It wasn’t a bad day. It was just OK. I’ve always stayed here over the years since my son started going to college out there. That used to be great excellent service cleanliness and atmosphere. It’s now just OK. I can tell that it has changed management the carpets really need to be cleaned in every room.

Check , check was good. Staff were helpful and welcoming.

There were two men working when I arrived. The dark-hired man behind the counter was efficient, but had no personality. He made no attempt to be friendly. The other man was light-haired, and was terrific. He helped me in many ways, was very friendly and polite.

Very unsafe area. Surrounding buildings are weekly rental hotels with a lot of suspicious people hanging around. They allow pets but there is nowhere for your pets to potty.
Beds were inconsistent, one was ok the other was uncomfortable. TV is tiny. Had people hanging out partying outside of our first floor window all night.

Our room was quiet and clean, mattresses both a bit sagging. Outside our room was an odor in the entire place which we appreciated that it didn't penetrate into the room. There was smoke odor while checking in. My 95 year old mother and I were staying there to be close to medical appointments in Sioux Falls. The breakfast selection was nice and the idea to put a Sioux Falls magazine on each table.

It was very nice the breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed ourselves.

The ac drain pan was not draining properly resulting in the room smelling like mold and mildew. We had to turn the unit off.

The hotel was okay. It is centrally located with lots of shopping around. Yes, the hotel is dated and in need of a renovation, but it was comfortable. Note that there is a sign at the front desk that clearly states they take a security deposit equal to a night's stay. I do not agree with this and probably would have gone elsewhere had I known in advance, but it is their policy. Breakfast was okay - a little less than expected from a Best Western.

We booked at the Empire Towers mainly cause we had stayed there before. The beds were horrible, they were like "curch pew hard." We were looking forward to spending time in the pool. We walked in and it smelled so bad, it was a damp moldy smell, so that was a huge disappointment.

The property does not look like the pictures. It is old and in need of updates. It was a fine 2-star property, just old.

We just did an overnight stay passing through the area on our way back home. This was a great place to stay. Our room was super clean and the staff were friendly. Would definitely chose this place to stay again.

Abhi at the front desk was excellent. There was a small issue with our room at check in and he graciously moved us to a new room all while also juggling other customers at the front desk. He was very professional and accommodating. Only stayed one night and it was just what we needed for the price.

Where to start. First we booked our King room 4 months ago. When we arrive to check in (at 2:50pm) they told us that they overbooked and they were going to "upgrade" us to a room with 2 queen beds. My husband asked if there was a price difference (which we all know that the King is more expensive) and the guy at the desk said "yes there is but the difference is on us". The guy then told my husband that he could "see that we were already paid in full but he needed a credit card for incidentals". Of course this is a standard practice & we had no issues with that. We go to our room and the room was VERY moist. Air wasn't on and smelled gross. We decided that we are only staying 2 nights and we had already paid in advance so we would just go ahead and stay. I will say that we looked and the sheets and towels all looked clean. The next day we were out with friends (the reason we were there to visit) and my husband checked his credit card. The hotel charged (put a hold) our card for incidentals BUT also charged us an additional stay same as the cost for a queen room. We already paid for the King room 4 months ago. We gave up time on vacation to come back and talk to the manager who said that they could see that we paid but they hadn't received their money from Expedia so they had to charge us. They ran our card knowing that we already paid. We did receive the lesser charge (for the actual room we got) back. Will NEVER go back & our local friends will spread the word as well.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean but small and the bathroom was barely big enough to turn around in. Beds were comfortable. Food was just ok. It was an ok stay for one night for 2 people.

First of all, Pet Friendly.. Should read Pet Friendly for a price, 20 bucks per dog (children are harder on rooms than my dogs), plus I am guessing that the extra money does not go to the housekeeper. The good, rooms were clean, we were allowed to checking a little early (planned stop earlier did not pan out), water pressure and plenty of hot water..perfect, breakfast was good. The bad, the first room we were placed in smelled of cigarette smoke (not just a little), the desk agent informed me that all of the rooms were non-smoking, twice. He did relent and give us another room. the hotels is in the Mall district? towards evening a few homeless guy showed up and were hanging around. There are some sketchy apartments adjacent to the parking lot (these things could make some uneasy). The driveway in to the hotel needs some work. Overall, a good place to stay. I felt safe, and I was not worried about my vehicle.

We didn't get to stay because of flash flooding. Our family tried to get into town until 2am and we quit because every road was closed. We called the hotel to ask for a refund and never received a call back. Hotels.com tried and they didn't get approval for a refund either. We wont go to this hotel in the future. At minimum, we could of got a call back telling us no.

Hair dryer was broken and sucked up my hair. Property could use a refresh, a little run down for the price.

Hotel was convenient and in good condition. Bed was comfortable. They made traveling with pets easy, and there was green space nearby to take my dog.

The room and hotel were clean. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. Decent but not amazing. We liked the water pressure in the shower. Many hotels you get a trickle of water, this had a nice powerful showerhead. Only negative was the tiny pillows on the bed. I prefer regular sized pillows.
