The house was very comfortable and the AC worked perfect! We spent all of day two in the river. We were able to tie our a river float on a low hanging tree for all day use. The current was not heavy at all. Both kids could go get in the water by themselves and stand waist deep in the water all of the way up to the third rock bed. Though be mindful after a rain, that does change. Bring a kayak and take a VERY quiet and relaxing stroll with no current at all. The front porch was prefect. Took a nice nap out there and drank my coffee out there every morning. There are neighbors and they want their privacy just like you would so just know if you see a house, that is all you will see. It was super quiet and checked every box on our list. It was also nice having firewood available as we used the fire pit all day, everyday. There is a hose out back that we used to clean our feet before going in the house. If you live close and have a five gallon bucket for dipping your feet before going inside, bring it to save water. And if your like me, I appreciated the cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc. It was nice to be home, away from home.

The property was exactly as listed. May be the cleanest property we have stayed at through Vrbo. Perfect for our family of 3 to relax for a few days, caught some fish, and spent the night by the campfire. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This cabin, nestled into the woods along the Chauga River, is a perfect spot for all of the outdoor activities available in Upstate South Carolina. Great back porch for relaxing and reading, or simply listening to the river.

We really enjoyed our stay at River Haven. It was a perfect setting next to the river and quiet, yet close to Seneca/Clemson for getting out in town. It was nice having firewood ready to go for the fire pit, which is right next to the river for relaxing and enjoying the night skies. Great host and overall experience!

Beautiful property and location! We couldn't have been more happy with the cabin and will be back again! My only notation for future guests is there a dog that greeted us (not sure who it belonged too) at the gate and would jump and nip at us each time we came and went (bite us each once) - very friendly but was unprepared for that..

This is the best little cabin, perfect communication with owner, fully stocked kitchen and bath. All essentials needed for a perfect getaway. We loved it! Adorably decorated with all the modern conveniences! We will be definitely staying here again.

Really cute home with everything a small family could need for a short vacation. Such a beautiful location right on the river- and the outside amenities like the porches, fire pit area, riverside area, and yard were just as well kept and fun as the home itself. We went with the specific plan to get a Christmas tree on a local farm, and there were several really great Christmas tree farm options within 30 minutes’ drive.
