Booked as a last minute getaway, and the property exceeded our expectations. Anna at the front desk was a superstar. The Starbucks and bell crew were an absolute pleasure to chat with. We loved the convenience of the beach chair rentals. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Not great. The hotel is very clearly older with various sign of aging throughout (e.g carpet, wall stains, door does not close without effort, old furniture). They did not provide soap for the shower and when we asked we were told it would be provided but it never arrived. The shower was also covered in beach sand and various types of hair when we arrived. Throughout the night our toilet would flush on its own when guests from higher floors would flush as the pipes are connected. We asked for a room swap the morning of our second day. They declined and instead offered us a $100 credit for the restaurant which did not help with our room concerns. We ended up leaving very early on our checkout day so we can shower at home. About $1K for a 2 night stay was an egregious amount to spend on conditions like this.

Property needs upgrade. Housekeeping didn’t rellenish bath supplies. Only one small bat of soap even when asked. Also for some reason it was hard to get the room freshened up.

Very outdated desperate need to f a remodel …pool ok , best park was the location of the hotel.

The location is great and the property is very nice. My only complaint is that every time I use Expedia the room I get is usually the room for disabilities. My last day we specifically booked a room that was not an ended up with the same old, same old. I wish somehow this trend could be eliminated. It really isn’t fair that when you book a non-ADA room I always get that very wrong.

I showed up and there was no room reserved . This is orbits fault .

Terrible services at the front desk- very slow and understaffed

The location is perfect and our room was nice. However we found sand in the pull couch bed when trying to put my kids to sleep. It was late and they were tired so we had to wait to get clean sheets and bedding. Also the restaurant is in a nice spot. But the waiter was terrible, very rude, and didn’t come back to check on us often. We always have bad service this restaurant. There was also no food left over. I mean how can a restaurant run out of chicken nuggets for kids. It was a terrible Saturday night after driving so far and to not enjoy a nice dinner. Make sure to pick nice waiters who want to be there because we spent $200 on drinks and will tip very generously if deserved.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The resort was busy but didn’t feel crowded or that we had to wait for anything

High price for what you get and a parking fee on top of it... not good

Staff TYE was a horrible experience very unprofessional ungrateful rude and didn’t want to listen to the issues that had arises during our stay

Historically interesting architecture and general plan of the buildings.
However, the lack of modern technologies in the rooms as well as in the public areas makes staying at the hotel a disappointment (no air conditioning, no sensor dispensers or hand dryers in restrooms, or sensor opening doors)
The lack of complimentary services such as coffee/ water with lemon/ or seasonal fruits available 24h in the lobby creates a very cheap feeling of the hotel.

Excellent hotel. Very nice

First impression was horrible. The lobby area and furniture are old (can I say 80's vibe) and worn. The people at the check in were in wrinkled and tattered clothing and not friendly at all. Our room was not ready by check in time so had to wait. The valet was very nice and helpful. Our room was fine with a great view of the ocean but we paid for it. It was clean but definitely could use some paint. The pool area and grounds need refurbishing. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. A lot of money for the lack of luxury.

Property is in a good beachfront location across from the road. However it an old property that needs updating. Rooms are big but outdated, hallway smelly, carpet worn out. Definitely would not recommend if you are expecting a plush high end stay

Great hotel location. Rooms are outdated and dusty.
4.0 / 10.0
The rooms were very much like a motel and the shower didn't work, water leaked from all the faucets, everything felt like a motel 6 definitely not like a Hilton. Moreover the check-in took 30 minutes and the rooms were very far from the main lobby. They charge for basic amenities like internet. It was just very much like a one star hotel

Check in needs to be seriously addressed

The location of the property is great as it is across the beach. The pool was also good and we liked that music was playing. Our only critique was that we ate at the hotel restaurant the first night for dinner and the food was terrible. The fish was rubbery, the burgers had no flavor and the drinks were watered down. We would not stay there again but I am glad we tried it.

Property well kept

Food service was extremely slow. Very long lines to get seated for breakfast. Staff took a long time to place orders.
Check in process took a very long time. There was always a long line at the front desk, even when we needed help with other things.
Tried to call for room service and no one answered.

Nice property, location. Very expensive parking and tax. Two nights and was charged $500 USD extra for parking, taxes and 3 meals. Ridiculous.

Overpriced, unimpressed. Dirty pool, not enough ev chargers, other than Tesla. Huge resort fee, parking fee. Dowdy, broken slider. Horrendous, uncomfortable mattress. No blanket. Room was loud from the pool and could hear tvs through the wall. Not worth the money. Huge pet fee. Dowdy, dowdy lobby. Extremely unhappy 😞

Hotel needs a refresh; seems a bit tired for the daily room rate. Restaurant on site; the Set needs a more diverse menu. Air conditioning vent in bathroom leaked from condensation I would imagine. Service from staff was good, however.

Nice property
2.0 / 10.0
For the price this place is not even close to what you would expect. The rooms are very old. The air conditioner did not work correctly. The parking was $40 a night which is absolutely insane. You’re not even in Los Angeles and even in Los Angeles. it’s not $40 a night. And then there’s some kind of $40 resort fee they tax on that you don’t know about or they don’t tell you about until you get to the hotel.

Area and location are unique.

Every staff member we encountered on the property were great. However, the hotel itself was not updated, there were dishes all over the hotel that would not be picked up for our entire stay.

room smaller than pictured on website

LOCATION IS GREAT, BUT THE HOTEL IS UNDERSTAFFED.
2.0 / 10.0
Musty, smelly rooms. AC is not working well. Staff ignores calls and when you text them like the automated call tells you to you still don't get responses. It's been two days here and I'm still waiting for responses to questions I had texted them. Very underwhelming for being a Hilton. I've stayed in other hotels that are close by for half the price that are much cleaner, nicer and friendlier.
10.0 / 10.0
All was great except the check-in. Only one staff person working with a line out the door. Was quite lengthy, and not an abnormality. This was the case every day during our stay.
