About this house rental
Enjoy this North Shore 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in the beautiful Hawaiian countryside with stunning mountain views. It's a perfect place to unwind for your North Shore get-away. There is a Queen bed in the bedroom, and the living room has 2 pull-out memory foam sofa beds - 1 queen size, 1 full size. This rental sleeps up to 6 people. This unit has its own private full bathroom and kitchenette (no stove, but has a hotplate), plus access to washer/dryer, and is situated on a gated estate with lots of tropical fruit! There is an air conditioning unit in the living room which you are welcome to use to keep cool while you are enjoying the unit. Close to Haleiwa town, Waialua & Mokuleia beaches, hikes, surf, shopping and everything else the North Shore has to offer.
You can pick delicious fresh fruit straight from the organic farm orchards on the property - mangos, papayas, guavas, avocados, lychee, dragonfruit, oranges, grapefruit, apples, dragoneye, bananas, macadamia nuts - depending what's in season when you visit. There is a beautiful beach with a few amazing surf breaks right down the street! It's about 2.5 blocks to the ocean, about a 10 minute walk! Rinse off in one of our hot outdoor showers under the sunset sky when you come home from the beach as the moon and stars come out for the night.
The property is located in a country neighborhood with typical pet and country animal noises (roosters, dogs, etc.) There are dogs on property in a gated area. The tenants who live on property will allow them to run freely through the yard for exercise two or three times per day then bring them up to their house each evening. There is a gate with a padlock that you will need to put a code into and then manually push a gate open and close behind you every time you enter and exit the property.
This is a quiet country setting, so expect to hear typical country sounds like dogs, roosters, people & road noise. You can hear big waves crashing in winter during high surf season. You will occasionally hear EMS vehicle sirens if they are driving by in response to emergencies and the once-monthly testing of sirens at 11:45am on the 1st business day of the month. The neighborhood dogs will howl at the sirens. A few times per year, people in the neighborhood light off fireworks at night.
Long-term tenants/ other rentals on property. Please do not bring animals to this property. There is a dog on property who loves people but does not like other dogs. For everyone's safety, please do not bring animals to this property! The place was small but we had plenty of room for our group. My only complaint was when you stepped outside all you could smell was dog poop and the trampoline was not safe for kids.

The advantages of staying there became apparent as we stayed longer. Initially we became aware that there was No stove, dresser space, small bathroom, manual padlock each time you entered and left the place. For children this is an awesome place as there were lots of animals around; dogs, puppies, chickens, all kinds of birds and gecko varieties. Tree swings, and a feeling of being safe and able to walk around for children was wonderful. The bed n the one room was comfortable. Air conditioning cooled down front room immediately; lots of fans. Lots of fresh fruit to pick; guava, mangos, avocados, etc. People who were staying there were very friendly and welcoming. Although not too close to the beach, had wonderful food at every place we ate at in Haleiwa and never had to wait to be seated very long. The washer and dryer were a big plus too.

Nice property with multiple rental options on the property. Mango trees and other fruit available to pick when in season. Washer and dryer premises on property for guests use.

The host was extremely detailed and clear on the check in process. The house was perfect for two couples. Had fruit trees around the property!

Peaceful, rural feel to the place and the property. The quiet beach was a short walk away from the property. Responsive hosts to issues or concerns.

The description was very deceptive…the WiFi was slow and of poor quality, there was no hot tub or pool, the space was extremely small and the kitchen was very minimal. It stated a stovetop which equated to a small two burner electric “stove” that could barely accommodate two 2 qt. pots (we were trying to make meals for a family of 5). There was a grill but no propane. It was three rooms attached to a larger dwelling that had permanent tenants who were raising chickens and dogs on the property so we woke up to crowing roosters and howling dogs every morning. There were other VRBO rentals on the property. There was also old and decrepit shipping containers and other junk on the property like old cars and such. There is a reason there are only three pictures of the same rooms. We ended up leaving a day early and going back to a hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Tina's north shore cottage. The hustle/bustle of the big city (Honolulu) or resorts (Waikiki; Ko Olina) are not really our pace. Tina's rental was absolutely perfect. It was clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. There were thoughtful touches like beach towels, beach toys, access to laundry. We enjoyed fresh mango, star fruit, guava and macademia nuts daily.
For us, this location was perfect. Close to Hale'iwa we ended up there daily for dinner, water play, and poking around the cute little shops. We also did our own "circle tours" and took in all parts of the island - 40 min to the airport; 45min to Ko Olina for a luau and snorkel tour, 15 min from Dole Plantation, 30 min from Turtle Bay, etc...
We made friends with the resident pups and the property resident, Jake (?), was friendly and informative - telling us about what fruits were on the property and telling us about the Noni fruit outside our door.
All-in-all, we thoroughly enjoyed this stay and highly recommend.

Charming farm home. Very friendly hosts who gave us access to mature fruit trees. Roosters will wake you up at 6 am, but thats a good thing because it'll allow you to start the day early.

The place was clean & had all the amenities we needed. I was grateful for the coffee, hand& dish soap,a/c,outdoor shower, friendly neighbors, good communication with the property manager. The dogs were well behaved! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Had a great time at this spot just outside of Haleiwa. Was super nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. The nearby beach public access takes you to a very quiet and quaint spot that is excellent for relaxing. The bedroom can stay kinda warm at night if you need the door closed, but other than that, you can't beat the location/price for the area.

Host was friendly, property was nice and fenced and full of fruit trees. The location was perfect for us, away from the downtown and most touristy areas. As someone who likes to cook some meals at home, it was a struggle for a family of five. What I would consider the basics for cooking they didn’t have. Everything else about the home was just so-so, a place to stay. There are three big windows in the main room with a gorgeous view of the mountainside, but curtains only on 2 of the 3 and a bright street light shined in all night. AC is just a window unit and doesn’t reach the back bedroom too well and you definitely can’t close the door at night. The temperature was good and we were comfortable, but just mentioning so others are aware. Maybe a floor fan for the back room as the ceiling fan might not be enough. One thing I appreciated was that the listing mentioned the use of essential oils to clean versus chemicals. We are sensitive to scented linen and cleaning supplies so the lack of those was a plus for us. There is a gorgeous beach super close that doesn’t get too busy. This was also a plus. All around good stay. Thank you.

Great place to stay. Only thing there’s no street sign for road of location. If you don’t use google maps or Waze you will drive past it. Otherwise it was awesome. Host was very nice and we even got fresh eggs to enjoy. I would definitely stay again.

Tina was so pleasant and helpful.
The doggoes wagged their tails for us.
Having a washer and dryer available was a convenient bonus.
Being able to park our rental car inside a locked gate was comforting.
Would definitely like to stay here again.

The place is wonderful! We enjoyed seeing all the green trees around us. Very easy to check-in. Very close to the beach and other well known places in North Shore. The place was clean and they provided enough towels and other beach accessories. My only recommendation to the Property Owner is to provide a mirror in the bedroom and change bathroom shower curtain. Other than that, my family and I were very satisfied with our stay. :)

I absolutely loved staying here. It is a magical property with fruit, flowers, puppies, chickens and a trampoline! The space was clean, airy, bright and comfortable. It is out of the way of the Haleiwa bustle but an easy drive to access beaches, ranches, hikes and amenities. The host was very responsive and the other people staying and working at the property were friendly and welcoming. I would 100% stay here again!

The whole stay was excellent! Tina was a great host and super sweet! We felt like at home with a sense of security! And my wife and I loved the fruit trees and the greenery! We will definitely come back!

The house was perfect for 5 people, property was beautiful and close to many of the beaches and activities on the north shore of Oahu. The trampoline was fun and the locked gate in front of the property made us feel extra safe! Would stay here again!

The property was nice and tenants on the property were very welcoming and accommodating. However, if you’re not familiar with the locals, then be prepared for some neighbors who like to light up fireworks. Though it may be rare, it happened when we were there. And if you need a morning wake up call, no worries, roosters got your back. We are used to things like these and had a very nice stay.

We couldn’t be more satisfied with our stay. Tina and her husband were great hosts and the house was clean and extremely comfortable with a great AC and beach gear that we needed. It was a home away from home in the best part of Oahu.

We loved our stay in North Oahu! The cottage was clean and ready for our stay. The directions for arrival and check-in were clear and thorough.
My one note would be to maybe include some more dishes. There were not enough dishes for all five of our family members to eat at the same time. Since the property is advertised for six, it would be nice to have enough dishes for six. The coffee cups were also teeny tiny which was tough for these coffee addicts LOL.
All in all, a GORGEOUS property and a wonderful experience. We would definitely stay again.

Our family of six enjoyed this nice spot. The kids loved jumping on the trampoline and exploring the property. It was a bonus to have chickens and cute doggies to look at. The walk to the beach was thru a nice neighborhood and the beach itself was full of surfers and nice swimming/snorkeling.

We stayed here to attend a wedding and it was perfect for us. The property manager and family were very kind. Directions were easy and the surroundings are beautiful. It’s the perfect place to get away from the city and enjoy a more rural area, yet not too far from shopping. The beach is close too!

We were there for a surf contest and the property was perfect for us. Close to hikes during lay days.
The family on property were very sweet and helpful during our stay.
We would stay again🤙🏻

If you need a place to crash after beach this is it. Enough space for me, and my mom plus two of my sons and one of my sons gf. No ac in the bedroom but the ceiling fans helped and the ac in the living room was perfect and made it comfortable as the humidity was high this week. However there was no curtain in the bathroom so hung a pareo wrap bc the bathroom faced the patio of the front house and could see in. And you would need to lock and unlock the gate every time you enter or leave the property. Other than that had a nice stay…didn’t get a chance to enjoy or explore the many fruit trees on the property but found a good avocado that had fallen from the tree and it was so huge and buttery soo soo good I looked for avocado everyday but was unsuccessful after that one lol. Anyways if you want to experience the country beach life this is the place!!

Had a great experience staying at this location. Enough sleeping area for a family of six and no issues at all. Host was very nice and even gave us some avocados fresh from the garden. Location was very close to the beaches and few grocery store and restaurants. Less busy than Honolulu area for sure

We had a really nice stay at this place. It was clean and set up for us when we arrived. The passcode for the gate and door made it easy to come and go. The location is a bit away from the main town, which was nice and quiet with a walkable beach of our own.

A Country Retreat
We so enjoyed this property in the beautiful country of North Shore! It was exactly what we wanted to be able to hit great snorkel spots during the day and go to Hale’iwa in the evening for dinner and drinks. A very simple country life, and we loved every minute. The family in the front house was also very kind any time we crossed paths.

Everything I was imagining
The rooms were clean and big enough. There was AC and enough fans to keep us comfortable. The gorgeous beach is in walking distance. We will be back!!

Perfect to have a place to crash
Perfect place if you just need a place to stay and don’t want much else. Clean and plenty of room for 6 to sleep.
