I booked this because it was advertised to have a boat house. There was one in front of the house which was stuck in the mud and unusable, so I assumed that was an old one no longer in use and I pulled into the empty boat house right next to it thinking it must be the correct one. But it belonged to the property next door, which I had no way of knowing, and vacasa called me after 9 at night to move it. I moved it the next morning and the neighbor was yelling at me that he’d call the cops and have me arrested for trespassing. Absolutely crazy. So we ended up trailering the boat which was a hassle given the very tight turns and roads, and we could have stayed home and done the same thing. The whole point was to have our boat in the water right in front of the house but that was impossible. The photos show the boathouse floating, but if the lake goes down 2 feet it’s stuck in the mud although the neighboring docks were floating. This house has a bridge to the boathouse that is way too short. The house is cute, but there are lots of nice houses to rent. if you want to keep your boat in the water, look elsewhere.

We enjoyed the house itself, it was an older home that had been recently updated and was very cute inside. The location felt very safe and was convenient to several restaurants. We had read previous reviews that the lakefront wasn’t very accessible, due to the dock not extending into deeper water. Those reviews were accurate. We were not able to get into “swimming” territory, since you’d have to wade a long way through a squishy, clay like bottom to get out to deep water. If the house had been equipped with kayaks or some type of inflatable water toys, then maybe we could have gotten out on the lake. So, bring your own kayaks or floats if you have them. One other item to note, although it wasn’t a problem for us, but we noticed - is there are 4 motorhomes set up on a neighboring property. You pass them coming and going from the house.

House was very comfortable, clean, and right on the water. Several large screen tv’s and the kitchen was very well equipped with new appliances and everything needed for cooking meals.

The home is absolutely adorable, well furnished and comfortable. The location and proximity to the lake is perfect for those who want a lake vacation. The views in the area are stunning and the manage communicated quickly.
Everything about this stay was perfect except the dock and the wifi, which were mentioned by other reviewers.
Based on those reviews we looked at the photos and how high the present lake levels were and we thought we would be pretty safe. Unfortunately, that was not the case and we were not able to dock our boat. If we had a pontoon boat we may have been fine, but with our small crownline it wasn’t possible.
The other issue with bringing the boat, and not being able to dock, is that the road to the house is a very narrow dirt road. We were able to pull our boat there on the trailer, but if it had been any bigger we would have been hard pressed to turn it around.
Again-the home itself was absolutely delightful and we would stay here again, but if we wanted to rent a house we could dock our boat at every night, this would not be the one.

Our family enjoyed this beautiful and cozy home. The location, décor and game room were all big hits with our family.

There is a review about the water being too low so it was difficult for a jet ski, however, it was perfect depth for our kids!!! We had a blast!

We loved the simplicity and cleanliness of the house. The hot tub and garage made for wonderful spaces to spend our time. There is no ladder on the dock to get in and out so don’t expect to swim from the dock without cutting up your legs to get out. This home was very clean and well kept.
4.0 / 5.0
At first glance the ranch style home is inviting with an obvious “lake” theme. Nicely located in a side cove, the dock is short and does not extend past the muck/mud and does not have a ladder to climb back up if you choose to swim in or float on the lake from the dock. Docking a boat, shallow. The hot tub was lovely and comfortable for 4 adults.
We cook and found the kitchen to have good appliances but was lacking in serving bowls, silverware needs to be updated (no grown up forks or serving spoons), some of the skillets just need to be thrown out and bring your own sharpened knives if you plan on cooking. Only 2 trash bags are provided and when we arrived, the outside trash bin was full until trash pick up on Tuesday. The grill needs to be replaced as the bottom it is very rusted as are the burner covers and flame up hazardously.
The bathrooms are good sized but bring your own toiletries as 1-1 oz shampoo and cream rinse for each bathroom with 4 people lasts 2 showers. Each bathroom was stocked with a set of towels (2 bath, 3 hand, 3 wash cloths) and a floor mat but only 2 rolls of TP. No beach towels are available, bring your own.
The main bedroom was spacious with a dresser and large closet. Sadly, none of the mattresses in any of the bedrooms were comfortable. Neither of the two non-main bedrooms had dresser storage. Caution with the sunken living room, the BIG step down can be a trip/step down hazard for short, children, or physically impaired people.

The house was not a house, it was a home. From the jacuzzi to the potato peeler, it had everything you need and then some. Comfy beds, boat dock and the coffee bar was my favorite. Hope to visit again real soon!

It's a beautiful house, and it has great access to the lake with a dock for your boat (in season). The game room/garage was very popular, and the hot tub was hot and ready.
A few negatives:
Internet was horrible when we first arrived. We had no working internet for the 1st half of our 4 night stay. The management tried to help, but bless their hearts, they're not IT. Between my bro-in-law and myself, we got it working "good" (not great). Evidence suggested that it is a bad CAT 5 cord, or bad port on a router. The wifi needs a serious, and much simpler, hardware upgrade. Some form of restitution should have been offered as it compromised school work, and business for some of the guests.
2) The road that gives access to the house is different from the street address, and was confusing/hard to find. It's also in a state of disrepair, but perhaps that's a city council issue.
3) The cleanliness of the property was compromised by pet hair. Strange as it is not a pet-friendly rental. The cleaning crew needs to pay more attention to corners, and under furniture, as pet hair would find it's way out from those areas. There was also lots of pet hair on the 2 chairs in the living room. They would "shed" on our clothes. There was also pet droppings littered across the lawn. One of the guests stepped in some, and it was a nuisance. Not sure how this happened, but please look into it.
I might stay here again, because it was a nice house w/great lake access. Just a lot to consider.

This house was clean, comfortable, and homey. It was the perfect stay for our out of state weekend wedding. Their attention to detail was a plus, whether it be hand soap, shampoo or dish detergent. They had us covered. While we did not have time to use the hot tub, it looked like new and well kept. The garage game room was perfect for a little fun time to kill. Last but not least, the check in and out process was simple!

House was decorated beautifully. Enjoyed the hot tub. The huge windows in front were perfect for watching the geese on the lake.

This home has been totally renovated. From the hardwood floors to the bathrooms to the beautiful kitchen. The view of the lake is spatactular from the many oversized windows. The sunrise over the lake is spectacular. Brand new appliances and professionally decorated. The beds and linens were better than home. We have already ordered the fabulous pillows they have. Worth every penny!

Property was pristine and well appointed. Pleasure to stay there.
3.0 / 5.0
The home itself was beautiful, clean and comfy. There are a few things that should be noted though. We brought our jet skis up for the weekend and at full pool water level the dock is in such shallow water you basically have to stand in the muck to tie off, etc. and there is no swimming right around the dock. It would be WONDERFUL if the dock were extended to a usable depth. One plus is that there is a ramp right around the corner though. Also I think due to recent rains the garage with the “extras” was full of standing water the entire stay rendering the other amenities difficult to use because of the standing water and the grass in the front yard was tall and hadn’t been cut in some time. I think this was also due to recent weather. The corn hole boards were covered in mold and most of the darts are broken so those both could be replaced. Lastly, the vacuum didn’t work either.
The home itself is beautiful and comfy though with a great view. It just didn’t provide the usability we were looking for.

We loved this house! We stay at 4-5 rentals around the U.S. per year and this was the nicest place we have ever stayed. It had everything we needed, it was clean and decorated so cutely. The game room and dock are a bonus for this place. There is a cooler and a couple of folding chairs in the game room area. I have never seen a cleaner hot tub!!! There were two areas to sit outside. The dock was great it is shallow but we got our boat in and out without any problems. Can't wait to come back.

We loved staying here. I only wished the description of "private beach" would be removed.

Loved this rental. We thought it was actually our favorite of all of our rentals over the years. The decor is so cute, high end furnishings, TVs, and appliances. We wish the access to the water was better, but there are nearby options so not a huge deal.
5.0 / 5.0
Recently renovated property that is just as it appears in the pictures. Clean, cheerful, and well situated to take advantage of Clay County Beach, Splash Island, area restaurants, etc. The dock is short and shallow, though, compared to neighbors’, so depending on water levels, don’t bank on being able to jump off of it (bring water shoes to wade out through the mud). The kitchen is well stocked but there are no “toys / extras” at the house aside from board games, so… here’s a list of a few things we wish we’d brought — folding beach or camp chairs, meat thermometer, small cooler, fire starting equipment, and floats or pool noodles.

The home was spotless, and cozy. You are able to walk right down to the lake and fish off the private dock. The huge window in the living room looks out at the the lake and you can watch the fish jump.
The home was beautifully decorated with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Close to Brasstown Bald and plenty of dining options within 10 minutes to the home. Will definitely be back, we had a wonderful stay.
