Great location in a quaint property for travel to Oxford by car or public transport. Great host who was very helpful and accommodating with requests for assistance. Light breakfast available which was nice and served in beautiful room. Ample free parking and excellent free WiFi. Would book again when next in the area. Thank you.
Everything was fine for the purpose of our trip which was a work conference in Oxford.

Convenient to Bicester
Tattiness and noisy busy junction location

Handy location
Website describes something totally different to this place. It’s run down and like an immigrant halfway house. Totally unacceptable and not as advertised.

Location
The hotel was quite run down. Damaged fittings. Lights not working. No heating in bathroom. Breakfast was poor.

Clean linen & towels
Everything else !
Dirty, shabby, leaked stained walls & ceiling, poor toiletries, no lampshade on lamp with dodgy connection, misleading info in folder - states hot full English breakfast when no hot food was available, only bread for toast & a couple of sachets of cereal. Very out of date photos & info on website , exterior & interior decor is shabby & dirty.

Nothing
The photos are totally miss leading They were probably taken year's ago, check TripAdvisor before booking this hotel. The place is dirty and run down...would not recommend this property at all. Booked the hotel for my elderly parents, they were so upset by the state of the place they checked straight out. Booked another hotel up the road...hotel refused to refund and take responsibility for the false advertisement of the property... unexceptable

Nothing whatsoever I entered a cold cold old building that at 5.45 was in darkness there is zero facility’s it was dirty damp I was escorted via a filthy corridor up a staircase the owner receptionist whatever let me into a room that was sub zero. As all windows were open
I said it was freezing to be told the heating came on at 11 at night !! I was told he would Bring up a heater
I went to look into the bathroom but was passed at the door by the receptionist/ owner who jumped into the bath pulled off the shower head from the rail turned shower on jumped out and then told me it would be around 15 minutes to warm up !!! It was comical to say the least I went back in room took a look around and thought what have I done to deserve this after 20 minutes the shower was tepid to say the least I had a quick wash down.
I was freezing and made the decision I could not stay I picked up my belongings and made an exit after 45 minutes of entering the place !!
The receptionist iwner was following me out the building begging to come back
It was crazy crazy

Location is ideal for Bicester and surrounding villages.
The hotel and rooms were cold with a very poor heating system. Despite running the hot top for considerable time the water did not get hot. We tried 2 rooms and the shower did not work in either room.

The Jersey Arms Hotel combines history, comfort, and warm service. It’s not just a place to rest; it’s an experience. I highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking authenticity and a touch of old-world charm.
nothing at all

The staff at this hotel were so friendly. The hotel is in much peaceful location. Whether the restaurant was closed but the market with large brands of foods and shopping centres just two miles away. We just reached there in five minutes. It was awesome experience, We love to stay here again. Thank you so much for lovely and memorable experience.

Nothing
I booked this hotel under the principle of the serving hot food and cooked breakfast as their photos show on the booking website only to be told on the day of arrival that there is no cooked food as restaurant is closed due to redevelopment and there is only continental breakfast available, when i spoke to the hotel I was not offered any refund and had to pay for a room I didn't even stay in a real rip off !!

There was no heating , so cold , toilet didn’t flush, bathroom disgusting would not even have a shower, plaster falling off the walls, could not have anything to eat there, not even a drink when we came back, breakfast was disgusting, should not be open really well disappointed, everyone that stayed there had to go down the road to the pub. They were all well disgusted about the place.

So it was clear that the hotel is under new management and the staff are the best bit about the place - really helpful and accommodating and friendly. My bed was comfortable and I was happy with the cleanliness. The continental breakfast was perfectly fine for me and I appreciated the proximity to the M40 for my journey the next day. I didn't mind that there wasn't a restaurant or inn-style atmosphere as I was travelling for work and arrived late so was just looking for a pitstop.
The property needs some investment. I didn't mind the furnishings being a bit old or rundown but my room was very cold. The radiator was on so clearly they were trying to warm it up but it just didn't throw out enough heat for what is an old stone building. I did visit on the coldest day of the year so far so decided just to put up with it but actually I was too cold at night and the bathroom was freezing. There was a portable heater in the room so clearly it is a problem - but it had a broken switch and I was wary of using an appliance with a fault. I also could have done with better exterior lighting - I arrived in the dark, missed the car park and it was a little off-putting. Investment in the property will solve these things.

It was near to where I was going.
The website advertised pictures of a full English breakfast, when I asked about breakfast, was told they didn’t do breakfast, but I did find a poorly stocked breakfast room, a few slices of bread neat to a toaster, no hot water for coffee, 2 individual packets of cereal and 3 yogurts. Only ever saw one member of staff, the reception is manned 7am-11pm, yet lights were still off when I left at 8:30am. The room had dirty carpets, no soap in the dispensers, got woke up about 4or5am, due to what I think was a water heater whining noise from another room. The bar, 3 out of the 5 pumps were dry, there were metal grids in front of the bar and you were served though a gap and the it had now change.

Stayed several times, all rooms have there own personality.
Continental rather than full English breakfast.

We chose this B&B as it was close to where we needed to be. There was nothing else to like about this place.
Advertised as B&B, but as we were travelling to the jersey arms we had an email from them saying sorry no breakfast, making it sound like it was a recent problem. On arrival we were told by staff that they had not made breakfast since February 2023. Only Two members of staff and quite clearly unable to cope with the tasks expected of them. Outside areas were dirty and unkempt ,rooms were clean but showing signs of wear and tear, carpets dirty and bathroom needed repairs.
An offer of a refund for breakfast has been given but as yet not received.

Location was great for work.
A couple of things made this stay really unpleasant.
The two young lads who seem to be running the pub/bnb decided to have friends over for a party right next to my room. I was woken up at 3am to loud screaming and shouting, and I mean really loud. This went on to 6am even after numerous attempts to shout out the window and bang on the walls to get them to be quiet. I was up for work at 7am so didn't manage to get back to sleep.
They must of had such a good time that they were nowhere to be seen in the morning to serve a couple their breakfast which they've paid for.
I think this is absolutely shocking from staff, I was fuming to be honest.
Another downfall was that both sink taps ran hot water, so I had no access to cold drinking water.

Attractive old building; room was well cleaned and equipped; reasonable value
Room well equipped for its age but could use some minor repairs - wall damage where a towel rail had pulled out, paint and plaster damage elsewhere. Electric shower not brilliant. Breakfast (which I hadn't pre-ordered but sign said it would have been refunded) was cancelled without notice. Advice if you stay here: if you arrive after dark, know that the unlit not-well-signed carpark is across the road; and request a room not on the main road side of the building - the traffic noise is intolerable if you want the window open.

Nothing
We didnt even check in, hotel tried to charge more than £100 more at check in, all other guests were leaving saying it was a s**t hole, we left without checking in.

The bed was comfortable
The staff were rude and had bad attitudes. Breakfast was unavailable the next day although we paid for this. We were promised a refund but no one was at reception to arrange this. We waited for 20 minutes in reception and the staff were all hiding in their rooms. The hotel needs redecorating and looked nothing like the photos on your website. The cost for a night is now £55 but we paid £80 very bad experience.

Nice clean room
We paid extra for a cooked breakfast this was unavailable you couldn't order a evening meal either as the kitchen was out of use. There was literally a young person on their own doing check ins check outs and running the bar although he was really nice it really let down the stay as he couldn't keep up with demands.
