Comfortable stay- would stay again

Fine in every way but very noisy.

The food was good and there was plenty on the plate, Staff were friendly and attentive, the room was large enough for three people.and clean.

The Pub was noisy but that's okay but it went on much too late and some others came in about 3am making lots of noise, the problem is that the outside door is just next to our room so every time someone enters or leaves the building it makes a racket.

Would recommend the food

Evening meal was lovely. Lounge was nice to sit in. Bed was comfy.

Not the owners fault but we were wakened at 2.0 am with a couple next door who talked for an hour, so hard to get back to sleep. Chef slept in for breakfast but once it came it was good.

Lovley rooms nice and warm and food excellent

Breakfast was very good 😊 my husband throughly enjoyed it every day and so did my brother in law they both had the big breakfast every day infact they where given two sausages every day along with eggs and and bacon and mushrooms one day they had leave a sausage just too much

Absolutely nothing any more they wouldn’t be able to go out for the day

Great location for Newby, friendly staff, fantastic food

Proximity to Newby Hall was great, we were there for the Harrogate Flower Show and it was a 5 minute drive so very handy. The staff were really friendly, and the food was delicious. We had evening meals and breakfast and both were great, we’ve already booked to come back and stay for next year’s show!

Friendly hospitable great pub ideal for racecourse visits

Seamus the host was great.Even gave us a lift in his open top car to Ripon Racecourse down the road.Had a great meal in the bar after the racing and a lovely full English breakfast the next morning.Highly recommend

Comfy and clean bed. Friendly bar staff.

Bathroom didn’t feel super clean and toiletries had been used by previous guests and left with very little product.

We attended a wedding in Ripon so the blackmoor inn was approximately a mile away Plenty of parking Staff were very accommodating and friendly Comfortably bed

Staff couldn't be more accommodating, drove us into Ripon when we needed to go out. Lovely rural views and very cosy room.

Charming rural pub.

Breakfast was fine - basically, help yourself to the cereal and the like, and a guy would cook whatever you like. Charming pub, quiet location outside town. We had dinner there, which was nice too.

No problems. Probably difficult without a car though.

Fantastic place. Great staff who couldn't do more to help and make my young son feel very comfortable. Lovely room, very spacious. Lovely food also served in a very peaceful restaurant. Very comfortable bed

Very cosy bar and lovely rooms. The food was excellent in the restaurant.

There was nothing to dislike about the property. Only a minor thing that we would have appreciated a complimentary bottle of water in the room.

Room was in need of repair the bathroom was old and dated dirty by shower screen tried to book dinner told reduced menu of soup pate steak pie or fish and chips loud live music from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm below room complained to the owner and his wife we were not made aware of this before booking showed no interest at all booked in for two nights only stayed one refused refund by owner the room was cold heating on at 4.00 pm and went off hours later very cold in middle of night marks on the wall wardrobe with doors removed room needs repair restaurant menu not worth anything owner not very helpful when needed

I would very happily return.

It was a bonus to be able to park the car easily with no pre booking or any of the awkward things you have to do with larger hotels. We had three different rooms, all were great and when the radiators were on, very cosy. Breakfast was excellent and the overall feel of it all was ideal for us.

The restaurant was closed the two nights we were there which meant having to go out again to eat and I was looking forward to tasting the food.
