Rooms are great, comfortable bed, shower and bath separate, lots of very nice toiletries, great size with a desk for comfortable working. There is a kettle in the room with coffee, teas, and a mini fridge which is very handy for food and cold drinks. The hotel is very well located with lots of restaurants, convenient stores and the running piste around the Imperial Gardens for those who like exercising. As Shimbashi station is a few min away, it is very easy to get anywhere by metro, including only 30 min to Haneda airport. I would not recommend breakfast at the French restaurant in the hotel, it is poor quality and overpriced.

Amazing location, but the hotel conditions are old. Has to pay extra for gym and swimming pool.

Great location next to the Shimbashi subway station in central Tokyo. Beautiful large French style room with lots of amenities. Excellent service.

it’s not brand new but very well maintained. one of the my hotels in Tokyo.

Always a fantastic experience! Location, staff, amenities, are all exceptional.

Very professional staf and always smiling. Very nice hotel, the room was cleaned perfectly everyday. The location is perfect near the Shimbashi station. Definitely coming back at this hotel next time I plan the visit Tokyo again
2.5
Excellent hotel in a superb location, with lots of convenience & drug stores around, very helpful to have when traveling with small kids. Metro access inside the hotel was super handy and easy to get to wherever in Tokyo. We were staying on the premiere floor which gave us acess to lots of free amenties such as the lounge, free mini bar & all the top ups, free breakfast across different restaurants in hotel & free room service breakfast was handy when we were extra tired. The extra pennies to stay on premiere floor are worth it especially if you're travelling with family (all the free food and snacks made it easier for my 1 year old son). Very caring staff and beautiful hotel!
2.5
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location close to shops and restaurants.

We were a group of six spending a few days in Tokyo. We enjoyed our stay at the Daiichi but felt there were areas where it could improve.
The breakfast offerings felt more 3 star than five star and the quality was more canteen than restaurant: In the buffet restaurant, items often ran out and were slow to be replaced. In the continental, the service felt very rushed. This along with a lack of flexibility in the service reduced its star level feeling. For example, the hotel was unable to provide a packed breakfast for an early next day start. This shouldn’t have been a difficult ask for a small group and is something I have known hotels with lower star ratings to manage very successfully. So the general impression was one of style over substance.

classic deco and great room size in central Tokyo with a reasonable price.

The hotel has excellent service. The personnel is friendly and extremely well trained. The hotel is very well located. The entire hotel, however, is a little tired and deserves a spruce up. For instance, the wallpaper in our bedroom was peeling off the walls. The mattress could be more comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is in good, easy to access area. Close to train station, lots of options around for food including Family Mart and 7 Eleven and not too far to walk to Shimbashi and Ginza areas.
Room was ok, not very big as expected for this high end hotel but still good considering is in middle of Tokyo. The carpet in the room could be replaced to be in line with the rest of the hotel which was very clean and nice. The bathroom was very clean and had everything you need. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options.

Good hotel but sligthly outdated. If you are into older hotels then there is nothong to complain about. Cleanliness could be improved, fllriendly staff.

A bit dated but service definitely is there and convenience is a plus. Near transit.

Value for money, the Daii Ichi is a great hotel. The facilities are very comfortable and functional, and the staff is extremely well trained and helpful. Shimbashi is centrally located in Tokyo, with train and subway connections aplenty.

the conceirge ms ishii was excellent in helping me recover a bag that i left in the train..and reception was patient in allowing us to change rooms 2x cause of the train noise that bothered our sleep

Great hotel for a long stay when visiting Tokyo. My partner and I started our honeymoon in Tokyo and couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. Room and bathroom were super spacious, clean and well equipped. We felt like at home for the week we were there. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Location was also ideal - so close to Ginza for shopping, great restaurants and convenience stores around, and many public transport lines connecting to anywhere you need to go in the city. I’d definitely stay when I visit Tokyo again.

8 night stay in tokyo. Great location, hotel is directly linked to Shinbashi station with underground tunnels, which is one stop from Tokyo station. Within 5 minutes walk to 24 hours udon (seto udon nishi) and dumplings restaurants. Took JR and local trains from Shinbashi station. Within 5 minutes walk to Ginza fir shopping. Hotel has gym next door with heated indoor pool. Will definitely stay there again.

Very good service, great room, very helpful staff. Excellent location as well. Definitely recommend

This is my fifth stay here. I love this hotel. It has a unique charm. A lovely calm vibe. It's like an oasis in the middle of the city. I even love watching the trains from the window of my room. really nice staff. Will be back again for sure.

5th time visiting Japan.
Best hotel in my experience.
Including customer service and room service, etc.
5.0
Great location near to JR station, very attentive staff, very comfortable room and beds. The Premier Lounge was well run with sufficient drink options (waiter service) but limited food selections. Free mini bar in room was very well stocked daily. Although there were 3 breakfast options, the western food in the buffet was limited. All up I would definitely stay here again.
2.5
Older classy style, well kept, staff very helpful and as always in Japan very polite.
Central and eazy to travel around Tokyo from.

So far everything is good, but you will hear the train at the night time.

Good sized room. Clean. Comfortable, and very convenient with station a two minute walk away. Fast and excellent service. Happy to return when next in Tokyo.

I think the hotel is great. We had a very spacious room for the whole family (2 adults plus 1 teenager). It was very clean, quiet and it is very well-located.
I don't give it 5 because the Expedia page for this hotel is highly misleading. It is mentioned that there is a pool and a gym but these are not part of the hotel. It's in another building and you need to pay! Please get this corrected.

extremely comfortable and full of pleasant luxuries. truly convenient in shimbashi area.

Excellent staff and very helpful and courteous all the time. Convenient to transit Shinbashi and great izakaya choices thruout the day and walkable to Ginza shopping. Good choice for business or family trips.

The nice and bigger room I ever found for 4 beds in Tokyo👍❤️
4.0
The hotel was in a great location, close to stores, restaurants and train station. It was very clean with very friendly and helpful staff. The only problem I had was that it was a classic, old hotel. I like the more modern look and feel. There was carpeting in the hallways and rooms. The ac was not very cold and we could hear the train from the 15th floor. The breakfast buffet was ok.

A beautiful hitel with great service and extremely clean. Great lication
