It was relaxing and the room was very clean. My family and I stayed there for two days and I definitely recommend it. It also has the island vibe. The pool was nice and warm with a jacuzzi. My kids enjoyed it. Parking was also reasonable price.

Bed was comfy, pool was good, restaurant was good, great fish tacos. Front desk agent was amazing. Would book again.
4.0
Nice property and surrounding amenities. A persistent barking dog and loud conversations from other rooms was disturbing. Front desk personnel were superb. Friendly and very helpful.

It was a great place to stay on a budget. It was clean and pretty big. The view of mission bay was nice and the pool and juccuzi was also very nice. They have a restaurants all day long and the customer service is also great.

The resort is very nice. Rooms are comfortable but a little dated. Need more servers for the Firefly restaurant outdoor seating.

Love staying here. Great pools, views and service. This stay was especially nice with excellent service and recommendations from Aldo at the lounge.

Our room had cockroaches running in it.
Beyond horrible
They agreed to a full refund

Loved the property! The bay path, pools, restaurant, outdoor fire pits were all great! Wish we could have stayed longer

Carrying 200 lbs of luggage (4 suitcases) up a flight of stairs wasn’t fun for dad.

We had an issue with a party next to us until 4:30 am. Called the front desk for help 3 separate times and the person was rude and was no help. Had a cranky 7 year old up all night from the party next door. The check out at front desk did listen and apologize and give a discount which was appreciated but the time was already ruined. We almost packed up and left at 3 am it was so bad ….

Always a good stay here, only thing is I wish they wouldn’t charge for parking daily: it’s expensive daily charge and the rooms are already expensive.

Check in was great. Nick was so friendly and answered our questions with no problem. We loved that the hotel offered a shuttle to Sea World. Super convenient.

The mattress was not comfortable. We could hear the TV from next door and music from a wedding, but luckily both turned off about 11:30PM.
The room was very clean and location are great!

Great place to stay !! Everything is nice and clean and everyone was polite !!

Great location and various room options. Freeway/highway traffic a bit louud at night, despite staying a a Monday night.

Nice property. The rate was cut in half probably because I booked it on the night I was staying there. Otherwise, it was more than double if I booked before the night I stayed there. Its a big property, so you have a good chance of getting a same day room. Parking is $29, but you could park in the street. Next time, I will.

Beautiful setting right on the bay. Easy access to all freeways that will take to the sight seeing spots. Parking lot is big, uncovered, and you can park right in front of your room. Two pools, on site restaurant with a small happy hour menu. Coffee maker in room ( not the best coffee), comfy beds. Lots of USB ports to hook stuff up to or charge your devices.

Very nice place to stay. Enjoyed the stay!

We loved our room! Heated pool. Nice little restaurant and bar. Paddle boarding and more next to the hotel. Even yacht parking! We look forward to our next visit.

My husband and I really love The Dana. I wanted to give it the full 5 stars but a few things held me back. We have stayed there 5-6 over the last 10 years. The property is great. The location is beautiful and rooms are always clean. One downfall is the pricing. Yes, you’re paying for location, but rooms are in need of updates again. The bed was horrible. After the fourth night, I felt like I had been in a car accident. My whole body hurt from the bed. Even my husband, who could sleep on a rock, was suffering. I do not like how the AC unit is in the bathroom. It does not circulate the best throughout the room. Also, the door to the bathroom looked like it had been through a war. The entire door had been patched multiple times. It was very odd. The shower was starting to have signs of mold in the corners. It also would have been great to have a ceiling fan. These are just things when you spend over 300.00 per night, that start to bother you. Would we stay here again, possibly. Really hoping they get some new beds, ceiling fans and update the showers.

The Dana on Mission Bay is my favorite hotel in San Diego. It is so welcoming and let’s us bring our dogs, which is fantastic. We will definitely be back again soon.

I did not expect that the room would be on the second floor and I would have to carry the luggage. It is not as it looks in the picture and it is a shame that breakfast is not included

The location, room and grounds were were very nice. I think that the $29 @ night for Parking is a bit excessive, especially since it is self-parking. Staff was great.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a ton of times since 2007 when my daughter went to college at USD. Every single staff member I interacted with was kind and polite and friendly and went over and above what was necessary. The location is gorgeous and the restaurant is superb.

Nice property, rooms overlook the beautiful bay, not the parking lot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large pools.

I love this hotel. Great service and the view is amazing. Great place to getaway and recharge.

We chose a bay front room. Loved being on the water. Can be a little loud with the rowing crews out training early every morning. Very comfortable room and all generally well maintained. This is not a new resort if that is what you want. Easy to get most everywhere with a car.

The room was very quiet except for (occasional) footsteps passing by window. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is friendly & polite ; the water urn is infused w fresh fruit! In the morning grounds-keepers got right to work bzzzz, bzzzzz.

The room was not fully clean. Floors were dirty and the interior of the room was old looking

Amazing room with a great view. Spacious and clean. Smooth check in and check out. Parking was more expensive than advertised, and also was not covered. Not ideal since we were there during a heatwave, but overall stay was great. Friendly staff and great accommodations. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit San Diego.

The rooms are just a little better than motel 6.
The old in wall air conditioning had to be running all night and it was still hot in our room.
The hotel has a wedding venue directly across from my room so it was loud on Friday.
The property it’s was nice with a couple of pools and good views.
The parking is 30$ a night and California has a few fees they add onto the bill.
Definitely would not recommend for the price

I have stayed here 8+ times over the last several years. Very close to several beaches and lots of restaurants. Across the street from Sea World. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant food is very good.

Parking is expensive.
Only one restaurant in the hotel.
The quality of the food is medium.

Great location convenient for exploring local areas and a launch point for moments you experience. Wonderful staff professional and caring a essential for your vacation, get away, or just that moment you’ve been craving.

My toilet wouldn’t stop running we hardly slept. It would go all night like someone was flushing the toilet.
2.0
I didn’t like anything about this place. They charge you extra $30 a night for parking when you’re not even notified that this is what will happen until you check out the place smells like sewer and in some parts of the parking lot and a lot of areas are dirty.
