A LOT of our business is from repeat guests, so we are doing things right!!
Note: This part of the island is a mixture of socio-economic backgrounds. We have multimillion dollar homes mixed with lower income housing and unfortunately, some homeless camps. There are camps on the west side because of the great weather, but there are homeless all over the island, especially in the big city. The average price of a home is well over a million dollars here. That prices a lot of people out of paradise. That being said, you are much more likely to be a victim of a crime in Waikiki or at a tourist destination than you would be at the Hawaiian Princess. We are a gated and secure building. Most people leave their lanai doors open 24/7 to let the breeze come in and to hear the sights and sounds of the ocean. Just as an FYI, we live in the area, and we have never had an incident related to the homeless, except maybe someone holding a sign looking for a meal or a couple of dollars.

We had a wonderful time at this condo for our first trip to Hawaii. The condo was everything we thought. The condo is located in the middle of all parts of the island. Each ride was about 45 min but never ever felt like that. You don’t have to go anywhere however as the beach provides all you need. Waves one day, lagoon like water the next. The beach is quiet and almost private. Sunrise and sunset,
Small hikes, local restaurants are all you really need.

Just my 12 year old daughter and I stayed here and we had a great Hawaii vacation. You can not beat the location of this condo, beautiful views and the beach/ocean is just footsteps from the back lanai. The beach felt safe and clean and was hardly ever crowded. The condo offered everything we needed to enjoy our stay. And very important is the AC worked good! There is one in the living area and another in the bedroom. I look forward to staying here again.

This place was absolutely perfect! Even better than the pictures. The sunsets were incredible, the pool and hot tub were so convenient and clean, the steps to the sand made for the most magical experience! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower had the best water pressure ever! I already want to come back. We ate every breakfast out on the patio watching turtles and seals swim by. The host was incredibly kind and helpful! This place couldn’t have been better! I recommend 100%!

We have stayed at over 50 places in 50 years including million dollar homes. This was the cleanest and most equipped place we have ever stayed. We couldn't have been happier.

I’ve stayed at Hawaiian Princess with my fiancé before on a higher floor and we loved it, but this condo made me love the location even more! You can’t beat the fact that the lanai has steps that lead you directly to the beach. The condo was clean and updated. The cabinets/closets were stocked with essentials like cleaning supplies, garbage bags, laundry detergent, cooking supplies, lots of towels, and more. The outdoor closet on the lanai also included a couple of beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards. The beach was beautiful and had the best sunsets. Would definitely stay here again :)

The bottom floor was awesome, walking out the door onto the beach was fantastic. We had a little of a drive going places but we’ll worth it to be in a not so busy area. It has great restaurants and grocery stores close by. L&L was our favorite place to eat.

Just got back from staying at this property. Here are the pros and cons of this place.
pros: it's literally on the beach. place is clean, pool is small but nice, well stocked apartment, gated, easy check in.
cons: there are miles upon miles of homeless people all over, all the way up once you drive past the Disney resort. It's so bad that they have trickled over to just outside the property. When we got there and went outside you can see a brand new huge homeless encampment to the left with 3 more popping up by the time we left.
The town is filled with crack heads and homeless people. it's like a third world country. So sad. At least theres a gate around the property which the maintenance workers told us the homeless jump over at night and use the pool and the water hose.
The bed is very uncomfortable. our backs were hurting really bad every morning. there is no gel pad or foam underneath as stated. We checked out a day early and stayed in Waikiki our last night so our backs wouldn't be hurting for our long flight home.
The bedroom is cramped. so be mindful when putting your stuff up. I took the cramped side as my wife kept hitting her knee on the corner of the bed when she got up at night.
The pictures make this place look big...trust me, it isn't.
The a.c. in the living room can't keep up with the heat from the sun so from 4 pm on it's like a magnifying glass in the living room even with the little shade they have to roll down and the curtains. the bedroom a.c. works.

This was our first trip to the islands, and we could not have asked for a better stay. The condo was everything promised and more. The grounds are well kept and the people - locals, workers, guests - were all so kind and welcoming. We definitely recommend checking out the rest of the island, but the beachfront condo was all we needed to make this an amazing trip. I will definitely book this condo again. Check out Aloha Poke and Countryside Cafe while you’re in the area.

Great place right on the beach. The apartment has all what you need and more (including beach gear). Secluded beach just for the three buildings on the neighborhood. This is our fourth stay on Oahu, and definitely is the best🤩.

Third time same place says it all. No crowds, pristine beach, lanai literally on the sand.

This condo is amazing! You cannot bet the view! It is exactly as described and as the pictures look. It has everything you need and more. If you are wanting seclusion and less crowded beaches away from the hustle and bustle, this is your place! We loved the lanai and spent most of our time there having coffee in the mornings and meals in the afternoon/evenings. It was wonderful to walk out the door and step right onto the beach and having beach chairs and umbrella available to use was so convenient and nice! The sunsets are amazing! You are literally in paradise on earth here. We loved every minute of our stay and cannot wait to go back! We had heard about the homeless population on Oahu but were really surprised at how many there actually are. With that being said, we never felt unsafe or had any issues at all. Communication with the owner was great, very responsive. Thanks for a wonderful first time visit to your amazing island in your lovely condo. ~Mahalo~

If feels like you are on your own private beach area, there are some homeless up in the hills though. They do come through walking by your place in the mornings and evenings, but otherwise was absolutely amazing. We wished we had more time to spend there. We didn’t time ours right to be able to really enjoy our own private beach access a whole lot. Did get you spend some amazing sunsets there though. Would love to go back some days and would definitely recommend it.

It was everything as advertised, the owner was great, and responded quickly to our questions. The property is aging, but the beach is timeless. Very clean. We would do this again.

This property is nicely hidden away from the touristy cities. My family was able to walk out the door and enjoy the beach. The sunsets were amazing and never the same. Listening to the waves crash all day is so relaxing. We had everything we needed to enjoy the beach without having to buy chairs an snorkels. The turtles would come by to say hello it was a magical 10 days for our family.

If you are thinking of staying here, our ground floor room was amazing. It was just like the pictures, stepped off the balcony and straight onto the beach... nothing between us and the beach and ocean... no sidewalks, no type of buildings, just beach!!! We loved it all, the view, the sounds, away from the busy Honolulu. Like others say, it's not a 5 star hotel for sure, but you pay less than their prices and get a great view RIGHT ON THE BEACH.... no hotel even offered that. Condo was very clean and well stocked with appliances. A/C in living room worked great, one in bedroom the fan wasn't balanced or soemthing and made a good amount of noise... we found running just the living room unit was more than enough... otherwise slide open the glass doors and let the breeze and beach sounds in. If we can make it back to visit Oahu again, we won't even look around, we will book on the ground floor again.

Relaxation
Loved our stay. Being able to walk out onto the beach was so nice! There were a couple of turtles that swam by every morning. The sunsets were amazing! The view was beautiful. There were a few homeless encampments down the beach but nothing problematic. I enjoyed our stay immensely, I literally cried when it was time to leave

Clean and nice
The place was very clean and well organized. Well equipped kitchen made cooking there a great experience. The only things that were not perfect were: the sleeper sofa which I believe needs a replacement as it’s super uncomfortable to sleep on and in the bedroom light was directly in my face so some curtain would be a nice addition. Otherwise all good!!you can’t beat beach location

Living in Paradise
Wow! What an amazing condo and beach. I am a clean freak and usually feel grossed out about something where I stay. Not here! Very clean and well kept and had many great cleaning supplies that I could use during the stay. The Lanai was everything! I loved waking up in the morning to drink coffee and listen to the waves. At night was amazing to sit and watch the sunset. The beach almost felt like a private getaway, with only a handful of people out each day. The rock next to Makaha Beach was a fun hike and we could see everywhere on the leeward side. I will be back to stay here. The only thing that was difficult staying out in Makaha was that it's a ways out from Honolulu and Waikiki, so making reservations and plans in the city was a drive. I still would rather stay away from the crowds though and make the commute.

Doesn't get any better than this
This little gem has it all for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway right on the beach. I spent a lot of time online searching for a place my limited mobility mother could enjoy. There are very few. She could migrate from bedroom to patio throughout the stay, watching whales (bring binoculars!) and sunsets. It would be equally perfect for a small family with young children. We were able to forego a car rental because there is a well-supplied Longs Drugs a few blocks away and a short (2 1/2 miles) bus ride to a full supermarket. In spite of the proximity to convenience, the feel is one of isolation from the rest of the world. We stayed 3 weeks and saw whales every single day (March) and no mosquitos. We already made reservations for next year.

Laidback Vacation
This was a simple relaxing vacation. Walk out the door onto the beach and relax. The condo has everything you need. Small town feeling without a lot of big named stores. If you want a high class vacation with pampering. This is not the place. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy the simple life.

Beautiful location on quiet beach
Location on the beach was awesome. Literally walk out the door to the beach. Perfect for just the two of us looking for a few beach days and a few days exploring the island before heading to Kauai.

We absolutely fell in love with this beautiful condo just steps from the beach. We enjoyed several days just at our beach and even got to see a few turtles from a distance. Nothing short of spectacular, Aloha is alive and well here. Kathy is very responsive and was an excellent host, Mahalo for everything. Will be back hopefully sooner than later. 🤙

Million dollar view in rent by the hour area
The view and proximity to the beach we’re outstanding but it was downhill from there.
The neighborhood was very uncomfortable. Once you arrived the building is gated and we could see why. There are no restaurants, absolutely no night life although you do not want to leave after dark anyways. If you want to stay in and cook through you’re stay then it’s ok, although recommend that you stop at a grocery store near the airport as the ones around the condo are run down and you need to pass security to enter. Unfortunately we will not go back

Sad because of the erosion at the beach! But in general what you can control awesome 👏🏻

Perfect Stay!
Wonderful little condo right on a Sandy, swimmable beach! The Sunsets are incredible every night. The AC was key and kept us very comfortable! With 2 small kids that are not able to be vaccinated we appreciated that we had a lot of space and did not have to deal with a crowded beach or pool. As other reviews indicated there is nothing really to do in far West Oahu, this was fine for us as we came for the Ocean. Nice local market with great Poke bar about 7 min drive. We met a local at the condo pool who we believe will be a lifelong friend. We will definitely return.

Wish we had known.
It was very pretty but there were things we didn’t realize about Hawaii.
We probably would go back if we get the chance.
Getting into water was a bit of a challenge for the 3 of us. Rocks were a little much.
It was nice walking right out back door to the ocean.

Beach Side Beauty
We really enjoyed our stay. Being able to walk out onto the sand from the lanai was incredible. The beach was never busy, and was a lot of fun. The condo was comfortable and nicely kept up. It was. a bit of a tight squeeze for 4, but the outdoor space made that not a problem. Loved having the use of beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boad. A definite bonus.

Very nice condo!
Everything about the condo was perfect. It was clean, cool, and of course just steps from a very nice, calm beach. If you google Makaha you'll see a lot of negative comments but we found the area nice. We never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. There is an excellent Puerto Rican reassurance very close and a great little grocery store close by with an awesome poke counter. The only negative which has nothing to do with the property itself is that it's about 25 minutes minimum to Honolulu and any touristy stuff. But I think that's reflected in the price. If you're ok with that, then I would highly recommend this property.

Location, location, location
Perfect secluded beach with some snorkeling! This spot is perfect if you want to be away from crowds. It is about an hour drive to Honolulu. The room was a little older than expected but it did not affect us in any way. Absolutely loved that our patio went straight to the beach.

Beach is great. Condo is in pretty good shape considering it’s on the beach. Chairs and umbrella provided. We will definitely come back again soon! The homeless problem on the island is concerning. Hopefully that will be corrected soon!

We loved the luxury of waking up and stepping out the back door onto the beach. We'd swim in the ocean every morning between 8 and 10 am. We saw a sea turtle & fishes and just relaxed by the water, then showered by the pool and sat in the hot tub. We loved having immediate access to the beach-no effort to get there and back. We toured the island during the day and would either eat out or bring food back and eat it on the patio and watch the sunset or go for another swim. We went to a neighboring beach one morning but preferred our own private cove. Bring snorkel gear or pick some up at Costco/other stores in town for the best underwater views. The property was beautiful, clean, had two A/Cs and a stand up fan if you didn't want AC running. We had everything we needed. The area was gated, ample parking, friendly staff--we felt very safe. Thanks for a GREAT vacation!
