I want to provide an honest summary to aid others in property selection. The positives of this unit: location, washer/dryer & small kitchen. Negatives: this is a tiled basement unit. We could hear walking above us both late into evening and in the morning. The twin bed is an older piece of furniture with an uncomfortable mattress within a few feet of the door to the unit. The second twin is a roll out trundle also with old appearing mattress. There was an indoor/outdoor thin “rug” in that space and otherwise entire unit is tiled. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve seen in a rental and the windows potentially could allow persons outside to see into the unit. The key was left in the mailbox (not in a lockbox) and the first night I was unable to sleep as I was worried about safety (who else knew about the key in mailbox system) as there is a bus stop yards away. The neighborhood is great but for $500/2 nights (w tax etc) I think a hotel is a better choice in this case

Nice place, good location, rapid response from owner when we blew a fuse, thanks.

This was one of our best experiences in DC area. I visit often to meet with my college student daughter and need 2-3 days to relax and focus on why I am here. This place was just the right place to settle and unravel from a busy day. Not it was clean, furnished with the best furniture, appliance, and amenities, which offers a true welcoming and homely experience, but also is decorated with nice and carefully curated art in a smart and interesting way. Welcoming to your body and soul. We had a bit of difficulty finding the entry (it is the basement floor of the property in the address and you have to go around the house to find it) but once entered the home we didn't want to come out! Kitchenware were great, the bathroom was clean and well stocked with high quality hygienics.
We loved our stay and the host was exceptionally generous allowing us to stay few hours extra for my daughter to take her virtual interview before we check out.
we certainly appreciated the experience and recommend it.

This basement apartment was the perfect stay. Great location, great for pets, well-supplied home, quiet, comfy — all this made this an easy, carefree stay. Will definitely stay again if we rent to the area.

The basement is cold, the little shower stall is too tight, the bed too soft...not hotel close to hotel standards and both my first and last Vrbo rental.

Apt. was more than fully stocked; decor top notch; location fully met our needs and pocketbook. Will definitely stay again in future.

My husband and I stayed three nights, very close to our kids in Chevy Chase. We were impressed with the way the apartment is supplied with everything you could possibly need, from spices to shampoos to dog bowls! It feels as if the host thought about everything she might need if SHE were staying there, and supplied it all! Directions were helpful, parking was easy, check-in and check-out were painless. We will definitely be looking to stay here again.

Great location, great hosts. Space is comfy. Dog likes it. Parking is easy. Neighborhood is quiet with good restaurants, cafes and shops right nearby.

Great place to stay with easy access to Connecticut Ave or for short trips into Maryland. Garden basement was very clean and great lighting throughout. Shower was tight, but probably not uncommon for city remodels with limited space. On street parking worked well and was very close to house entrance. Nice size private bedroom and a family room with additional sleeping options if needed. Also appreciated this unit as being pet friendly as neighborhood is great for walking dogs.

My wife and two sons (5&7) spent a week here and it was a great spot for us to explore the city from. It was convenient to all the things we wanted to do. The apartment is well stocked with all the things you would need while away from home. We had our 5 month old puppy with us and we actually looked forward to walking her around the neighborhood and parks.

We have stayed here before and that is why we stayed on this trip to DC.
The host provides many amenities that make our stay comfortable. The extra effort she gives is appreciated. The location is very convenient to visit DC.

This property was one of the cleanest we've stayed in, with everything one would need. Books, cookbooks, spices, laundry and cooking supplies. Quiet, comfortable, and easy check-in, check-out. The host was prompt in getting back to us with questions we had prior to arrival.
We were there a short time visiting friends, but enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants and surrounding residential neighborhoods. Parking available on the street or next door.

The unit was clean and comfortable with everything that one would need. Extra blankets was a plus. A heater in the closet really helped as one day was rainy and cold. The only negative was shower was tiny and a little difficult to use and a very strong smell of chlorine in the bathroom that sort of penetrated entire unit. Maybe a different cleaning solution can be used. Otherwise our stay was great

The property is clean, comfortable, and well appointed. It is in a great neighbourhood, with easy access to bus and metro transportation, groceries, restaurants, etc. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our meal at Buck’s Fishing and Camping on Connecticutt, and take out lunches from Broad Branch market.

It’s a clean and comfortable apartment with a good bit of natural light in a great neighborhood — accessible to public transit, easy parking, and safe. The hosts were helpful in advance and have a well-appointed ( and stocked) place. I brought my 22lb dog and he was comfy and enjoyed our walks in the neighborhood. Already booked a return visit!

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was great for visiting our son in nearby Bethesda, and for seeing all the sites in DC. Thank you.

Great location and host provided many, many extras. Large and spacious rooms except for smaller bathroom. Also provides washer and dryer. Would rent again.

This property was perfect for our stay. Clean, comfortable and they had coffee!
I would’ve loved to have had a TV in the bedroom, as the other “bedroom” is the living room so when she went to sleep/slept later we did not have access to watch TV.
We will be back!

Apartment was great — no complaints. Loved how easy this was to find. Host’s directions were on point, with one small exception — the parking available across the street is during non-business hours — but we were able to find another spot down the street that worked just fine. Watch out for all the one-way streets and time-limited left- or right-turns. You will get turned around quickly!

My spouse and I needed a place to stay for a few days while our house was going through renovations and we found this spot that was just a short walk away at a great price. A very clean unit that had all the amenities we needed, and the owners provided a few pre-packaged snacks for guests, which was a nice touch. Check in and out was very simple and the owners were very accessible via email and/or phone. Highly recommended for a short stay in the DC area, as it's a short drive from the unit into downtown, or to the highway to get to other parts of the area. Parking is tricky since on-street spaces are limited but otherwise a great stay overall.
