This beautiful home is located with a view of the world famous Makaha Surf Beach, which is where surf and canoe contests are held throughout the year. In the 1960s Makaha was the epicenter for big-wave surfing. It was where the groundwork was laid for surfing contests in Hawaii and all over the world. As opposed to the North Shore of Oahu where the surf is also renowned, one does not have to contend with traffic in Makaha from tourist buses and crowds. Makaha is still untouched and the perfect destination for visitors who want to experience the Hawaii of long ago, while still being on the same island where all of the top restaurants and shops are.
Immediately in front of the property is a small white sand beach, interesting reef and tidal pools and two spectacular blow holes.
Since this home is on the water and in line with the cool breezes that come down from Makaha Valley, and since this is a newer home achitecturally designed to ensure cool comfortable living, although AC is available, it's best to keep the windows and doors open to enjoy the delicious tropical air Hawaii is known for.
The property is near the new Aulani Disney resort, Ko'Olina Four Seasons Hotel & Resort, world class golf courses, lots of dining and shopping options, and the perfect setting for a multitude of outdoor sports (surfing, paddle boarding, canoe, kayaking, snorkeling, boating, swimming with dolphins, hiking) There are daily sightings of turtles and dolphins just feet away from the shoreline, along with the seasonal sight of whales directly in front of the house.
The 360 degree view of both the mountains and ocean are breathtaking. At night visitors will enjoy a rare sight of a multitude of stars from the upper deck. This custom designed home and professionally landscaped property is very private, pristine and comfortable.
Rates will vary depending upon the number in your party, the length of your stay, and the season.
It is located 35 mins from the airport, 10 mins from the nearest hospital, 5 mins from a choice of 3 supermarkets, and management is a few doors down the street.
CURRENT CANCELLATION POLICY
The reason for our current cancellation policy is due to people booking and then canceling within a month or two, which causes issues for us to re-book within that amount of time frame, since w do offer our guests time to make payments if need be. With that said, our POLICY is to refund 2/3rd of the full price of the stay, which leaves 1/3 is non-refundable if you cancel two months before your stay. Instead losing any funds, you can be credited for another date in the future that is not booked if you do decide to cancel.

We had a fantastic family reunion at this wonderful home, accommodating ages ranging from 74 to 6. The adults thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking sunsets, while the kids had a blast in the pool. Everyone loved the convenience of being able to walk to the beach right from the house.
Since it was the first time for most of the family to visit Oahu, they were absolutely delighted to spot sea turtles from the balcony and encounter them at the nearby beaches. The sunsets were truly mesmerizing, and we made it a point to gather every evening to appreciate their beauty. Needless to say, we captured countless Instagram-worthy sunset photos and even created some stunning time lapse videos.
Thanks Yong! Hope to make it back someday

Ocean waves lapping on the shore 24/7. Sea turtle and whale sightings every day. Perfect sized pool for our grandkids ages 4-11. Rooftop deck great for viewing nighttime stars. Plenty of parking spaces. Incredible sunsets. Master bedroom has sliding glass door onto deck and ocean. We loved every minute of our stay.

It was all that we could have hoped for and more. The home was spacious and inviting and the beautiful ocean views were spectacular. The kids loved the pool and the hot tub and our hist Yong was amazing. We were greeted with a traditional Hawaiian welcome that put the icing on the cake. We all hated to leave this beautiful piece of Paradise.q

Awesome Stay
We loved loved loved our stay! The house and hosts/property manager were amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. We had plenty of space, plenty of amenities, and would definitely stay again. We loved the public beach close by. The only reason I do not give this property a perfect score is because of the location on the island. We felt safe in the house and going to beach however it is a must to lock all doors ..the surrounding area leading up to property is definitely sketchy. We have never been to Oahu so I was told the actual entire island you have to be super careful as there is A LOT of theft.. this area particular. We were told multiple times by multiple people the area around is not the greatest. The house is covered in security features and we had no issues but if you are not comfortable with driving or staying in a questionable area..this part of the island may not be for you. I myself felt the host exceeded in trying to make the house feel safe so I would stay here again..but we definitely had a lot of conversations with our kids regarding safety and different life styles which at the end of the day is not a bad thing..it was just unexpected. This location is about an hour away from anything touristy….which is good and bad. We just had to plan everything around that. Overall..looking back at our stay..I preferred that anyways.

Beautiful vacation
Makaha Beach house was exceptional! Our multi generation family was able to spread out and fit comfortably. The children thoroughly enjoyed the pools and the grounds of the house. The views are amazing! We saw turtles, whales, seals, so many interesting things. The location is a bit far from popular tourist spot but it wasn’t as big of deal because we enjoyed seeing the local life and getting to know the locals. Definitely hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. John and Yong were available whenever we needed them and super responsively with everything. Daryl was also very helpful! Thank you for making our dream vacation possible!

Perfect home for large, extended family getaway
The pictures tell it all. House was incredible, perfect for our large family vacation ages ranging from 17-80, 11 of us total. We did not want to leave. It is large enough for everyone to spread out for the occasional much needed alone time, but capable for everyone to be together, too. Mari is the most gracious hostess, answered all our questions promptly during our 1.5 year planning stage and all the way to the end of our stay. We would definitely recommend! Thank you, Mari!!

Hotel quality
This property has an amazing local vibe. it is a 5 minute walk from a cove where turtles swim and you can watch the sun set. It is centrally located so you can drive to the sights and Honolulu and the North shore in less than an hour. it is close to boat excursions, Disney, and some amazing beaches. Makua beach is a hidden gem , 4 miles away and not crowded.
There is everything you need at the house for beach trips and a well stocked kitchen. The house is every bit as beautiful as the pictures show. The bedding is hotel quality and the rooms big and light. There were 12 of us and after a big family breakfast we would take separate day trips, meeting back at the house for time in the pool and to sit on the deck and enjoy the ocean and sunset. We all went to Germaine's luau, less than 25 minute drive and well worth it. Great house, Great trip!

A Perfect Dream!
After planning our trip for 4 years and having to put it off each year for one reason or another (including COVID), fifteen members of my family stayed in a perfect house to make my 70th birthday dream come true. The house is large enough for every family to have its own space, somewhat isolated from the other families. We were able to meet for meals and games with children but have privacy when we wanted it.
The outdoor areas are delightful--the long upper porch and the pool patio were our favorite places to hang out at meals.
Don't let the map frighten you away. True, the location is a little far from North Shore and from Honolulu, but the drive wasn't bad, and we were always glad to get back to the gorgeous house, which felt like home from the minute we first entered.
The host is wonderful--so helpful and friendly. The trip was a long time coming, but she was with us to patiently answer all our questions through all the plans that had to be canceled, changed, and rearranged. Stay here and your Hawaii dreams can come true, too!

Phenomenal Host and Home
We have used VRBO since its inception in 1995 This property is without a doubt the best property, location, and host we have ever experienced. We split up our week with island excursions including swimming with dolphins and turtles, parasailing, outrigger canoe surfing, Kualoa Ranch (Jurassic Park), Oahu's North Shore, and Waikiki, and my family totally agreed that the complete days we spent at this house were the best days of our trip. To be able to relax in the pool and surrounding decks was incredible. Mari, the host made certain everything was perfect for our visit. We spoke via text with any question we may have had concerning local restaurants, food shopping, etc., and she was spot on with her answers, she was very prompt with her replies. If you are planning a trip to Oahu, this property needs to be at the top of your list. However, be patient as it is booked out for some time to come but trust me, it is worth the wait.

Unforgettable Sunsets, Spacious Home & Great Owner
We loved this house which perfectly fit our multigenerational family. It was spacious, well stocked, and well maintained. Mari is wonderful! She is super helpful, a great communicator, and responds quickly to questions or problems. We loved the backyard pool and jetted tub. We enjoyed lounging on the pool chaises in complete privacy as the property is nicely gated. We ate dinner outside every night in order to observe the gorgeous sunsets and hear ocean waves crashing against the rocks. Our family enjoyed this little slice of heaven in a local neighborhood. We took long walks around the area, visited Turtle beach, and explored other local beaches. We visited nearby Kahumana Farms twice for their farmers market and farm-to-table experience. We were looking for a spacious home where our family could reconnect after a year apart and also enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. Mari's Makaha home fit the bill perfectly! Can't wait to return! Thank you for everything, Mari!

The Most Amazing Stay!
What can I say about this property? It was the most amazing stay. We had two families, with 8 kids ages 10 and under, and there was room to spare! The house was immaculate, Mari is super responsive and sweet and made us feel right at home, and the views and yard are spectacular. Right down the road is a trail that leads to turtles! The yard is completely fenced and gated so it feels like your own compound, which is perfect when you have little ones playing outside. The neighborhood is quiet and you will be among locals...hardly any tourists around here. For us, that was perfect because we wanted to be isolated with the pandemic going on. The kitchen is fully stocked and there’s even a second kitchen downstairs which was great. The garage was stocked with any and all beach toys you could ever need and the kids were in heaven with the boogie boards! Overall we could not be more happy with our stay here and would love to come back and stay next time we are on Oahu. Thank you Mari!

A little slice of heaven
Our family of ten spent two glorious weeks at this property in March ‘20. The house was nicely appointed, clean and really well maintained, with a million view! Mari was a lovely host, attentive and accommodating. And the feel of salty breeze on my skin, smell of the ocean and sound of waves crashing agains volcanic rocks will forever be etched in my mind....

My family just spent a week in this beautiful home enjoying a fabulous view and comfortable home. Our children and grandchildren helped us celebrate my husband and my 50th wedding anniversary. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for our family of 12. Mari was a dream to work with, always pleasant and helpful. She provided information for all our requests promptly and graciously. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. MAHALO MARI!

65th Anniversary
Our family gathered together to celebrate my parent's 65th wedding anniversary and this Makaha home set a beautiful backdrop for their Vow Renewal Ceremony. The home held 13 adults and 3 children comfortably and provided all the amenities we needed. The top deck was the perfect spot to star gaze at night and the pool was constantly in use by all. The sunsets were beautiful and we watched them daily. Mari was very helpful in providing us with the information we needed and kept in touch during our stay to make sure that everything was going well. This was our second family trip to Oahu and we are so glad that we chose to stay in Makaha.

Great house and view
We had a great week staying here. The house was really clean and had a great view. The owner was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. The house is on the locals side of the island and not in an upscale tourist location. The kitchen upstairs was fully stocked but the one downstairs could use a few more utensils and supplies. All the beach equipment being available for us to use was a really nice bonus.

Everything we hoped for
We had a great 7 day stay! The house suited us very well. Although we were not able to meet her personally, Mari was wonderful through the whole process… from booking, making our payments, answering all our questions, giving us suggestions as to what to do and see, helping us secure a baby-sitter, and expeditiously returning our security deposit.
We were looking for a house that
1. Could accommodate our whole family in a single place. We had 8 adults and 8 kids, ages 6 months to 11 years old.
2. Had an ocean view
3. Had a swimming pool
4. Was close (short walking distance) to beaches
This house filled the bill perfectly! Everyone thought it was ideal.
These are the things we liked about the property:
• The grounds are beautiful (The pictures in the listing accurately show what it looks like)
• Great view! The ocean waves crash on its rocky beach
o We saw whales migrating by. Some even breached.
o Turtles swam around the rocky beach
• The pool was very nice and accommodated us well. The waterfall is lovely.
• Makaha Beach is a very short walk away to the north
• Aki’s Beach (I think that is the name) is a very short walk away to the south. The neighbors were calling it turtle beach or turtle cove. We could see turtles swimming around and in the late afternoon a couple came out on the beach and sunned themselves
• The house had enough room for our whole group to sleep, eat, and congregate comfortably
• The property is not in a resort/tourist area. It is in a primarily residential area. But there are a lot of things nearby
o This may not be to everyone’s liking, but it suited us well and all of the adults felt this was a huge positive. Even though we were there during mainland spring break, the beaches nearby had very few people there.
o The harbor, about a 10 minute drive away, had snorkeling adventures and surfing lessons available, which some of us took advantage of
o Luau at Paradise Cove is about a 25 minute drive away

A PRICELESS VIEW!
We had our family (10 total) stay there for vacation. We were so happy with the place and the pictures do not do justice on how great the view and location is. Some nights I had to close the window because you are so close to the ocean. We were planning to stay 7 nights and then move to Honolulu, but loved it so much there that we extended the 2 days and skipped Honolulu. Why go to Honolulu when you can pretty much grill your own meals and have the same view as Dukes? It was hard to leave. Also, Mari was very friendly and would always respond and answer calls if there were any concerns. We had a few requests during the trip and she was able to fulfill them right away. If you want a place to get 100% enjoyment of the island, I highly recommend this place.

Great property for large or multiple families
We really enjoyed this rental for 12 days in February. The property is very well stocked if you want to do some gourmet cooking. Tons of beach chairs, coolers and toys. There was even a basket of sunscreens. The views of the ocean are unbeatable - whales going by all day long. Makaha beach to the north is a 2-minute walk and gets pretty big surf. We found the beach a short drive to the south to be more suitable for some younger children in our party. I can't speak highly enough of the property manager and her local manager. They were so responsive and had fantastic suggestions for how to spend our time.
This side of the island is very quiet and about an hour drive to Honolulu or the North Shore. We went on a few day trips but mostly stayed close to home. Lots of great hikes nearby as well.
Overall, I highly recommend this property if you want to get away from the crowds and stay in an area that is authentic Hawaii.

Paradise Found
Stop looking and book with Mari ASAP! This property is Paradise. From the first conversation to the final tear filled goodbyes, Mari is first class. The staff, the home, the grounds, not enough can be said to describe how wonderful Mari and her team make you feel. 5 stars in not enough for this team and property. I would recommend Mari and her home to anyone. My family and I can't wait for a return visit. Thank you Mari!!

Wonderful house and fantastic view
Thirteen of us gathered together in this great house to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. From 2 to 72, everyone enjoyed the amenities this house provided. We found most everything as advertised, and very clean. The waterfall in the pool was broken during our stay - but the pool was still enjoyed by all. The view from the lanai could not be beat and we enjoyed watching the sunsets. We were even able to see turtles and whales. There was lots of pool toys, beach toys, boogie boards and beach chairs for our use. One complaint we had is that the washer and dryer were on separate floors so a laundry basket would have been nice. Other than that everything we needed was provided.

A perfect dream vacation for our family of 10
My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 50th with our two daughter’s families in paradise. Everything, including the sunsets, was just as it was shown in the listing. The house was perfect. The weather was great. And the beaches and snorkeling fantastic. Even had two rare seal sightings 10 ft from shore on Makaha beach. Honu swam right next to my daughters at Makaha beach, and we sighted them daily. We have some great memories and want to go back.

Exceeded my expectations
I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. My interactions with Mari were pleasant and extremely helpful. Having someone who is familiar with the area and willing to help proved to be invaluable. Thanks Mari! I found the house to be immaculate inside and out. The rooms are very spacious with plenty of closet space. The living area is filled with comfortable furniture that is arranged perfectly to provide an excellent view of the beach. We took full advantage of both kitchens and was pleasantly surprised to find the upstairs kitchen was fully stocked with all the spices and utensils needed to prepare our meals. If you, like me, prefer to cook outdoors, the barbeque grill is large, clean and ready to go. I was able to cook four large steaks, corn on the cob, three large Portobello mushrooms and asparagus simultaneously. The ceiling fans throughout the house kept us cool at night which allowed us to turn off the A/C and enjoy the sound of the waves crashing on the shoreline. The second floor deck provides the perfect place to enjoy meals and take in the beautiful sunsets. There’s an exterior spiral staircase which leads to the upper deck that provides a great view of the stars at night and the lush mountains during the day. There were plenty of lounge chairs on both decks and around the pool to relax on and perfect one’s tan or enjoy a good book. The nearby beaches were practically empty and the storage room stocked with boogie boards, snorkels, fins, goggles, and ice chests came in handy on our day trips to the beach. I will definitely return to this gorgeous house when I return to Oahu.

Great comfortable spacious place :-)
Some friends and I decided to forgo the hotel scene this year and rented this vacation house on Oahu. It turned out to be a great idea. We had this huge clean house right on the beach, away from all the tourist nonsense in Waikiki. Yet could still be in Honolulu or North shore within an hour. We had two kitchens and a barbecue which enabled us to eat healthier, it was much less expensive as well. We had a fabulous golf course 5 minutes away that was super reasonable, with very few others on it and we had great beaches near us to surf or snorkel. We will definitely return someday and next time bring a few more friends, as it could accommodate more people quite easily. Oh, and the upper deck was a fabulous way to end each day star gazing. This is definitely the way to hang out in Oahu!

This place was fantastic! My husband and I decided to take my parents to Oahu for their 50th wedding Anniversary, as well as my Aunt and Uncle...for their 52nd Anniversary and my Mother-in-law, for her 72nd birthday. When looking online, it was overwhelming to try and find something that would accommodate all of us and allow us all to be together, yet have our own space. Then, my husband came across this listing. When I initially reached out to Mari, she responded immediately and was SO helpful throughout the entire process. It was so important for me to make this trip "special" for our families and Mari helped me do that every step of the way. She was in constant communication before the trip, sending us links on things to do and where to go. While we were there, if I had a question, she responded immediately. The girls that take care of the day to day things at the house were absolutely fantastic. Mari and her team were nothing short of amazing. I was really impressed. This home is located on the "country" side of the island, so it's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It is peaceful and quiet and the views are UNBELIVABLE! You get the mountains and the ocean all in one place. The house was stocked with everything you could need to go to the beach or cook with or to lounge around the pool. We bought all kinds of things at Costco that we didn't need like spices, toilet paper, etc. It's all there. My husband and I travel a decent amount an enjoy seeing new places. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to take our families here and make special memories together. Whether it was exploring the island together, visiting the beaches, swimming in the pool or just sitting on the balcony together taking it all in...it was all amazing. My family called it "Their trip of a Lifetime". That means more to me than I can even put into words. I thank Mari and her staff again for being a part of such a significant time in our lives. Mahalo!

Our family of 11 included ages 10 to 68. The property provided everything we could need, plus lots of space to enjoy. We saw whales and turtles right from the Lanai every day. The pool was a huge hit. A pristine white sand beach was a few minutes walk. Best of all, we were away from all the noise and traffic. We highly recommend this to families who want an exceptional family experience. This would truly be the dream house liday for ant family. Thank you more than I can say!

My family and I have been renting vacation houses since 1983. This was one of the top 2 or 3 if not the best for many reasons. The photos do not do justice to the views which along the coast on Oahu are fabulous. Mari has provided the basis for a pleasant Hawaiian experience including beach supplies as well as many kitchen basics so travelers don't have to bring things from home. The ocean front has a sandy area between the wall and rocky beach, which has one or two interesting blow holes. We were able to see dolphins in front. and sea turtles just down the street in Turtle Cove. Makaha Beach is nearby (3 minutes by car), and there are nice, usually uncrowded beaches towards the north. The location is perfect if you do not want the crowded areas of Honolulu or Waikiki. We toured all over the island, never more than 1 1/4 hours away from various activities. The older grandkids took surf lessons from a local shop.
The house itself when we checked in was immaculate. Everything was up to our high standards. The grandkids lived in the pool when not at the beach. The only issue was with the power gate, and Mari had someone there almost at once. My experience with Mari is that she is very concerned with our comfort and pleasure not only at the house, but also with our entire Hawaiian stay. She provided many links to activities, plus a myriad of books and pamphlets at the house.
I would and have recommended the beach house at Makaha to some friends. My family would return there if we are so fortunate to spend another vacation in Hawaii.
Mahalo, Mari.

We had a glorious family vacation in this wonderful house! The Makana Beach house was immaculate, and Mari and her amazing team made sure that every detail was seen to and perfect. When we had a question, we got an immediate answer and when there were a very minor issue with the grill, Jenny was there immediately to help! Mari shared great local information well before our visit, so we could plan and be prepared for any attractions we wanted to see. The house also had several guide books, which we used daily! The views were unbelievable with the exciting Pacific front and center from the deck and lanai, , and the mountains from the other. We enjoyed the pool daily, and the swimming beach was a short walk or drive away. We would gladly return will recommend this fantastic home to friends and family. Thank you for making sure our first visit to Hawaii was so wonderful!!!

Our family of 11 - from baby to great grandmother spent 11 days enjoying this wonderful home. Each family had its own space, while enjoying the large living room, dining room and kitchen. Our daily activities included a walk to the nearby cove to see the turtles, and the family gathering on the rock wall above the beach to watch the sun go down. We spent many hours in the pool. The home is very elder friendly and very child safe. We appreciated the prompt responses from Mari and her staff. We enjoyed being away from the tourists and enjoyed the local community. It was a fun place to spend Christmas and New Year!

14 friends and family gathered to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Plenty of room for everyone, never felt crowded and it was nice to have so many bathrooms. The views from the deck were fabulous. The pool and jet tub were enjoyed by many. We had 3 vans so we all just went wherever and when ever we wanted, but always gathered back at "our house" in the evenings to enjoy it all. The house was immaculate, Mari was a joy to work with.. We would come back anytime!

32 years ago, My husband and I promised to take our family to Hawaii when our oldest graduated from high school. It was a promise I hadn't fulfilled, but at age 72, I knew it was time. There were 9 of us, including 2 eleven year olds. We couldn't have picked a better spot - away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki; a great surf/snorkel/swim beach 1/2 a block away; close to a grocery store and other amenities; super house, although we spent most of our time on the decks or in the pool. We delighted in watching turtles and porpoise from the yard. We hiked the local trails; toured the Dole Plantation; attended the fabulous Paradise Valley Luau; zip-lined, swam, and shopped at the North Shore; shopped in Waikiki, and spent several hours touring Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Monument A MUST SEE. After a busy day of people and traffic, it was a real delight to return to our Makaha Beach House - to the solitude and privacy that we all so enjoyed! The pool and hot tub were clean, the house was immaculate, and the grounds were lovely. Mari was marvelous as a "landlord," and we can't thank her enough for allowing us to share her Hawaiian "treasure." If we ever get to return, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. We enjoyed the very best of Hawaiian sunsets, as we all lined up and sat atop the wall in the backyard, watching the slow demise of the day. I don't have a moment's hesitation about highly recommending this awesome "retreat." Thanks again, Mari!!

We were at the house for a week, celebrating our 50th Anniversary, with our whole family. There were 12 of us ranging in age from 72 to 13. This house was a great fit, with plenty of room inside and out. Having a pool was a must, and the big deck upstairs had a large table where we could play games every night. The house and yard are very clean and Mari was wonderful to do business with. We loved the area and the beaches were very close, either walkable or about a 7 minute drive. We felt like we were on private beaches, loved not having to deal with wall to wall people. We really enjoyed Waianae, for its local culture and the people we met there. Mari had recommended West Oahu SUP for surf lessons and they were terrific. If you want to stay in a great house with an owner who really cares about the clients, then this is the house for you. I can not think of one thing that was not taken care of. This house gave you plenty of room to be together or you could find a quiet place to be alone for awhile. The views from the house are breath taking and you just might see a turtle swim by. Just a note: if you want the best pancakes you have ever eaten stop by Hannara's and try the macadamia nut, coconut and banana pancakes without syrup, truly a heavenly experience.

We just returned from a week vacation at the Makaha Beach House. We absolutely love this house! It was our second stay, having stayed a week in 2014, and I should have written a review then. It would have been repeated here. The house is so spacious, beautiful and clean. We were 9, 7 adults and 2 children (3yrs and 1 yrs), and there was ample room for all. We had previously visited Honolulu and didn't like the crowds and noise of all the visitors and the high prices due to all the tourists. So we looked very hard for something away from the crowds, more with the island feel, clean & maintained and a feeling of safety. We found it with this house. The house is well equipped for almost anything you want to do, a beautiful beach up the road, a secluded cove with sea turtles. The Pool! Love the pool, it is the right temperature and after running around or just wanting to swim it is the best. We cooked and grilled most nights. We especially loved having breakfast on the lanai. The waves were spectacular the week we were there. We have visited before and don't do tours anymore so hanging at the house is perfect for us. Although the younger adults liked taking a ride to Haleiwa and also took the little ones to the Dole Plantation to ride the train it was an hour or so trip. Go early and the crowds aren't so bad. Leave about 8:00 in the morning and the traffic isn't bad, be back before 5 and you won't get caught in the go home traffic. Mari, the owner, is so gracious and responsive. We had a problem with one of the blinds and she was there the next day to measure and have it replaced. She takes very good care of the house and it is has just about anything you would need for your visit. Mari is the best! We highly recommend this house for those wanting a place away from the crowds, a place to relax and enjoy a home away from away. Our 3-year old grandson called it our Hawaii home! Loved it and we will be back.

The house and our experience could not have been better. We definitely had a "wow" moment when we first walked in. Mari, the owner, goes above and beyond to make sure the property is well cared for and it shows. It was spotless, beautiful and well equipped. She greeted us on our arrival to make sure we knew where everything was and how things worked. The house is lovely and the view and location is spectacular. We were a group of 9 adults and had plenty of room to spread out. We cooked and bbq'd almost every night and found the kitchen spacious enough for a group to work in and was very well stocked. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs each with a deck and 2 bedrooms downstairs with an additional living area. The pool and yard were great and well maintained. Pool looks small in pictures but was plenty big for whoever wanted to swim or float around. The house is equipped with all the swim and beach gear you could want. We were able to walk to 2 beaches in 10 minutes or drive to many more within 20 minutes. I would highly recommend this property. We will definitely be back!

This house really is a piece of paradise! We spent many hours on the deck enjoying the view of the ocean while watching the passing whales and dolphins right from the deck. The large kitchen table made it easy for the 10 of us to sit around to eat and visit. There are all kinds of activities to choose from that are within walking distance from the house. Turtles in the hidden cove just down the street and Makaha beach a short walk the other direction. Mari was exceptional to work with, we arrived late at night and she was there to greet us and show us the house! The house is equipped with just about everything you could ever need from a washer and dryer to water toys and beach towels. We found everything we needed for our vacation in the house or the toy room. If we needed help with anything Mari was super to accommodate us, from arrival to getting our deposit back she was very professional! The spectacular view & the comfort of this home made our vacation a really special time and we would highly recommend this home to our friends and family.

My friends and I stayed at this property for ten days.. (4 couples). This is a beautiful home. Large enough for all of us. My husband and I had never been to Hawaii and we were disappointed in the traffic (easily over an hour and a half to Honolulu on a week day). This property is not conveniently located to the touristy things to do. In hindsight we should have stayed at Waikiki beach to access the restaurants that we would have gone to. Our beach was not possible to swim at, so this was disappointing. The jet tub attached to the pool was not heated and therefore not usable in the morning or evening. All of us were also dismayed to find out that we had to supply our own toilet paper as this house is not cheap. This is a great place if you do not wish to do a lot of touring around as we do.

I would like to Thank each of you for making our stay so awesome. We were a family of 9 and had more then enough space at this home. We all enjoyed the whales each day, as well as the beautiful sunsets at night. The pool was perfect for all of us to enjoy. It was truly hard to leave the house as it had everything that you could ask for. We would most definitely go back again to this property. It was PERFECT!!
Thanks so much for making our first trip to Hawaii so memorable.
Aloha,
Melanie
