Staff was nice. Room had mold and mildew in the bathroom and living area. Carpets and tile floors always wet/damp. Not a healthy environment. Was told no ofher rooms were available. Will never stay here again

We travel to Baton Rouge for business once or twice a year and we've been staying at the Embassy Suites for the last 6 or so visits. We love the location, the hotel layout and rooms, and the breakfast.
However, the rooms are starting to show their age. Our ceiling in the bathroom was leaking water due to the AC.
The first maintenance person emptied the overflow tray but didn't fix the problem. The next day was the same issue with water all over the bathroom. The 2nd maintenance person fixed it. We probably won't stay here again until they update the rooms.

I will say that customer service at this hotel was great. We had excellent encounters at the front desk and at the restaurant/ bar. The hotel overall needs an update. Lots of signs of wear and poor upkeep. Poor paint repairs, rails falling in elevator, rusted door knobs, corroded showers, pillows hard like rocks, and bed was so soft uncomfortable.

The check in process was great and seemless. The rooms however our outdated. The toilet barely flushed and we had to continue to ask for towel for 3 people. Breakfast was just ok but for the short trip we had the overall hotel experience was just ok.
I'm not sure I would book again if i have another option I may not.

Mrs Chelmire the front desk lead was amazing. She went over and beyond for me. I came in from Houston and she made my stay so pleasant and so I look forward when I’m in town visiting my family to stay here and have here book all my rooms

Property old and not maintained up to standards. Slow flushing toilets, old painted walls. Although housekeeping were nice, did not understand English so not always being accommodated with minor requests.

The facility is very old and outdated. The rooms have an old mildew oder. The elevators seemed to be on their last leg. My room had a dirty sock made up in the bed. The floor had not been vacuumed and the bathtub and toilet had dirt rings in them. I asked to have the room cleaned when I came back I had new towels bed made and the dirty sock on the floor not vacuumed and rings still there! I

Hotel needs updating and in general can not handle a large occupancy.

Booked the room through Expedia. Expedia web page stipulated check in was 18 and when my son arrived the hotel manager said it was 21 . If you decide to work with a 3rd party you should verify the information they provide and when a problem arises you should find a solution. Expedia never reimbursed the price of the non refundable room

Took great grandson to swim. But the pool was over crowded with kids. Kids were rude to my 6 years grandson so he chose not to swim (which was why we took him in the first place). I know it’s not the hotels fault. Except for that our stay was great as always

We reserved a room for a family of 7, one with a port-a-crib.. The hotel had no extra pillows for the pull out couch. We asked for some & the front desk said it wasn't possible. They had no extra pillows - ouch! Luckily the king-sized bed came with 4, so we put 3 on the couch bed for our 4 children. My wife used 1, and I used a rolled up blanket as my pillow. It took until 9:30p for the extra sheets to be delivered, by the same staff who checked us in! This place is obviously under-staffed. They need to train some of the breakfast staff to do housekeeping - there were people standing around all during breakfast.
Second strike: the room was dirty. There were long, thick black hairs all over the bathroom floor. None of us have that kind of hair. I don't want to know what was on the floor where we couldn't see. We had three towels in the bathroom, and when we asked for more, yet again there were none available. The rest of our trip. Thank God it was only one night!
Third strike: the pool was nasty. (No towels, of course, but you knew that from above.) There were huge chunks of hair floating all over and on the ground. Older kids playing WAY too roughly for our small kids to feel safe around. (They are good swimmers, but I wouldn't let them near that mess.) Lastly, people were smoking pot, drinking booze, and listening to loud music in the pool area! I can't make this stuff up.
We've been here 4 separate times now, but no more. Stay far away from this hotel!

My room was never clean 402, blood stains on the skirt, comforter had makeup on and bugs in the bathroom. I spoked with manager and housekeeping. I was giving linen one and was told to I had to change the bed myself. This was so sad I was very disappointed

First check in is at 3pm. We didn't get our 2nd room until 2 hours later. Also we had to go down stairs to check on the room because we were told they were to busy to call us. Tired to call them but no one answers the phone thats why we had to go downstairs to check. Mattresses on the beds are awful, you can feel the springs and the sofa bed was so much worse. You also have to go downstairs to request bedding and pillows for sofa bed. Blankets, sheets, pillows and carpets had nasty stains on them. We took the stairs most of the time because you might wait 30 minutes for an elevator. So loud with kids screaming and running around all hours. Kids running into you almost knocking you down and also playing with the elevators. Of course thats mostly the parents not looking after them. I will never go back. For the money we paid for 2 rooms for 2 nights one would think it would be nice then it was

We always stay at Embassy Suites and were very disappointed with this property. There was only 1 staff member available at the desk . The staff member was usually overwhelmed with too many duties for one person to accomplish. We felt bad for them trying to talk to guests, answer the phone, etc. Next worse thing was asking for extra towels, coffee etc was never acknowledged but understanding staff was too limited. Happy hour has always been a huge draw for a lot of guests… however bags of snacks were totally a joke. We have always had veggies, hummus, ranch , chips, salsa, pizza etc but when I asked was told well it is the end of the month and the budget is slim. Totally not acceptable, when paying good money for rooms. At breakfast waited for the omelette maker which showed up over 30 minutes late. Another huge draw for guests.
We will be visiting often over the next 4 years as our daughter is attending LSU for the next 4 years ! We are very hesitant on returning to this property for our many visits. So sad , it just wasn’t our normal stay at Embassy Suites.

The hotel itself was nice, clean, and comfortable. The area around it wasn’t too bad, not great but we had no issues at all. Overall worth the stay.

Pros: the lobby is nice and they serve breakfast. Oh, and the housekeeping lady was nice.
Cons: the rooms are OLD... like paint peeling and hard water stains old. The mattress on the pullout bed still had the plastic on it and it was so thin, we ended up taking it off the frame and putting it on the floor. One of the wash cloths had a hole in it and the other was so threadbare, I could see through it. Pillows were a weird square shape which makes sleeping on them really difficult because you fall off when you roll over.
At breakfast, there was mold on the English Muffins and the people making the custom orders ignored my two teens who were trying to order until they finally gave up and went to find something else. The bathrooms in the lobby didn't flush properly and there was no toilet paper.
Oh, and they charge $7.70 per night for parking. Maybe I missed it in the listing, but I thought parking was free.
We will definitely NEVER return, and it's likely we'll never stay at an Embassy Suites again. Definitely NOT recommended.

Arrived@4om. Rooms were not ready. Suite dis not have additional bedding for pull out. AC was not working properly. Many guests were sitting in lobby at 12AM due to hot rooms. Bathrooms are tiny, zero ventilation in room, one side of suite was uncomfortable n warm in June in Baton Rouge. I will not return or recommend to others. Friendly staff.

The hotel amenities are always the main attractions, free breakfast and free happy hour.

There was a stain on the carpet in the front area by the fridge, the door to the bathroom was damaged around the knob (looked like a door you would find at a junk), there was rust on both hinges. I couldn’t find my glasses and looked under the sofa and there was candy and other things (like the carpet does not get vacuumed or a thorough clean) and on the ceiling there was dust hanging off of the popcorn ceiling at the air vent.

Stains on carpet, towels, and bathroom was very small to get in and out.

The staff was amazing! Everyone was very attentive and friendly.
I will say, it’s time for some updating in the rooms.
The staff was doing all that they could to keep things clean and fresh, but the hotel and furnishings are starting to show some wear.
It’s a busy hotel, and worthy to be moved up the list for renovations.

I checked in on Friday and had to check out early due to a family emergency. I told the front desk agent at the time that I had to check out early and she wrote down my room number 425. I’ve never received any folio from the hotel after checking out on Saturday 06/22/2024

I appreciate the curious front desk both days we stayed here passing through on the way to Alabama and back home again. I also appreciate the front desk with helping with linens needed and things of that nature.
However, our room (which was the same room both separate nights on the way to and on the way home), was not very clean. There were only 2 wash clothes both times for a room that they knew had 6 guest. Both nights we had to ask for linens to the pull out couch after discovering there wasn’t any in the room. The floor felt so gross. I think the carpet may need a good shampooing. It was the only place my daughter walked barefoot and her feet were filthy. There was only one bar of hand soap. The ac ran pretty warm to both rooms even set on 67.

There are several run down elements to the property- it's dirty & stuffy. The pillows are lumpy, old & mishappen. The bed is lopsided. There is no shampoo & conditioner in the bathroom. The bath/shower is dingy. Stains, dust & dirt all over. Overall it feels like a cheap motel but isnt priced that way. Disappointing.
