This property was a joy to stay in. We especially loved the porches and windows. The property manager Allison went above and beyond to make our stay.delightful.

The house is spacious and could easily accommodate the family, including our dog. Overall, the house is clean, but the carpets in the bedrooms and the upholstery in the living room are stained.
The view of the St. Lawrence River and Boldt Castle is stunning. We enjoyed the enclosed porch for morning coffee and rainy day board games. We appreciated the outdoor spaces, including the fire pit.
Communication with the property manager was always courteous and responded to promptly.
The only disappointment was that the house really only sleeps 10.The listing indicates that there is a twin and a double sofa bed in the common spaces, but there is not.
The property is lovely and in a beautiful location.

Overall - the property was nice. Wish they had cut a path to the waterway. Communication was wonderful.

The view was absolutely stunning. The internet of the house needed some remodeling. Bedrooms could’ve been nicer. Master bedroom and one bedroom with bunks had televisions but the others didn’t. Several light switches didn’t work and several light bulbs were blown. Couldn’t access the freezer well. Door doesn’t open all the way. Bathroom in master bath toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and the other full bathroom didn’t have a toilet paper holder at all. Outside was wonderful and kitchen was fully stocked except for a cookie sheet.

Needed a get away after death in my family. It was a perfect reset.

This was the perfect setting for our family retreat.
The property was spacious enough to accommodate our whole family, including our dog! The layout allows for both communal family time and quiet moments of solitude. The views and neighborhood were spectacular. Everyone on the Island was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed morning walks with the dog and had delightful conversations with neighbors who were out and about.
The property was spotless and well-maintained, making it instantly inviting. All amenities were in excellent condition, from the kitchen appliances to the comfortable beds. And to top it off, thoughtful extras like dish detergent and hygiene products were also provided, making our stay even more convenient. It really felt like a home away from home.
It's not often that a vacation rental checks all the boxes for cleanliness, comfort, location, and pet-friendliness, but this property managed to do so effortlessly. We left with our hearts full and minds already planning a return trip.

The view was even better then the pictures in the listing. The home was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The property manager proactively reached out to be sure we had information we needed to check in. Had a wonderful birthday dinner at the 1000 Islands Club about a mile down the road. Would definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed at your lovely accommodation and wanted to share my overall positive experience.
Amazing views and really stunning location!
The attention to detail in the common areas and the small touches left for guests truly enhanced the overall experience. Additionally, the cleanliness of the property, especially as a dog-friendly accommodation, was great.
However, there were a few issues that arose during my stay. Firstly, the upstairs AC unit was out of order, leaving that area without air conditioning. Secondly, the shower drain in the downstairs bathroom was draining slowly, making it inconvenient to use. Lastly, the mattress in one of the bedrooms had noticeably caved in the middle, making for an uncomfortable sleep and kept us rolling into the middle.
I want to commend you on your responsiveness and commitment to resolving these issues. Your approach reassured me that the concerns raised would be taken seriously and addressed promptly. I am confident that future guests will have an even better experience with your attentiveness.
Despite these concerns, I genuinely had a wonderful time during my stay. The well-maintained property and delightful surroundings made for an enjoyable visit. Thank you for your understanding and for showing genuine care towards the concerns expressed.
I wholeheartedly recommend your accommodation.
Thank you again for everything

Rented this home to accommodate family travelling from out of state to attend a memorial service for my mother. The thoughtful host had fresh flowers and a beautiful card expressing condolences for us in the home. The house was perfect for our needs with plenty if space in the backyard for the kids to play.

Upon arrival we had no wifi as soon as I reached out to owner he messaged back right away to help us get it fixed. We never had to wait hours for them to reply it was always with in a few minutes they got back with us.
The kitchen was stocked (tools/appliances) well enough the we were able to make meals every day. Rooms worked out for everyone we had myself and husband in one room our 4 littles in the 4 bunk room and the other rooms were taken by our older 3 teens.
The kids loved the property it snowed while we were there the kids had a blast with all the space and the view was amazing. Looking to hopefully be able to book for the summer
Down fall was the toll bridge you had to pass through when traveling to places that weren’t going towards Canada. With it off season we had to pass the toll many times. A toll pass is a must.

Great place to stay on the north end of Wellesley Island. Everything you need to be comfortable.
LOL - you won’t find an olive fork, cigar humidor or wine chiller. We’re coming back!

In the area for ice fishing, so we spent the day on the ice. Only slept at the house. Served us very well, no complaints.

We had a group of nine and enjoyed our stay, love the location’ we were a bit nervous about bunk bed shacking, house in need of minor repairs, some light we couldn’t figure out, maybe switches could be labeled’. Could not find a write up on house rules. Overall great time together, great view, could cook nice sit down meals.

when we arrived house was very hot. Ended up buying a/c the first day. Home was not very clean. Nice yard for kids and family

Owner very responsive. Beautiful place overlooking St. Lawrence and Boldt Castle. Amenities in bath, bottled water, spices, even coffee. Screened in porch was relaxing, part of house, but separate, quiet. Garage was a plus with corn hole and tennis rackets. Fire pit and outdoor seating was relaxing. Air conditioners in bedrooms. Only drawback, air conditioning is weak in living area. No dock access or boat launch. We loved our stay.

Property was nice. Was a bit "used" as there were nitpicky things that should be better in a nice home like this and for the price - e.g. AC units were old and noisy and didn't come close to cooling the whole house, fridge door needed extra effort (and easy to get left open slightly), drains didn't drain very well, or barely at all in one of the showers, and I could go on. Would have been nice if there was whole house AC also. It's really a 10-person unit as sleeping on the couch isn't very comfortable. Owner/cleaning person did come up with a nice inflatable bed which brought us up to 12-person, but had to use in the middle of the floor!
Owner was VERY responsive to our requests (except when VRBO emails didn't go through - grrr). He even delivered missing bags for the cornhole games - Nice! View was great. Yard was great. Access to water didn't really exist. Overall, a nice property and location but needs some TLC.

Checked one off the Bucket List
Overall, the house and property was nice and the location was ideal with views of Boldt Castle and the large ships on the River. However, there were a few minor issues ... one was with the cleanliness, we had to wipe down some areas of dust and dead bugs (A/C units, sinks, light fixtures), and had bath rugs that were still wet and soiled. Our kids also found whole eggs and egg shells scattered in the backyard and there was some litter e.g. corks, tobacco tin around the fire pit. There was also an incident on the first night with one of the bunk beds where one of the slats on a top bunk fell off and hit the person sleeping on the bottom bunk; I believe the slat is a bit short and probably should be replaced with a longer one to avoid a serious accident from possibly happening. Another thing to note was although it was mentioned that the house has A/C, it wasn't in all the bedrooms. Two bedrooms did not have an A/C unit, but did have a desk fan. Thankfully, the evenings were cool during our stay. The house in some spots needs a little TLC and repair i.e. holes in the ceiling in some closets to make it look better and living room TV wall bracket needs to be a bit more secured/attached to the TV or else it's going to fall off. Now even with all that being said, our family did have an enjoyable and relaxing time, and Michael was very responsive to all our questions. House amenities were plentiful, the views from the upstairs was exceptional and we enjoyed playing in the backyard and using the fire pit in the evenings (fyi, firewood not provided and bring ThermaCell or mosquito repellent). We even saw a doe and her fawn several times in the mornings. The location was private and convenient to get to the State Park, shuttle for Bold Castle, and to make short trips to Price Chopper, Clayton, and Alexandria Bay. All in all, we would recommend this property to friends and family.

Good
Michael is very friendly and very fast in communication. Place is comfortable. Except cleanliness everything else is 5 stars. I am assuming this is the first rental after Christmas, and thats the reason for little tidiness in living room and balcony area. Kitchen is clean and restrooms are clean.
