Clean, safe, and comfortable enough. The building's finest days are certainly behind it, but its location is unimpeachable. Zero frills. But the value was there. Probably will not stay again,but would recommend to a budget conscious traveler.

Location is great for walking everywhere we wanted to go. But late night traffic is loud on Patton St. and the crosswalk signals beeped all night. Next time we will try to get a room on the back side of the hotel. Very clean room. Nice people. Slow elevator. Great price for the location.

Very friendly workers and business. We had to cut our trip short by a day and was unexpectedly reimbursed for the night. That was very good business in my opinion. We appreciate their kindness and will definitely stay again when in the are.

The building is in need of a lot of renovations but you get what you pay for and we wanted cheap. All of the drop ceiling’s were stained and looked as though they were going to fall down at any time. The elevator in the lobby was super sketchy. Someone walked up and down the outside balcony’s all night beating something super loud on the ground. Very very loud street noise if you get a room on the street side. But the rooms themselves, though dated, were super clean and the hotel is in a great location. All in all if you’re looking for something cheap but clean, this is a great choice.

The property was nice. Check in was simple and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Our mini fridge wasn’t cooling and the staff immediately brought a new one up. Very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was nice. Plenty to choose from and enjoy! I left my pillows on accident and they’ve agreed to mail them to me. Very nice place and people

This property was nice. We had our dogs with us. They enjoyed the low windows and checking out the action on the street. The hotel lobby elevator was old and a little scary but the others were fine. We would stay here again. Very convenient location.

I rented through VRBO and booked a king room. When we arrived they did not have our reservation and didn't have any King beds. They put us in a double FULL bed room, not even queen. Otherwise, you get what you pay for. It definitely isn't anything really nice, but was ok.

The walls were so thin. It being close to a major road meant we were up until 2 pm when traffic calmed down. We could hear folks yelling on the street. The beds were comfy and the pillows fluffy.

We stayed a night in the Downtown Inn in Asheville with our pups. Parking on site was limited, but additional parking was available at adjacent lots. The grounds of the hotel were in rough shape, but the room was clean if not somewhat dated. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly and enjoyed seeing our dogs. If you stay, ask for a room on the back side of the hotel away from the very noise traffic at the front.
