This property is great…if you are a recent college grad who still hasn’t figured out how to clean up after yourself and can look past dirt and grime, this place is for you! Strongly recommend bringing flip flops to walk around the bedrooms unless you like randomly sticking to the uncleaned floors. The downstairs isn’t terrible, but once you walk up the uneven steps to the bedrooms, you have entered what can only be described as a leftover party scene. Dirt and goo have been left on the floors, intentionally overlooked as upon first blush they could look like the floor pattern….except they are not. I was told by the property manager that the cleaning crew claimed they were wood glue spots and they didn’t want to stick up the place using GooGone to remove it. Now, I’m not sure what is different about GooGone in Louisiana, but the smell is orange everywhere else and definitely not offensive to the nose. I sent a video to the manager of me removing the filth with Clorox and a paper towel, but he stood by the cleaner’s claim. Now, they can say what they want about the floors, but they left an empty pill bottle and a dirty sock under the edge of a bed, so that leads me to believe they don’t even really look that closely at the floor. Beyond that, there are layers of spilt beverages under the beds, dust bunnies along the floor boards that are the size of a quarter, broken bathroom fixtures, and stains on the sheets. Now, there is one plus to the place, the water pressure is great!

The place was close enough to the university that it was very convenient to drive to the campus for the tour and a basketball game. It’s not close enough to walk.

We booked this property in months in advance. We received our check in details the day before we were to check in. We were in route and happened to notice a message stating our reservation was canceled @12:42 when we were to check in @5! I immediately sent a message back asking for more information. No response until 7:27pm stating there were construction issues with the previous tenants. This was on a Friday, yet the property was relisted on Monday. There was a huge event at LSU this weekend, so by this point, there weren’t many budget friendly options left available. Seems a bit sketchy in my opinion since I’ve read many other’s reservations were canceled and then relished at a much higher cost due to demand. Very disappointing and very poor communication!

Very nice place to stay. Close to LSU. The Host was very nice, he checked with us soon after we checked in to be sure everything was to our satisfaction.

We were very pleased with our stay overall.
Better supplies would be a suggestion.
We were very comfortable and the place was very conveniently located for us.

This place was exactly what we needed. We were there for orientation at LSU and this property was about 2 miles to the campus. With traffic it took about 10 min. Brett was very friendly and excellent to work with!

If you only need a place for one night near LSU, this one wins!
It was disappointing for our week-long family vacation, though. We used it as a base to visit LSU, get some bayou country food, easy drive to NOLA, etc.
First, the owner, Brett, was good. He answered the phone and got things fixed as quickly as possible. Top notch on his part.
However...
When we arrived after 5 PM, the place hadn't been cleaned since the previous renters. Beds, towels, trash, dirty dishes, etc.
We had to vacate the unit for 2-1/2 hours for cleaning. They missed the stained comforters and old food still sitting in the microwave. Everything else was fresh and clean, but it feels like I paid twice for cleaning.
Listing said the unit has toys and board games: There was a single deck of cards.
Listing said there is patio furniture: there isn't even a patio, let alone furniture.
Listing said there is shampoo and soap in the bathrooms: we had to go shop for our own.
Listing said the fridge has an ice-maker. It does not.
The dining table is bowed in the middle like a saddle.
Small bugs/roaches scurry around the kitchen and trashcan in the mornings.
One closet in one bedroom is available for luggage, the rest are locked out.
Mostly 1980's décor (complete with stained popcorn ceiling) is punctuated by dozens of Christian faith-mongering signs, books, etc., most of which aren't legible in the VRBO photos. Odd.
Don't expect to sleep well, between the noisy street, beds, floors and neighbors.

Cozy 2 bedroom in a family neighborhood close to everything! The rental was fully outfitted with anything you could possibly need, even a wine opener, iron, blow dryer. It's beautifully decorated and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, we even made friends with a few of the neighbors on our stay! (If you go please say hi to Butters, the friendly black pug 😂) Brett was responsive and helpful to requests, even providing his personal number to us. I do enjoy a softer mattress, that is literally my only possible complaint, as they are firm. Close to everything and perfect for 2 to 6 people.

This adorable townhome is located in the middle of the action. Close to LSU, shopping and food. The owners were very responsive to any questions or requests. We would highly recommend when visiting Baton Rouge!

This place will truly hold a special place in our hearts. The atmosphere was great, the neighborhood was easy to find and quiet, everything you need is within a 1 to half a mile distance, and the house felt like home! It was truly a great place to make memories and just relax while enjoying family.

It was a nice place. I like the place. If I was going to say anything negative it would be that I like a plush mattress and it was a firm. Other than that I enjoyed it

All 4 of us were a little taken aback when we drove into the neighborhood. It looked like an upper middle class neighborhood that was beginning to run down. We actually worried a little for our safety. We had absolutely no problems and our fears were unfounded. The rental was neat and clean although it does need a good paint job inside. I had asked the owner if there was a crock pot in the rental and his reply was that he could "rent one for us" but it would cost us an extra $20.00. I decided if I wanted a crock pot I would bring one from home that wouldn't cost me a dollar. Be aware that the dinnerware, silverware, & cookware are very limited. We either had to wash dishes by hand or use the dishwasher after every meal because there was only a 4 place setting. There were no hot pads, no tea pitcher, there were 2 cookie sheets, and 2 pans to cook in. There was only 1 - 10 inch skillet to fry anything in. I could fry exactly 2 1/2 slices of bacon at a time but everything stuck in the bottom of it. The beds slept well but there was no place to put a suitcase in the bedrooms except on the floor. Would we stay there again, probably. It is a cute place with a lot of charm. I understand an owner would not want to put high end kitchen utensils in a rental but he should also think what he would like if he were renting a place. A paint job, a few more dishes, a decent skillet and maybe even a crock pot would go a long way toward customer satisfaction.

This place was perfect for our weekend stay.. The proximity to LSU is great and the condo was very clean, pretty and comfortable. I loved the chalk walls! The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice too. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future!

Nice clean and comfy......Spirit of Awe 😊
Very nice clean and comfy. Great for 2 or 4 people.
Once you enter the home, it seems to welcome and embrace you. The home has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Nice neighborhood. Love the inspirational quotes all the the home, it's really uplifting. Don't forget to write on the guest wall and write in the guest book. Excellent experience, had no problems, so there was no need to contact hosts. Thanks ❤ Brett and Rebecca! When I'm back in the area, I will be sure to book with you.
