The view is beautiful (would have been even better without machinery parked right outside the window)
The peacocks + chickens were fun for our toddler
We booked Ty Nofio but had to be reallocated to Peacock Cottage due to double booking. We were happy with this until arriving. If it wasn’t for a tired 2 year old + losing over £100 we would have left
-Pubic hair in the bath
- generally not clean + so dusty + dirty
-weird fusty + dusty smell that catches in your throat
-stained + fusty smelling bedsheets
-really uncomfortable old mattresses
-really dated + over used old furniture. Particularly the huge round leather sofa + beds. All smells old + dirty
-not a quirky small holding more of a unkept, rough mess with junk + random cars + machines strewn everywhere
-attached to owners/farm managers cottage
- the garden the windows look out on to has mounds of washing + junk to the back + the front garden contained so much junk including a large knife, weights bench, radiators, broken chairs
-didn’t feel safe
-stairgate to prevent toddlers falling down the stairs but no safety latches to low level windows in the bedrooms
- kitchen facility + wiring cobbled together
- cutlery + plates felt greasy
- broken toilet seat
- broken outdoor loungers
- some lights + lamps not working

The location was perfect, the people were very friendly and the dogs were also amazing and very friendly!
We had 6 burgers and a breakfast platter all from the farm and was absolutely beautiful.

Beds were comfortable, friendliness of staff, venue was stunning, plenty of animals to cuddle, meeting the pigs and all the information given, spacious living space, parking, the hot tub/pool, how close it was to Brecon, good pubs nearby, info given in nearby walks, the view, how quickly they reply to messages, good communication, well informed, ease of check in and check out - just felt like they couldn't do enough! If you actually read the information they send you then you're on to a good one. They even helped us book an extra night so if that doesn't tell you something I don't know what will.
Generally a very clean location!
Also they keep to themselves so you don't feel bothered, but when you need to chat about something they will just help you.
Honestly a great venue for the gram! Although for a wellbeing retreat perfect, don't use your phone - limited signal in Brecon for most of us who went, and that's so valuable for those who want some peace.
Whilst the dogs are absolutely gorgeous - if you aren't a big fan of dogs or confident in handling them it can be a little intimidating - we loved the dogs, but one in particular had a habit of getting vocal at 3am. This did get better. The pool could have been a tiny bit warmer too and cooking facilities wise we didn't have access to an oven (we saw a contraption made out of glass - maybe just leave some instructions?) And the carpet upstairs could do with a hoover. This is all very minimal though. We loved it here.

The pool and the dogs were sp friendly. Waking up to having peacocks on the verander was lovely.
The beehive could have been somewhere else and no so close the the building only due to one of our party being so frightened of them. Although they didn't bother me.

The drive through the countryside was lovely.
There was no one available to speak with about checking in, or our about booking generally, when we arrived. The one person who we encountered (another guest) knew nothing about our booking or how to reach anyone. She suggested we'd have to speak with the owner who was off in London. No one was available to answer our phone calls or online messages. The facilities were NOT AS represented in the booking add. The grounds were basically a run down farm. The parking area and stairs were treacherous. We had a disabled person in our party, and the loft and grounds were just not workable for our group (none of which was discernable from their Booking add). We were never even able to check in as there was no one there to assist us. When the owner finally did contact us (days later, in response to my request for a refund), they refused to issue us any portion of a refund. The owner claimed there was some kind of downstairs room we could have used, but again, there was no one there at the time to tell us that, nor would anyone answer the phone or return messages the day we were there. After half an hour of sitting in the run down parking lot and trying to find/reach anyone, and considering the sorry state of what we could see of the facilities, we gave up and found other accommodations elsewhere. That they took & kept our money for two nights stay - that we never even checked in for - is appalling as well! Unequivocally, my worst experience with a Booking.com facility anywhere, ever!

nice area
went to use the pool had electric shock from the water, called the number for staff the guy came and checked the water had a bad shock himself, then went and apparently found the problem up the feel from a post a farmer had put in, solved the issue, phoned the electrician, and went into his house attached to this property and had a shock himself from the light switch which I think is far from true as he went and came back with in 10 minutes. toilet was loose and leaking over the bathroom floor

Lovely views
,Lovely cottage but it is joined on to their house with just a door between which you can hear everything ,the pool had all bits in it which later found out it was bacteria floating about we complained they did come and put chlorine in to the pool , after a few hours we went into the pool my daughter came out in a rash and the smell of chlorine was so bad our eays and chests were burning I tried put the children to bed and opened all the doors but it was so bad by 1am I had to get the children out off bed & leave after paying £250 for a extra night . I messaged in the morning to explain what had happened not wanting anyone eles to go through what we did & that's all the reply was sorry about your experience.
