Great place to stay with family. The owner had put in new ac units for each room.

This was a great spot only 20 minutes form the Maine Savings Amphitheater, which is why we were in the area. Clean and comfortable.

The inside of the apartment was clean and there were plenty of blankets and toiletries. The outside looks like it used to be a Chinese restaurant. Everything was adequate except for the water pressure in the shower. Pressure was very low.

Apartment was clean and all basics for our stay. It would have been nice to have air conditioning as it was during heat wave, but we made do with the fans in the bedrooms. The smoke detector battery needing replacing in the middle of the night in our room and the chirping of the detector woke us up. We swapped the battery from empty bedroom as we couldn't find any replacement batteries. The location was convenient for our travels and fine for an evening.

Interior apartment was very clean and spacious. Kitchen was a plus. The only bad review is the exterior. The garbage was overflowing in dumpster and the lawn needed trimming especially close to house

We stayed 2 nights, during a week long road trip through NY, NH, ME, and MA. Having the space to spread out, after cramped hotel rooms elsewhere, and the ability to do laundry was great. Everything was clean, in working order, and provided for a pleasant stay.

The apartment is nicely done. It is above some sort of old gas station and is a little surprising to drive up to. The biggest problem I had is that it advertises AC and it didn't have it. At least it had fans in each bedroom.

Property was well maintained and spotless. Perfect for a stopover on our way to Nova Scotia.

The apartment was exactly as pictured and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked. There was even coffee and filters! We only cooked breakfast but it looked like you could cook a full meal. One very minor negative: the non-stick skillet was well worn. It’s a very spacious apartment. The bed I slept in was very comfortable. Lots of nice to touches, like individual space heaters in the bedrooms and plenty of towels and blankets. The shower was spacious, clean, plenty of hot water and water pressure. I’ve never stayed at a VRBO with so many varieties of body wash/shampoo/conditioners, etc. It felt very secure with two keyless entry doors - one at the bottom of the stairs entering the building and one for the door to the apartment. One thing I’m mentioning only because I didn’t see it in other reviews: the property is right at an intersection with a blinking lights. The curtains completely keep the light out of the bedrooms, but I heard trucks in the morning as they approached and pulled away from the intersection. (I was already getting awake.) There we’re three of us, one of whom is a light sleeper. It didn’t bother any of us - especially through the night as it is a somewhat rural area. Just something I didn’t realize before we went. Lisa was a great host, offering suggestions on what to do at Acadia and promptly answering all my questions. I’d definitely stay here again!

Online listing is accurate. Reason for 3 stars for location is crossroad of two larger roads. Great location as base for exploring area but not a destination location.

This was the second time we’ve stayed here and I think that tells it all. Honestly this place is spotless, I’m not sure who cleans but I want to take them home with me! Last time we stayed there wasn’t any sugar and I mentioned that, well they had sugar this time. 😊So I would definitely stay again and probably will as our grandson is a student at UMaine. I probably shouldn’t say that as it may be unavailable for me the next time the school has an event. Oh one last thing DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THE OUTSIDE! It truly is a place we will stay again and again!

Lisa’s house was perfect for our one night stopover in Hampden! She had many kitchen and bathroom toiletry amenities. We felt very comfortable in her flat.

Plenty of bedrooms and comfortable beds. Our only problem was even though they had coffee & coffee creamer there was no sugar, none. We thought we found the sugar bowl so my dil added some to her coffee only to find out after her first sip it was salt!!! The outside really needs to be spruced up, the garden is just an area of tall weeds. Even though we knew that we were in the right place it was a bit unnerving to see it was a part of an abandoned gas station & Chinese restaurant. We all thought we were in the wrong place. Others than that it was actually enjoyable. Oh one more thing maybe some information on how to work the tv as well.

Spacious apartment great for a group
The apartment, located over a closed store/restaurant, is very spacious and eight of us enjoyed a family weekend! The outside is deceiving and could use a facelift, however, the apartment itself was spacious and clean. Our host was very responsive to issues/questions. The bathroom was well equipped, but took some planning/organization to work for 8 people! The kitchen, for a cooking lover like myself could have a few more items, but we managed. We had a fun weekend!
