‘Blencathra' has ample parking, full double glazing and gas central heating. All radiators can be individually thermostatically controlled. The bungalow is situated at the top of a small, quiet cul-de-sac. At the rear of the property there is a spacious garden providing a peaceful, leafy green area in which to relax and enjoy views of Skiddaw and Latrigg. Red squirrels are charming, frequent visitors. Patio furniture is provided for the summer months so guests can make the most of the tranquillity.
To the left of the front door is the comfortable lounge with outstanding westerly views. Furnished with a quality leather suite, television, DVD and living flame gas fire it is warm and cosy at any time of the year.
The superb double glazed conservatory at the rear of the bungalow provides a quiet and peaceful additional space in which to relax.

Blencathra is a nice bungalow situated on a quiet estate to the north east edge of Keswick. Close enough to venture into town and with good views out of the back and front of the many surrounding hills. Only gripe was that there was nowhere to hang your coat after coming in from a damp walk, we ended up using the back of the kitchen chairs. Other than that an excellent and comfortable property.

A very nice bungalow located to the rear of Fitz Park. Very peaceful, other than the ‘magpies’. Clean and comfortable and well maintained. Really loved the conservatory, in fact we only in the lounge on one evening. Had all of the facilities that we needed. Lovely peaceful lawn at the rear, plenty of rabbits to watch and even a tawny owl on the chimney next door. We’d return but bring our own pillows, as they weren’t very comfortable. Thank you to the owners for a well maintained property.

Clean, well equipped bungalow in good location for Keswick town centre and with great walks from the door. Conservatory and private garden a bonus to relax in and enjoy views of Skiddaw.

We loved our stay here, yhe property was very comfortable, the garden was stunning and lovely garden furniture to sit out in the sun. Wild rabbits regularly came into the garden along with a woodpecker. If we come back to Keswick we would definitely stay back here. The cul de sac was really quiet and only a 10 min walk into town.

Wonderful as ever….. with good weather and still entertaining rabbits in the garden !! Central enough for town but such a quiet cul de sac.

Spotless, comfortable, really well maintained bungalow, in a quiet location. With parking as a bonus & the garden is as well maintained the inside.

Blencathra is in the perfect location. Within easy walking distance from Keswick yet very quiet and with great views of the mountains.
The bungalow was very clean, warm and comfortable with excellent facilities. The conservatory is a real bonus even in Winter.
The only slight criticism I would have is that one or two hooks would have been useful and better labelling of the keys, but that’s very minor and would definitely not prevent us from booking again.

A clean and welcoming house in a quiet cul-de-sac. It has a particularly nice conservatory with fell-top views, and a decent sized garden, but as we stayed here in the winter we (sadly) weren't able to make use of this. It's slightly further out from the town centre than properties we've stayed at before (about a 7-10 minute walk), but this has some advantages, too. We'll definitely look to book this property again the next time we stay in Keswick.

This is our second stay here and we’re again very happy. Only issue was when the kettle broke but it was replaced within an hour of reporting it. Definitely using Keswick Cottages again. (Less rain next time please)

Another great stay in this lovely bungalow in a great location. We've already booked for next summer!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Blencartha. Would say that for 2 adults it was fine but 4 adults might find it a bit of a squeeze especially eating in the kitchen. The location was very good with The Pheasant Pub within easy walking distance and the food served was good with large portions. The conservatory was a big plus. Yes, we would stay again.

Blencathra is a home from home. Everything is provided, even when it rains most of the week! Superb location. Close to fells and town with main roads not too far off.
Comfortable beds, which is essential after a day on the fells.
We haven't found anywhere better.

Blencathra is a lovely, comfortable,well-equipped base for a break in beautiful Keswick. There are almost 360 degree views of the surrounding fells, with several good walks on the doorstep (Latrigg, Keswick to Threlkeld trail to name but two).
The bungalow is spotlessly clean and is equipped to a high standard with everything you need to make it a home from home. The brand new bathroom is excellent. Having never really stayed at Blencathra in the warmer months we haven’t had as much use of the lovely conservatory as we would like, but it is a very pleasant and welcome addition. Marion, the owner, is a lovely lady who is keen to make sure her guests are comfortable.
The gardens are very large and well kept, look out for the wildlife - several species of birds including pheasants, woodpeckers and siskins, lots of rabbits, and once we even saw a red squirrel!
Keswick Cottages are a fantastic local business who really know how to look after their customers. We would not hesitate to recommend them - nothing is too much trouble, and they are very helpful and extremely friendly! We have stayed in several Keswick Cottages properties, every one of them excellent but Blencathra is definitely our favourite and we hope to return as soon as we can.

A nicely presented property with great views (although almost anywhere in Keswick has great views). Well fitted out with everything we needed. Would have been ‘cosy’ if our two adult children had visited but fine for a family with school age children. We’ll be back to Keswick next year.

Excellent accommodation surrounded by scenic walks form the doorstep. A quiet residential area leading to countryside walks, parkland or just sit in the garden and relax.

This was our second stay at Blencathra. The property is small but very comfortable and well-equipped. Perfectly situated for a walk up Latrigg and an easy 10 minute stroll into Keswick town centre. It's situated in a quiet cul-de-sac with friendly neighbours. There are also numerous rabbits! We would definitely recommend and hope to book again in the future.

The cottage is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location in the town is very peaceful and convenient, being just a short walk or drive into the centre of Keswick. The cottage made an excellent base for a relaxing holiday in the Lake District, which is just what we were looking for.

IT WAS GOOD TO BE BACK
Our annual holiday in Blencathra.
There have been some great upgrades in a Smart TV, Mattress topper in bedroom and wonderful new outside furniture.
So peaceful, yet handy for the fells, lake and town.

Blencathra , Keswick
Blencathra is a lovely property , ideal for exploring the Lakes . Hence this was the second time we have stayed there and hopefully we will be back again .
Blencathra was very clean and tidy and well equipped. It has the addition of a really nice conservatory leading onto the well maintained garden with lovely views of the hills beyond
There are two easy walks into Keswick so it is very close to the centre but in a quiet location .
Thoroughly recommended
