Hotel location and rooms were perfect. Check in was so slow, and arranging parking a pain. Took ages to get a receipt - not the best service form check in desk really. Otherwise, all ok.

Stay was generally great. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Facilities were good. One bad point was the fire alarm went off two or three times late at night and disturbed my sleep. There was no explanation given for this.

Had the best nights sleep - Very comforatable beds and pillows.
We were torn between the extensive bar menu and the restaurant both read so good! We decided on the restaurant and was not disappointed the décor was amazing let alone the food and service - very enjoyable.
1.5
Room was fine but window was very draughty and the high winds outside made for an awful sleep as the room was noisy and draughty.

Check was fine. Arrived in our room and no water which is a given in most hotels. Just a basic couple of tea bags and coffee sachets. They did send two cans of water when advised. Also disappointing to have to pay a further £10 each to use the pool facilities. Pretty poor when we had paid £170 for one night

Great rooms but we had booked for 3 adults in one room and the room was only prepared for 2, tried to call reception and the phone didn’t work! However once informed, the staff quickly sorted this out. There are some doors right at the end of the corridor by 3077 which banged all night, other than that, it was a great stay

was perfect for where we were staying.
room was very nicely decorated and larger than average.
wait time for check in was a lot longer than expected but that's because there was a big event going on within the hotel i think.
lots of services we didn't use but overall a good hotel stay.

Nice 2 night stay while I attended an event. Room was clean. Building was quiet. Staff, all but one were, polite and professional and attentive. Was out most of the day and was sick to death of sandwiches on offer. Wanted to get something from the restaurant my perogative, and carry to my room. The rude man behind the bar acted like he was in a busy fulll bar and customers all around. Was just little ole me apparently must not have looked like a tipper. Anway after his 4th act of blatant dismissive behaviour I went back to the kiosk and got a sandwich- at least that staff were polite and attentive. Would stay again but need to find somewhere to eat that isnt a sandwich and has customer service.

Great location and very convenient for the NEC. Bit expensive but hey ho!
2.0
Very comfortable and breakfast is good. Did get 3 different answers to a question about paying for parking but all good when we left.
1.5
Really disappointed that hotel guests have to pay extra to use the pool. We stayed as a family of four and it would have cost an additional £40 to use the pool! We weren’t made aware of this before booking and felt completely ripped off.
2.5
Really helpful staff. Early check in at no extra cost. I have stayed at most of the hotels at the NEC but I will definitely be using this one in the future. It’s reviews don’t do it justice.

Hotel is in a great location, rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The only issue we have with this hotel is the price of food and drinks - it is extortionate and just plain greedy for average food. Save your money and walk 10 mins to resort world. Plenty of options and better quality!

The hotel was amazing, expensive, food was out of this world.
However we had a problem with the room phone which cudnt be fixed. And nothing more was said about it.
And the fridge for the room, was tiny, not enough to fit anything in it, especially medication items.
However concierge and check in and all the staff were friendly. We was allowed to do early check in n late checkout.
We were given a pull out bed too.
Pool was beautiful, slightly cold.
Overall a good stay despite the circumstances.

Hotel needs a refit.
Stains all over the place.
Walls damaged.
Very tired looking establishment.
2.0
Very comfortable stay. Let down by the fact that had to wait over an hour for mask to be served in the restaurant and despite requesting an extra pillow, one never materialised.

We attended an event at this hotel which was lovely however bed sheets were dirty. the view as lovely as well as the amazing breakfast butt hey are overshadowed by the unclean sheets.

This is a huge property, but they really made it so welcoming with a special gift in the room for my daughter. The pool was fabulous.
1.5
Long queue to check in.
Car park is very potholed: watch your ankles!
Maintenance knocked on the door and came in twice whilst I was asleep - not sure why?
First time at this hotel for a few years. It really is rather tired now.
2.5
All good but rooms are very cold unless aircon heating on which makes it then very noisy. If turned off the wind howls through the aircon pipes and is still very noisy.

A bit of a disaster on arrival it took 2 members of staff to find my reservation.
I went to check in and it took over half an hour to find my reservation, to find my room I couldn’t stay in as the air con wasn’t working in that part of the hotel so they downgraded my room which included the executive lounge.
Luckily I challenged them and they put executive lounge access and breakfast along with free parking due to the long checking in time.

Great hotel

Disappointed that the heating didn’t work in the room. There was a heater provided but the sockets are half way up the wall so it felt as though it was stretched.

The Hilton is an average big hotel that thinks it’s something better. I’ve stayed there several times because it’s near the venue of our event. Small touches that are appreciated by travellers and I see at budget hotels let alone ones that charge £450 for one room for two nights excluding breakfast - no drinking water in the room. No biscuits with the (very basic) tea/coffee facilities. I asked for water and was told it ‘wasn’t their policy’ and I could drink from the bathroom tap! Someone did eventually came up with cans of still water. My room was an ‘executive’ room I think but no on mentioned the Exec Lounge with complimentary drinks & snacks to me so I didn’t use it. You have to pay extra to use the pool. The drinks at the bar are very expensive and some of the bar staff seemed untrained, having no idea of the wines or gins on offer.

10min queue at checkin. Very unusual room with open shower viewable from the door. Also no bedside table and you had to get out of bed to turn off the lights. Also noisy from corridor and outside. Over priced for what you get!

The Hotel itself is huge with 8000 rooms but also very old and tired looking. It doesn’t look like a Hilton on arrival. The room was good we had two double beds (small doubles) you could tell the carpet hadn’t been hoovered and the builders hadn’t removed the plastic off the bath panel, every else was just fine.
The hotel is noisy as it’s very close to the airport, if you enjoy listening to planes take off and land then you’re all good. Breakfast was brilliant! Lots of choice to eat, bar/coffee bar was nice. Vending machines were all empty! The pool was lovely, changing rooms only has 2 private cubicles, the floors were dirty full of hair and mucky footprints from outdoor shoes and the electronic lockers… everyone had problems with them, they are temperamental, they look aesthetically pleasing but not useable. We also paid an extra £20 to keep the room on till 3pm, but checked out early due to a cleaner stood outside the door saying she wants to clean the room and go home, then proceeded to knock every 15 mins even though I explained I had paid extra and there was a do not disturb sign on the handle outside. The hotel did refund us the extra £20 we paid. But still… have a word! Won’t be rushing back there anytime soon.

One night business stay. Very comfortable and clean room. No fault there. Hotel is vast so lots going on and as a consequence so wasn’t the best - that’s the only gripe. That being said once realised issues were dealt with positively and promptly.

Checked in here to go to the NEC. We stayed here before and it was very nice - not this time. The corridors were very tired, damaged peeling paint, generally very shabby overall. Our bathroom stank of stale urine so we asked to be moved. Housekeeping was sent to clean the bathroom but I still wanted to be moved as if it had been cleaned so badly initially what else was dirty? We were eventually moved to another room which had been sprayed so heavily with air freshener that it gave me a splitting headache and started to trigger an asthma attack in my husband. Rang again for another room and was told all rooms would smell like that, apparently not, the first one stank of old pee! The woman on the phone was less than helpful, I told her if the air freshener in every room was the case then we couldn’t stay there as their products were making us ill and I demanded a refund, which was agreed. We booked into the Crowne Plaza over the road and had a very pleasant stay.

A very comfortable, spacious room. An elegant interior with a fantastic swimming pool. The breakfast options were the best I've ever seen
2.5
We had a great stay, but the only downfall to me was the family room size which was very cramped with 2 beds in there. Could have done with a bit more room. The staff were helpful.
2.5
Good hotel great location, like most of the big chains, food and drinks and car parking expensive but overall a good experience

Breakfast was very poor

Worst Hilton Ever!! Parking is expensive.. even Premier in include FREE parking as your a paying guest. NOT Hilton….£29 extra on top of an already expensive room.
The room had paper this walls, was up all nite due to loud people from a conference. Not consideration for people sleeping at 2am!
This was by far the worst place at the NEC to stay. Would not recommend at all.
The only thing about the stay that was good was the breakfast. Everything else was a let down/rip off.
Will not stay here again and probably won’t consider any other Hilton.

There was no warmth to the hotel. The front of house staff just seemed very transactional. The room itself was fine but it could have done with a thorough clean. There was a dust web above our bed on the ceiling for the two nights we stayed showing that the cleanliness wasn’t really up to scratch. The pool was okay but the changing rooms were horrid. Would class it more as a 3 star.
1.5
Check-in very friendly and check out similar. The room was lovely and toiletries were a nice added touch. The pillows were not my favourite as I prefer foam pillows so a choice would have made the room perfect as everything else was great. The lounge bar was empty and a very disappointing area maybe because it was empty but the food whilst quick gave us both upset stomach’s sadly. The food was reasonably priced but the wine was not. We booked to be close to the NEC and we were which was great. We’d stay again but probably not eat there.

Had a great 3 day stay whilst working in Birmingham.
Pool and gym were great, lovely breakfast, nice big family room. Overall it was spot on.
