My husband and I enjoyed our oceanfront room with a kitchenette, we are not people that are hard to please, The front desk staff upon arrival was very welcoming ,
The room was actually really cute I wont lie the carpet needs to be removed expeditiously it felt damp and sticky, this is obviously a older property just needs a lil TLC and it can easily be one of the best in that area. We loved the clean sparkling pool and tiki bar, and had a ball playing the arcade games like kids. I will return, Lots of the bad reviews are from people with caviar taste but clam chowder money. Its a decent place to have a get away...Thank you Hawaiian inn.

While I was in Daytona recently for work, so was Milton. Hurricane Milton that is. Just about every hotel in a 30 mile radius was booked. It was either here or $800 a night at the Hilton. My work wasn't as excited about the Hilton idea as I was. So Hawaiian it was to ride out the "sprinkle" that was heading our way. The place in my opinion could be updated.
The when I walked into my room, my opinion quickly changed. The room was updated, very nice and clean. Not to mention the view, even during a hurricane was awesome. I wasn't sure if I was going to depart the next day or not so I only booked for 1 night. Because of Milton, I needed to stick around for 1 more day and everywhere else was sold out. Including the Hawaiian. When I was checking out, I was chatting with the staff present and I shared my problem. Right away the woman offered a room so I didn't have to sleep in my jeep. And instead of marking it up and taking advantage of the situation, she gave it to me for normal price. Staff is friendly, place is clean, plenty of things to do within walking distance. I would stay here again

Was a wonderful little low key and reasonably priced place to visit. Located on the beach. I would definitely recommend!
3.3
Chairs in room had stains, not clean furniture
3.3
No extra linens and towels readily available and could not get a dish towel for 2 days. Room floors were not very clean and no floor mats for inside the doors. No extra trash bags in the cans to change out the garbage.
3.3
Very out dated and rust in the rooms ceilings had patch holes falling apart elevators stink no daily housekeeping
3.3
I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN UNDERSTANDABLE ABOUT RENOVATIONS DUE TO HURRICANE ian 2 years ago

The people never came to clean the room the whole time we was there. The pool was dirty and never pool stuff in them. I got a rash from it.

I was disappointed with my 2-night stay in room 521. Initially, the separate bedroom, living, and kitchen spaces impressed me. However, the kitchen lacked basic amenities like dish soap and a dish rag, which I found surprising given the room's price.
Things took a turn when my daughter found a mysterious pill on the bathroom floor. Further investigation revealed hair, rust, and filth around the toilet and baseboards, indicating poor cleaning. The kitchen had roach motels next to the microwave, and the couch was uncomfortable.
Positives included the nice pillows, effective AC, and enjoyable pool area. However, the kiddie area's dirt and lack of amenities like mini golf were noticeable. The elevators were also concerning - one was broken, and the other felt unsteady with a poorly closing door.
Despite the beautiful view and convenient location, this hotel needs renovation. The pool was the highlight, but overall, we won't be returning.

View was great, we got there at 1pm, our room was ready, just missed towels. Needed an extra bed, they didn't have it. Needed extra blankets the lady at the lobby could not leave to bring us any blankets so we had to go get them ourselves. Never got towels even after 4pm. Never got them at all. They definitely need an upgrade. Went to get food from tiki bar but they had an hour wait. But great location. And we liked the pool

It was amazing, we will be going again.

Great location could use a renovation but overall happy with it

Very Dirty and outdated. Very!! Cabinet falling off. No extra blankets and pillows for pullout couch that would not open, no coffee, soap, shampoo, wash cloth, no dish clothes..no dish soap. To much money for what u get.Ice machines not working well. Posters with hand written rules in lobby is trashy also.Bad bloody Mary's. 3 luggage carts causing people to argue.I miss the old Hawaiian Inn.

Our air conditioner didn’t work fully whole time me and my children kept sweating soooo much in our room felt better in Lobby then our room

We stay here every year, and the only complaints we have are we notified the front desk our air conditioning did not work at all, and the neighbors were smoking pot in the room next door and it was blown into our room through the bathroom vent.

Got there was put in nice room but within an hour we had to go buy candles and air freshener , my husband talked to the girl ant the desk she said we would have to talk to gm, the carpet and couch where damp and smelled like wet dog, after put air fresheners and candles we slept alittle that night. Next day girl at front said I think I have you another room go look and see if ya like it.,it was perfect? Thank you then tried to dry clothes the dryer took my money twice asked housekeeping about it she said we ain’t got nothing to do with that, asked the hoa person about it he said I don’t know what to tell ya so I called the number on dryer there suppose to send my money back.this is def a 1and done. Would not recommend this place to no one. But the girl with the red hair with blonde bangs was awesome. We didnt find out til we where leaving from another family they didn’t have house keeping we had to buy toilet paper even. The pool was nice tho!

The only activities this “resort” has is a pool and 5-7 arcade machines. Everything they advertise like mini golf, spa, and shuffleboard isn’t there at all. The hotel is falling apart the doors to the room you have to slam them shut otherwise they pop open. Room 321 had a thermostat for the ac was from 1980 (not joking). The ac vent in the ceiling was caked with dirt like it hasn’t been cleaned since the resort opened in the 70s. The pull out sofa bed had mold on the mattress. All the outlets sparked when you tried to plug something up. The shower was horrible you might as well pour a water bottle over your head instead you’ll get more water pressure that way. The pool chairs are all broken and will fold up while you sitting on them. Stay away from this resort!!!! It’s absolutely disgusting!

Unfortunately we didnt have a good stay at the property our room was like a dungeon wasnt like the picture or description of what we reserved we got stuck with the last room it seems like. The floor was dirty had to wear our shoes the whole time, the bed was a pull out bed not a queen like pictured. The A/C didnt work properly and the room was damp and moldy smelling and the light switch didnt work. The room had a dehumidifier and it was full and dudnt work properly either. Total waste of money we almost just left. We will Never go back or recommend going there.

The beach view!!
Our room was in the center of the hotel. Gorgeous view!! The room was equipped with all the comforts of home, kitchen, dishes, pots enough for 4-6 people. I loved everything about the room...EXCEPT FOR ..our Room 516, we didn't like that the door didn't lock, and we had 2 small children. We had a balcony.
I will visit again!

I would stay again.
The only downside is that there was no working vending machines

Nice and quiet and peaceful

Amazing

My experience at the Hawaiian Inn, specifically room 114, was disappointing. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, the mattress was worn out, the pullout mattress was ancient and lacked bedding, and the towels were threadbare. Additionally, the carpet seemed like it hadn't been changed since the unit was built. Overall, while the hotel itself was okay, room 114 was a letdown and needs significant improvement.
3.3
It was a little disappointing that there was no privacy behind the first floor.
3.3
The outdoor pool and tiki bar is beautiful and you definitely can't beat the location, right on the beach. The rooms on the other hand need a total overhaul
3.3
Love the place feels like home, friendly very welcoming staff. Will definitely be back soon
3.3
I have been coming here since I was a kid. Clean rooms and excellent staff. Marissa the GM is awesome, and so is Selena at the front desk. Across from a Winndixie and an ihop which is helpful.
3.3
Average beach hotel. Stained carpet in hallways. No place to sit comfortably in room.
3.3
None of the amenities they stated they had on the website was available. Only the pool. No indoor pool, shuffle board court or putt putt. The front desk staff is super rude! My pull out bed was broken as well and had to sleep on a tiny cot. Would not go back to this hotel.
3.3
great location, good staff,. hote could use some loving,... upgrades
3.3
None of the amenities that are on the website are here. The staff is rude. Very unpleasant day.
3.3
We were very excited that the pool finally opened just before our arrival.
3.3
I have never left a bad review before. Our room was very dated, The room was dirty, hair in the bathtub from previous guests. Sheets were dirty, there was sand in the bed, floors were dirty. There were cigarettes butts on the floor of the balcony. We were on the 5th floor and the elevators were not working. Mold in the shower. It was absolutely the worst hotel experience ever!
3.3
We had fun weather was great we took our good friend out for her birthday to Joes Crab shack food was delicious our 8 year old has Autism he was so happy to go to the beach made lots of new friends
3.3
Great atmosphere. Only didn’t like the heater issue
3.3
Our room was NOTHING like the pictures posted. I believe some rooms are owned by private people - and those rooms are better than the ones owned by hotel. Everything was very outdated - there was no hammocks, putting green, like the pictures reflected. If all other hotels were not fully booked, we would have changed hotels. However, staff were great, friendly and responsive.
3.3
It was dirty, unpleasant and very run down
