We loved the location in The Funk Zone. We could walk everywhere. There is a little freeway noise - but not a dealbreaker. House was well appointed with comfortable furniture, nice kitchen and rooftop deck.

I would definitely stay here again. The place was in a great location and was really nice, well stocked and clean. The freeway was a bit noisy and it doesn't have central air (which is well advertised) but they have fans so we didn't find that too much of an issue. We had an excellent trip and would definitely stay here again!

The Santa Barbara Lux Villa was perfect for our girls trip. The house was well stocked and so comfortable for the four of us. The location was perfect - close to the beach, the Funk Zone, and State Street. We would definitely stay there again.
4.8
This little gem is perfect for enjoying ocean breezes while being within walking distance to all the flavors and fair of the funk zone!

The house was great and it was in a terrific location. The kitchen, living room and Master Suite were spacious and very nice. The outside “rooftop” BBQ area was small and a little disappointing but the location was so good we just went out when we wanted outdoor patio time.
The garage was very convenient and
Vacasa was very easy to work with.
We give 4 1/2 stars and recommend it.

Great house in the Funk Zone!

The location is amazing making it easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, the beach or just stroll around tasting wine. Great to have garage parking and home was appointed well. Minor complaint is that the pillows could be replaced or offer more options as they are very flat and both my husband and I walked away from our stay with sore necks. Note asking us not to use the elevator which was fine for us but should be noted and while we didn’t cook or grill it appeared that the grill may not be functioning and the balcony fireplace had a note apologizing for it being broken. That being said, we still loved this place and will definitely book again if we return to the area.

A bit of backdrop on me, I own short term vacation rentals so I always judge my stays v what I own. I will say this place was in an excellent location with a beautiful upstairs outdoor loft. But outside of that it wasn't so memorable. First off, the internet instructions provided were inaccurate and the internet was never fixed. We dealt with the internet our entire stay. Second, the dishwasher was broken. We notified Vacasa immediately and we were told they would send a service repair out. Never happened so we just wrote it off. Last but not least, there was a constant ant infestation and it only got worse. Once again, we notified Vacasa about the problem and they replied “Thank you for letting us know”. Basically did nothing about it. Noticed there was ant spray underneath the sink which to me means its a recurring problem. For the amount we paid, I would not recommend

This place was spectacular ! Great location, lovely home with plenty of room. We totally enjoyed out time here and would highly recommend it.

Mostly great. Unit had everything we needed, cupboards well marked, all features (showers, TV, kitchen etc) top grade. A few minor issues arose, but owner responsive to address where possible. Location fantastic. Items needing addressing: 1) wi-fi instructions incorrect, and we had to find and reboot router; @0 AC didn't seem to work but moot with fine weather; 3) Dishwasher didn't work would show error message "won't drain" even though water poured in did drain; 4) enter cyber system VERY annoying - 10 digits long (!) not much time to twist deadbolt before cancelling, very awkward to hold phone in one hand and enter 10 digits in dark hall and open before it cancelled. It usually took 2-4 tries to get in. I would think a 4 digit code (like I have on my house) would do the job. Annoying enough I might not stay there again even though rest of unit so nice.

Awesome house, even more incredible location!

Love this place! Convenient, super comfy, totally equipped gorgeous kitchen! Plenty of room and privacy for two couples. Three blocks to the beach for a stroll to the end of Stearn’s Wharf! Fantastic restaurants all within walking distance. After a day we felt like locals. Do yourself a favor. Just book this place. You’ll be happy you did! Can’t wait to enjoy it again!

An easy walk to restaurants, shopping, and beach. House is immaculate. However, the rooftop fireplace doesn’t work, which is the feature we were looking to use the most for the cool Santa Barbara evenings. We were planning on many nights BBQ on the rooftop deck, so this was disappointing. We did contact Vacasa to get this addressed on our very first night of arrival. We were told that someone will come out to the property around 9 am to address the problem. We waited for 90 minutes and no one showed. However, we received a call to ask for details of the problem again. We had to repeat the details with 3 different representatives with no resolution, no notification, no follow-up to the fireplace problem. We stayed for 5 nights without the main feature that attracts our attention to rent this property in the first place.
The hot/cold water regulator for the master bathroom shower is clearly broken, since it’s flopping around. This should have been addressed/fixed. It was too hot to use, so we are down to one working shower. Master bathroom sink was also a problem with getting stuck on hot.
To be fair, we did not address the hot water issues, since we couldn’t afford the time to spend with Vacasa for no resolution. Each time we reached out to Vacasa, it took 25-30 minutes on hold for a representative.
This property could have been an easy 5 star rating if the management company was responsive and address our problem.

We found this property very disappointing. It is old and needs many updates. The carpets rugs and furniture are terribly stained. The bath tile in the shower had mildew. The outdoor furniture was filthy nobody would want to sit in it. The beds were old and bedding really used. Paint was peeling up on baseboards and walls and banged up and marked up. It was stuffing and smelled bad. We called on arrival and said we didn’t feel comfortable staying - the management said the property met their standards and there was nothing to be done - we left and paid for different accommodations- no refund - this was my first and last time ever using VRBO.

This is one of the best locations to explore all of what Santa Barbara has to offer. Within walking distance of State Street and in the heart of the Funk Zone, if you’re looking to explore Santa Barbara, it is tough to find a better location. The views of the mountains from the rooftop deck are amazing. Had a wonderful stay, home is clean and management company was readily available for any questions. 10/10!

We stayed mid-Dec to mid-Feb. Santa Barbara weather in the winter averages about 70 degrees during the day and drops nicely at night so that air conditioning is not needed. The location is superb... just half a block to the Dart coffee shop, and there's a nice Mediterranean deli right across the street. Many great restaurants/bars/tasting rooms in the area, and it's an easy walk to the beachfront or up State Street to downtown. We even made the walk to Montecito a few times which is about 4 miles one way. Or you can rent bikes for as low as $200/month.
The only negative about the location is its proximity to Highway 101, so you need to get used to the noise if you like leaving the windows open at night. You will also hear the Amtrak trains blowing their horns every morning which is just part of being in this area. Neither of these issues bothered us, but it's good to be aware before booking.
The best thing about the location was that we hardly needed to use our vehicle other than to pick up groceries or seek out a winery or a golf course.
The villa itself is quite large and comfortable. There are two villas in the building and this one is on the street side. There are quite a few steps up to the main floor either through the garage or up to the front door. Inside, you have a guest suite on the main floor with the kitchen/dining and TV room.
Upstairs is the primary suite with a nice little fireplace and a large walk-in closet. The outdoor kitchen is also on the second level. It gets morning sun, but we really only used it when we were grilling. The spaces are well-appointed and Turnkey was very responsive to any issues. From the perspective of a long term renter, it would have been nice to have at least one king size bed and a second TV in one of the rooms.
We were initially worried about parking my 4-door pickup in the garage, but there was plenty of space.
Overall, it was a great stay and we'd recommend the villa to anyone who wants to be in the middle of the action.

Quintessential Santa Barbara
We spent three nights for a mother/daughter weekend. This property did not disappoint. Not only did it meet our expectations it truly exceeded them. The property was clean and well appointed and of course the central location was a hit, as well as the rooftop patio and it’s views. Turnkey Management did an excellent job of communicating with us every step of the way including little details about the house. I would definitely rent this beautiful property again.

The attractive two bedroom, two bath, property is well located. The layout is ideal: each bedroom has an ensuite bath and large closet on a different level. Loved the kitchen and baths. Ideal for those who plan on cooking. Furnishings are more modest. They are a bit disappointing relative to the villa itself. Some cushions and carpets have stains The house has a wonderful outside space on the upper level. We didn't use the grill. But we did try and use the outdoor gas fireplace which wouldn’t ignite. The views from the upper level patio are lovely. Again, outddor furniture cushions need to be cleaned or replaced. Plenty of room for two cars in the garage, which is shared with an adjoining unit. Overall, a very good experience and we would love to stay again.

Beautiful property - high end finishes, beautiful tile, landscaping. We didn’t really use the kitchen but it’s well stocked. Garage isn’t very secure so make sure to lock and don’t keep anything valuable in car. Bring a speaker if you want to listen to music on upstairs patio. Walking distance to everything- great restaurants and shops, beach, pier.
