Exceptional Stay at Lake Tekapo

Great for a large group

Number of bedrooms and bathrooms was great for a big group. The property is new, sunny and warm.

Lack of pantry made it a bit difficult to store food which we had brought to cook with, basic utensils available, not enough big bowls and trays to cook with.

Great place to stay for a large group.

clean n comfortable Netflix ensuites in 3 bedrooms free wifi that works well

kitchen equipment n utensils were lacking. No big pots for a large group. No instruction manual on how to operate kitchen stove, ovens etc. However phone calls for assistance were promptly attended to by the service staff.

Near new house but has pest problem

The location and that it is a new house

We booked a five-bedroom house for 2 nights. However there was mouse infestation. There was mouse poop everywhere. We found the mouse droppings in the kitchen, the pillows, the bed sheets, floor throughout the house. In the night, we also heard the mouse scratchings. Some of them entered our suitcases, contaminating our clothes. We were moved into a 4 bedroom house on the second night of our two nights stay, which didn't have the mice problem. We have asked for a 50% refund which we thought is more than fair given that the first night was ruined and the replacement house was smaller in bedrooms. However, even though we had asked for a 50% refund, we were given less than that. The owner was accommodating in moving us, but they were not reasonable in terms of the refund amount.

Was a wonderfull place to stay esp with ensuites when there is 5 couples, would use againhen

Would like a proper dish cloth more than one teaowel when there was 10 people and a floor mop for floor spills

We had a great stay and would go back.

The house was lovely. We loved the big bedrooms with en-suites and the large family bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and had nice linen. It was good to have a washing machine and dryer. We liked the fact that someone came around each morning to ask if there was anything we needed.

The kitchen was very nice but definitely lacked utensils. There were no bowls, basins, tongs, placemats, peelers. I think it is designed to eat out but we wanted to self cater. We would have liked to watch live TV, the rugby and news but there was only Netflix.

Awesome

Support was incredible. The previous guests had broken a fry pan and not told the owners. I called them up to ask for a new frypan, and it felt like no sooner had I got off the phone that there was a knock at the door and the owner was standing there with a new fry pan. Absolute life saver, thanks!

no view of the Lake, 2 broken chairs, not enough lounge chairs for the number of people it could accomodate, only 4 wine glasses, not very clean, no bowls for serving, no dish cloth for wiping bench, water in shower took along time to drain., expected some milk to be in the fridge,

Easy location and nice modern interior. The tv is massive and the beds are comfortable.

The kitchen is small and under-equipped for a house with some many beds. More cooking utensils would be helpful

Wonderful and would recommend to everyone

The place was easy to locate. The whole apartment was well furnished and very clean. There were 5 big rooms with 2 toilets and 3 bathrooms with toilets, enough to well accommodate our group of 7 adults and 4 children. We were also able to cook for most of the time as the kitchen was well equipped. The environment was very peaceful at night. Our experience was complete when we were able to see the stars in the clear dark skies by just walking out of the house. Highly recommended for anyone who needs accommodation at Lake Tekapo.

We only had a slight hiccup with the oven that we couldn’t turn on but it was not a deal breaker.

Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. Responsive property manager when trying to contact with.

Kitchen was not equipped to cater for a group of more than 4 people considering the house can accommodate up to 10 people which was very disappointing. There were only 4 small pots. There were no serving bowls or dishes. There could be more tea towels, detergents, wiping cloths, dishwashing powders and sponges. The kitchen was not cleaned properly as there were food crumbs in the cupboards , drawers and shelves and on the floor. The house floor was not vacuumed and was very obvious on the laminated floors where we can see the dust and food crumbs. Dining chairs can do with a clean as there were stain marks on them.

This is a very new home, well equipped and good setting for a group. Excellent layout and clean and tidy. all of us enjoyed the stay.

The TV does hook up so can’t watch the news
