The first room was not cleaned so moved to next room that had roaches
0.5 / 5.0
When I got into my room the toilet was running and the handle on the toilet did not work, i notied the handle was broke. I advised the front desk and i was moved into another room. When i started to hook up my portable monitor, I saw maybe 7 roaches scatter, I advised front desk and now moved me to my third room. The sheets has stains but appears to be clean. The water in the shower did not drain properly, while showering the water stays at almost ankle level while draining extremly slow. This room also had roaches. At this point i was too tired to move into another room. Breakfast was ok, they had jimmy dean sausage egg and cheese biscuits you can warm up in the microwave because they are frozen. On this website it says they have a buffet breakfast but it seems more continential. Waffales were great!. I checked out in the morning and advised the older lady at the front desk of the problems i had during my stay and the lady just stared at me and did not say anything. This hotel experience was not so great. Oh and the windows in each room i was in were extremly dirty. The rooms had an old moldy smell in each room. Im not sure if its only the third floor with this problem or not. I would never stay at this hotel again or recommend it.

It started when we pulled up to the front door. All smokers was right at the front door to smoke outside. You just walk thru a smoke film. 2nd we tried to call the front desk, the phone wouldn't work. Then went down for TV guide, she said we don't have any, you just have to go thru the channels to watch. 3rd we tried to put water in the fridge, not working. Tried phone again, phone line was broken & got it to work put no one answer. . Went back down to let clerk know fridge is not working & the phone not either. The clerk told me that we have a lot of things not working like the phone in a lot of rooms and I can't fix it or change it out the Owner doesn't want to spend any money on fixing things. I stay there many times but now things are felling apart. Avoid this Hotel!!

Property is in terrible condition. Mold, mildew and wetness throughout. We had an issue with the air conditioner upstairs leaking into our room at we tried to cancel/terminate our reservation but were unable to obtain a refund. Food with mold under the bed. Coffee spilled on light fixtures. Visible mildew stains on wallpaper and ceiling. Wetness all along the carpet by the air unit. Big security concern with children - second floor room and the window lacked locks or security features to prevent children from opening window.

The property definitely needs some updates. The shower curtains needs to be replaced(mold or mildew on them) toilet kept running until you took the lid off to get it unstuck. Breakfast options could have been better

Easy access to 45...Was being remodeled and plumbing didn't work very well

Stale smell in the elevator and hallways. Wallpaper peeling in hallways. Poorly patched sheet work on walls.
The room was decent, yet severely basic; small.
The woman working the front desk and setting up for the continental breakfast was short with guests waiting in the lobby to check out.
She was short tempered with me as I asked for a receipt, or at least some proof of check out process being completed. We checked out one day early due to personal choice, yet it was worth the loss of having paid for the third night to not have stayed there any longer.

Don’t walk - RUN from this hotel! It’s in really poor condition with water leaks in the ceiling, mold/mildew smell and wallpaper coming off the walls. No towels at all - but didn’t want to shower in the filthy tub anyway. Several “working women” hanging around the hallways. This hotel should be closed down- seriously.

Room was fine, clean, spacious. TV remote did not work, no WiFi info. Choice was good for what I needed in this trip.

Decent price for a short stay. Older hotel with fresh paint. Very noisy at night and Smokey. Remodeled lobby gives a false representation of the rest of the building

We came to this hotel to stay on our way to a cruise out of Galveston the next morning. The lobby was good, but when we started to head to our room it was in bad disrepair and heavy water damage, heavy mildew smells, lots of visible mildew, hazy windows in hallways and in our room and the wallpaper on the walls in the hallway were peeling away. The hotel seemed like it had taken some storm damage or something? But, at no point in the process of outstay was it ever mentioned or acknowledged by staff? I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone until it is cleaned and repaired?

Room 127 had a leak in ceiling which dripped through the night. Unfortunately didn’t notice until around 12:30am when trying to sleep and heard this constant sound. Thought it was the air condition condensing, but no,on the ceiling what we didn’t notice because we were so tired when we got in the was a huge drip coming from the ceiling and it was dripping and got on my clothes. No other rooms were available for us to leave the room. The person on staff suggested a bucket, but we declined being that that would’ve been louder noise for us to hear and the price of the hotel was nothing discounted - so very very disappointing. And we had to leave at 3:30 in the morning because we were just there for a job that we had to be at in Galveston. so were so tired! So much for a good night sleep!

Needs microwave ovens in the rooms. Had a funny smell in the carpet. The building still needs work done on the outside and inside of it.

Yikes! We weren’t sure if we would end up with bed bugs or not, rooms were very dark, everything felt grimy and dirty, the hallways had water leaking stains as well as the carpets having major staining all over

The hotel was in pretty bad shape
It had some storm damage that was not disclosed prior to my arrival
We had to be move to a different room due to the smell of mildew and mold in the room. The pool was unavailable as well without my prior knowledge as well.

There was a lot of Mold in my room. I do have photos also, there was a smell of dog urine. As soon as you enter the hotel, the first morning, no hot waffles.
Second morning waffles, but the waffle mix was very running like water. Third morning, no milk. I expected breakfast every day was not true I did not Expect to stay in a Room with lots of mold Besides that it was quiet in a good area

This stop was part of a longer family trip for a cruise. I also want to start off by saying I am aware that a hurricane hit the Galveston/Texas City areas less than a week before we arrived. Check in was smooth. The room was clean and ready for us upon arrival. The biggest downfall was the pool; it was absolutely disgusting and unusable. It might have been put on the back burner as power and cleanup from the hurricane was more important; they could have put a sign on the door notifying us before we walked down ready to swim and had to try to calm two kids who were eager to swim after a long day of driving. The beds were super comfortable! The shower was nice. Breakfast was ok; they were out of a lot of stuff, but might have been due to hurricane issues.

Hotel has mold and was very old. Our sheets were dirty and were told to bring them to the front and get clean ones. The comforter had a giant mildew stain on it. The pillow was stained as well and smelled gross.

Our room had mold growing on the shower curtain, rust in the bathtub, and mold growing on the side table drawers and even under the phone cover. We woke up the second morning and everything was damp, I had a roll of paper towels in the room that felt like some one had dumped water on it. There was mold growing on various surfaces through the hotel. The pool was disgusting! Dirt all over the room, the water was slimy and dirty. I tried to talk to the manager and he didn’t care at all.

The lobby had a foul odor. The hallway on the 2nd floor was unsat, because of the heavily stained carpet, debris, and peeling ceiling. The pool was filthy and there was rust around the door facing. The refrigerator in my room didn't work. The toilet ran all of the time. No microwave oven in the room. The room wasn't cleaned completely prior to my check in time. This was my first and last time staying at that particular hotel. The juice and coffee machins were out of order during the three days that I was there.

Staff wasn't welcoming. The halls leading up to the rooms are very unpleasant due to carpet stains and smells, as well as the elevator. There was a leak above the toilet. Some unexpected roaches came by, but other than that, everything else was good.

The hotel room itself was large and had plenty of room. However, it was not the cleanest. One of our towels in the bathroom looked like it had been urinated on and the shower was not very clean.

Room had mildew smell, toilet broken and stains on the sheets we left immediately without staying the night

Overall a nice hotel. A little difficult to get to as you need to go through other parking lots, but not terrible. They are in the middle of remodeling, but it still looked nice. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well! My kids loved the pool! Would definitely stay here again (and will be in a couple weeks).

We arrived early and were accommodated without issue. The room smelled musty because the temp was set too high. The ice machine was broken and the pool was closed due to cleaning. The day we left we tried to get some coffee but there wasn’t any (only decaf) we do try to get some orange juice but that was gone too. It was a little after 7 am. We had to go out to get a cup of coffee. There was no tv channel guide so we had no idea what channel to set to. We had to keep changing the channel, wait till it came up the change it again to the next and son until we saw something we liked.

The hotel experience was extremely disappointing.
Mold was visible on the ceiling.
A large humid bubble was present in the bathroom.
The shower appeared unclean.
The room had a strong unpleasant odor, requiring us to purchase Febreze and Lysol.
The breakfast consisted of frozen food that guests had to heat up themselves.

Bed had mold on bed skirts, my wife is allergic to mold and still caughing hours later from it, hair dryer had toiler paper wrapped around the handle???? No idea why but we chose to leave it alone, fridge didnt work at all, holes in the ceiling coming from the supply room, breakfast was so limited we had to pass on it, room was so humid everything was wet even the bed. This place is so bad we almost slept in the parking lot but it was just to hot. Room #210. Your better off at a motel 6 and i swore id never stay at one of those again.
