This unit would be best for 2 adults and one child who could stay in the lower level and navigate the winding stairwell. No bathroom at that level which make it challenging to sleep there.

We stayed for a wedding and arrived early then had to leave late and the property managers were extremely accommodating

A perfect unique place to stay for graduation weekend!!! We truly enjoyed our stay. Walkable to downtown/restaurants , close to campus, and comes with everything needed. Communication was on point, no issues at all. Thank you for a wonderful stay

We visited Fredericksburg for a Civil War/family event. We got this booking and absolutely enjoyed the stay and location. Some may be put off by seeing that is an old church, but I think they did a good job turning it into a nice place for someone to stay. Step out and walk all through Historic Downtown Fredericksburg (which is absolutely beautiful). Great Time!

Very convenient for visiting the downtown area.

The townhome was in a perfect location for us. We had a wedding to attend which was within walking distance. Everything that we wanted to do was within walking distance. Beautiful town to visit. The VRBO had all of the amenities that we needed and was perfect for us!

Location was perfect for my friends and I for our quick day trip to Virginia. It was close enough to popular mountain trails so we were able to get a hike in. Very spacious for about 4 people to sleep comfortably, just keep in mind there is a spiral staircase to the downstairs area that is a little tight for big bags but it’s no deal breaker as there is another entrance. All in all it was perfect my friends and I!

We loved this little place. Spiral staircase was a little scary the first time but we got used to it. The only other negative was the parking spot provided was a little tight for a full size pick-up but it does fit. Other than that this is a fabulous location and easy check-in and check-out, 5 Stars!

We had a great time! Very close to all downtown shopping, restaurants and the battlefield. You can park your car in the back and no reason to drive the entire time you are there. Very clean and very responsive hosts.

I did not appreciate from the listing just how old the building was. It had a strong musty smell that kicked my allergies into high gear. Also the living rm/ bedroom combo in the basement left me with nowhere to sit because of the super tight spiral staircase. Could not get luggage down there either. No central heat so it was really cold with the only heater upstairs. The kitchen was excellent with nice appliances. Just bring your own k cups. Unfortunately I had to move out due to the smell.

We really enjoyed our stay. From the unique old church details to the amenities and location it was perfect for our weekend away!

PROS
Very clean and cool. Part of an old church.
Can walk to anywhere downtown in minutes
Nice Kitchen
CONS
No real "Living" space
One nice bed in basement
One hard as a rock modular/couch bed in basement (lots of room - why not put in a nice bed?)
Maybe leave a few coffee pods for the Keurig

The property was very nice, quiet and exceptionally clean! We had a few questions and the property manager was very responsive. Our only issues were that the kitchen was not well stocked (only a set of 4 dishes) and the sleeping arrangements. We had 5 people and were able to fit, but the pull out sofa was really not comfortable for 2. It fits 3-4 people better. We had a great stay, though!
3.0 / 5.0
Overall the property was ok. We had many lights that were out. The staircase to the basement was not wide and could not fit a suitcase down it. There was not curtain on the back window in the basement which was advertised as a second bedroom. The kitchen was not stocked with enough dishes. The refridgerator did not have a working ice maker. This property was also next to a food pantry and the homeless would hang out in the parking lot next to the property.

This is the perfect location for exploring historic downtown Fredericksburg. Just blocks away from the train station and from quaint shops and eateries, not to mention the Rappahannock River. We loved staying here!

We have booked for a further stay.

We were intrigued by the apartment in a church, and found it quite an adventure. It is much bigger than it appears, but sleeping arrangements are really for 3.

We loved our stay. The location couldn’t be more perfect and the place was spotless! The process and communication was great. I’m not sure if it was mentioned in the listing and I missed it, but my only suggestion would be to include in the listing that there’s a spiral staircase that might be difficult for some to navigate. For us it worked out great! and we loved the novelty of staying in and old converted church. Thank you so much for being so accommodating, we will definitely be back.

We had to reschedule our stay due to testing positive with COVID. We’re very grateful that the owners let us reschedule. The weekend we were offered for re-booking was for the weekend of the Christmas Parade, and the apartment is right on the parade route!

I love taking weekend trips to Fredericksburg and this is an amazing find! So close to where everything is but secluded and quiet. Everything was so clean. I love the charm of the building and especially the stained glass windows!

We had a wonderful time! This unit is great for getting out and walking around the Historic Downtown area. We were attending a wedding at the Woolen Mill and the rehearsal dinner was walking distance from the apartment. The unit was clean and exactly as described in the listing!

Wonderful
So much fun to stay in a church! And so close to everything! Loved walking around town the first night to find ice cream with my mom, wished we had a little kid with us to play at the riverfront playground, but thoroughly enjoyed walking my dog all around. The town is darling, the accommodations comfortable and charming and perfect for our needs. We would definitely want to stay there again :)

Great location, clean and comfortable
We would stay again as the place is well done and makes for a mostly comfortable stay. There are a few things that need attention such as a privacy shade over downstairs door as well as upstairs doors and the bedroom needs alternative flat pillows as the high pile pillows not good for all sleepers. The shower area needs a bath rug to step out on and there should be more than 3 towels and wash cloths available. All said, it is still a great place to stay if wanting Fredericksburg area.

nice place in a great part of town
Very impressed, nice and clean, fantastic location.

Not impressed not a 2 bedroom
Overall security was not up to par, front porch light burn out light, as well as inside living room lamp burn out, downstairs, no blinds or curtains over open doors and windows adjacent to the bed in the down stairs living room. Towel bar in the upstairs bathroom broken as long crack in bath tub. one TV only downstairs. No amenities. A Keurig but no Keurig coffee, coffee but no coffee pot. Listed as a two bedroom the second “bedroom“ was a bed (day bed) in the living room down in the basement. The only sitting area was also downstairs in basement, where no privacy exsist. No ice maker as well

Great place in downtown Fredericksburg
We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at this renovated church. It was a beautifully and unique place to stay walkable to all the great things Fredericksburg has to offer. The host was very responsive and I would highly recommend staying here!
